Standing Up To Putin Means Ditching Net-Zero

Vladimir Putin’s inflammatory speech, in which he set out his aim to reconstitute the Russian empire and blamed Lenin for its demise, and his decision to back this up with a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, signals the return of geopolitics. Until now, Western leaders have been saying that the biggest threat to the world is climate change. Now comes Putin armed with nuclear weapons, tanks, and thousands of troops declaring his intent to overthrow Europe’s post-Cold War order. The dilemma for the West: you can’t win a geopolitical conflict lasting years or decades with an economy powered intermittently by wind turbines and solar panels.

It's rarely mentioned but Russia undoubtedly has fanned the flames of the 'Green' movement. The whole scheme makes Western countries vulnerable. Naive and/or stupid Westerners must delight Putin.

"Net zero" is an entirely unnecessary, foolish concept that does nothing but harm the average person. Rich folks can pay for 'whatever', but the farther down the economic ladder you are, the more important inexpensive energy for your car, your home, are. And in the third world, energy is one of the biggest things that prevents people from having a middle class lifestyle. You can see how well off a country is by what the average person uses for transportation. Feet at the bottom, bicycles one step up, and then small motorcycles and mopeds are next, using very little fuel, but increasing 'radius of action' a lot. Next are the tiny cars, the 500cc and 1000 cc four wheeled ones. Italy in the 1960s, when I first lived there was at this stage, the "cinquecento" was the most common vehicle. The word means '500' in Italian, and they were tiny 500cc two cylinder four seaters, barely. India is just above this level now. The WEF/Davos crowd wants us ALL (worldwide) back to that level or less, using bikes, or micro cars, or public buses or trolleys while they fly around in private jets and ride in Mercedes and Bentley cars.

I wonder what that delusional nit with John Kerry will say after the Nukes go off. I'm sure he'll still want Putin to work with him on global warming (if it still exists).

FTA: In late 2019, Boris Johnson banned commercial fracking. Earlier this month, the British government ordered that concrete be poured into the country’s two exploratory shale wells and for them to be abandoned. If Boris Johnson was a net-zero, Greta-greenie before he became Prime Minister he (and/or the media) hid it well from the public.

net zero is a regressive tax on the ignorant poor who believe the scat. notice how the climate change/global warming predictions always include weasel words such as may, might, could? We are expected to do without so generations unborn may, might, could not be inconvenienced but may, might, coukd have no freedom?

Even if the neurotic fantasies of the climate alarmists were true, Net Zero would be, at best, symbolic, since, by their own calculations, even if it's carbon goals were met the effect on "climate change" would be insignificant. The left wants civilization to jump off a cliff as an empty gesture to show we care.

Net-Zero is just a part of the new math where 2+2=0. The forms of energy they consider zero are far from zero and in fact probably worse than the forms they are supposed to replace.

These net-wits have yet to realize that people like Putin do not give a rodent's rectum for The Earth, other than to seize as much of it as possible for their own. How bad to things have to get before they begin to get a clue?

It's been almost two years since the summer of violent Black Lives Matter insurrections and cop-hating crusades. The actions of that summer inflicted $2 billion in property damage in 220 American cities, killed scores of people, and spiked record homicide rates in a dozen municipalities run by Democrat politicians and supporters. This unprecedented eruption of hatred and violence was fueled by a racial hoax claiming that there was an "open season" on black lives, despite the fact that there is no evidence to support this claim, whether statistical or circumstantial. Apart from affirmative action, which was given a pass by the Supreme Court, and despite the

A Ukrainian brewery has switched craft beer for Molotov cocktails in the fight against advancing Russian troops. The workers at the Pravda brewery in Lviv decided to produce the petrol bombs amid fears that Russian tanks will roll into the western city of 720,000 residents near the Polish border, Agence France-Presse reported. The company began producing the incendiary weapons for the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces, which is made up of reservists who responded to President Volodymyr Zelensky’s call to take up arms. “You have to wait for the cloth to be well soaked. When it is, that means the Molotov cocktail is ready,” one smiling employee told AFP as he stuffed the cloth

Russian troops are advancing briskly into Ukraine. Vladimir Putin has brushed off Old Joe Biden’s sanctions and made it abundantly clear that he is not afraid of Biden, as Democrat operatives and their propaganda arm, the establishment media, have long insisted. This is what happens when America has a feeble president, an obvious figurehead, and our military is compromised by Leftist ideologues. Clearly Putin is taking advantage of Biden’s obvious weakness and the decimation of our Armed Forces by wokeness and Covid hysteria. He knows that there is little likelihood that Biden will touch off World War III by

On Wednesday’s broadcast of “NBC Nightly News,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the U.S. has hit Russia “hard” with sanctions, he has reason to believe Russia will be engaging in something similar to a full invasion of Ukraine before the end of the night, and “everything is in place for Russia to move forward.” Host Lester Holt asked, “Do you have reason to believe that, before this night is over, Russian forces will be engaged in something akin to a full invasion of Ukraine?” Blinken answered, “I do. Unfortunately, Russia has positioned its forces at the final point of readiness across Ukraine’s borders, to the north,

I guess we’ll get a chance to see if the American left can be as tyrannical and authoritarian as Canada’s ruling Liberal Party has been. The Capitol Police is getting ready to flex its authoritarian muscles already. “Law enforcement agencies across the National Capital Region are aware of plans for a series of truck convoys arriving in Washington, DC around the time of the State of the Union. Fears over over Vladimir Putin’s threatened invasion of Ukraine continue to grow despite the fact that the effort would burst both Russia’s military and economy, not to mention ruining its foreign relations. Swallowing a poison pawn makes so little sense that UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson says Russia’s Putin may be “irrational,” unable to act in his own best interests. Yet it is not only the Kremlin’s behavior that has a bizarre feel to it. Despite decrying the seriousness of the situation, Western governments aren’t obviously readying for a European conflict. Instead they are focusing on masks, mandates and invoking war powers

Let us pause once more over the appearance of Vice President Kamala Harris at the Munich Security Conference this pasts weekend. Her prepared remarks at the conference over the weekend weren’t enough. She felt compelled to speak extemporaneously in a question and answer session that went on for 16 minutes on her way out the door yesterday. It may be somewhat unfair to highlight one quotable quote that displays her Valley Girl vacuity. The White House has posted a transcript of her remarks at the press gaggle she held at the Westin Grand Munich. The transcript is posted here. Before she took questions, Harris announced: “At stake is the NATO Alliance,

"Freedom," warned the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, which is funded by the Trudeau government, is a word that has "become common among far-right groups." To prove its point, the CBC quoted Elisabeth Anker, a George Washington University prof, who claimed that freedom is a "slippery concept" and that those on the right want "violent" freedoms that reject being "bound by norms of equality" or "norms to remedy inequality." On, in other words, freedom from state coercion to create the ideal society of the state. Anker wrote a book titled Ugly Freedoms which argues that "individual liberty has always been entangled with white supremacy, settler colonialism, climate destruction, economic exploitation, and patriarchy.”

As the midterm 2022 elections approach, the expectation is that, with thirty Democrat House retirements and the continued unraveling of the Biden Administration, the Dems are about to experience historic losses in both the House and Senate. However, the evil geniuses within the Democrat party have identified the Fourteenth Amendment as a vehicle to thwart Republican dreams of achieving a massive political realignment. Therefore, it may be shortsighted to count the one-time party of Jefferson as down-and-out until the last glimmering frenzy has been extinguished. I’m having a problem using the president’s formal title and name together. It’s not a matter of Republican disrespect for a Democrat. I referred to both Barack Obama and Bill Clinton by their presidential titles. It’s a matter of legitimacy. Over half of all Americans now believe that fraud affected the outcome of the last Presidential election. The Arizona election audit didn’t prove that the Donald won, as many hoped. But it did prove that we don’t really know who won that state. Given the election shenanigans around the country in November 2020, there is certainly justification to question the outcome.
