WEST PALM BEACH, FL – A child sex offender wanted for shooting a sheriff’s deputy was shot and killed by an armed homeowner when he broke into a West Palm Beach home early Saturday morning, according to the West Palm Beach Police Department. The suspect broke a window at the home and climbed inside around 4 a.m. When the unlucky burglar turned on the bedroom light, the couple sleeping inside were awakened. The couple, a 44-year-old man and 53-year-old woman, confronted the intruder, and resulted “in the intruder being shot by one of the residents,” according to the West Palm Beach Police Department.

If Democrats (plus a couple of hoplophobic Republicans) manage to disarm these homeowners as Biden plans to do, home invasions like these will turn out badly for the victims and well for the criminals. Frankly, if the law will not deal properly with these violent criminals and allows them run free, their victims will have to step up and perform the unpleasant task of removing these home invaders from this world, permanently. It would be better if the police did most of the removal work, but as a cop friend told me over and over, when you're attacked, you're on you own. Your self defense is YOUR responsibility. The cops are not going to save you during an attack. They won't be there unless you survive the attack and summon them.

This is the only sure way to make sure these perps don't do it again. Late arrival of the police or an AG that is soft on crime is not a problem. The couple in bed were lucky to survive considering that they did not awaken until the intruder turned on their bedroom light.

Anyone who thinks they can sneak into a Home in Florida hasn't been paying attention. Florida has the most Conceal and Carry permits in the Country! Then there are the Gun owners who are allowed to have a gun for protection in their home! This guy got what he deserved! Floridians are not afraid to use a gun when necessary. We have Ranges all over the place where we can go and practice so we know how to handle a gun. I think the Low Life Robbers should go to a Blue State if they hope to have any Luck at all in taking what doesn't belong to them!

Is it me or is there a gap in the story? I want to know what happened between the time the perp turned on the light and the homeowner shooting him. If they were asleep when the light came on how did they have time to get their gun? I like a story with a happy ending but I want more details.

Putin Sizes Up Biden, Invades Ukraine 11 replies

Russian troops are advancing briskly into Ukraine. Vladimir Putin has brushed off Old Joe Biden’s sanctions and made it abundantly clear that he is not afraid of Biden, as Democrat operatives and their propaganda arm, the establishment media, have long insisted. This is what happens when America has a feeble president, an obvious figurehead, and our military is compromised by Leftist ideologues. Clearly Putin is taking advantage of Biden’s obvious weakness and the decimation of our Armed Forces by wokeness and Covid hysteria. He knows that there is little likelihood that Biden will touch off World War III by

On Wednesday’s broadcast of “NBC Nightly News,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the U.S. has hit Russia “hard” with sanctions, he has reason to believe Russia will be engaging in something similar to a full invasion of Ukraine before the end of the night, and “everything is in place for Russia to move forward.” Host Lester Holt asked, “Do you have reason to believe that, before this night is over, Russian forces will be engaged in something akin to a full invasion of Ukraine?” Blinken answered, “I do. Unfortunately, Russia has positioned its forces at the final point of readiness across Ukraine’s borders, to the north,

I guess we’ll get a chance to see if the American left can be as tyrannical and authoritarian as Canada’s ruling Liberal Party has been. The Capitol Police is getting ready to flex its authoritarian muscles already. “Law enforcement agencies across the National Capital Region are aware of plans for a series of truck convoys arriving in Washington, DC around the time of the State of the Union. Fears over over Vladimir Putin’s threatened invasion of Ukraine continue to grow despite the fact that the effort would burst both Russia’s military and economy, not to mention ruining its foreign relations. Swallowing a poison pawn makes so little sense that UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson says Russia’s Putin may be “irrational,” unable to act in his own best interests. Yet it is not only the Kremlin’s behavior that has a bizarre feel to it. Despite decrying the seriousness of the situation, Western governments aren’t obviously readying for a European conflict. Instead they are focusing on masks, mandates and invoking war powers

Let us pause once more over the appearance of Vice President Kamala Harris at the Munich Security Conference this pasts weekend. Her prepared remarks at the conference over the weekend weren’t enough. She felt compelled to speak extemporaneously in a question and answer session that went on for 16 minutes on her way out the door yesterday. It may be somewhat unfair to highlight one quotable quote that displays her Valley Girl vacuity. The White House has posted a transcript of her remarks at the press gaggle she held at the Westin Grand Munich. The transcript is posted here. "Freedom," warned the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, which is funded by the Trudeau government, is a word that has "become common among far-right groups." To prove its point, the CBC quoted Elisabeth Anker, a George Washington University prof, who claimed that freedom is a "slippery concept" and that those on the right want "violent" freedoms that reject being "bound by norms of equality" or "norms to remedy inequality." On, in other words, freedom from state coercion to create the ideal society of the state. Anker wrote a book titled Ugly Freedoms which argues that "individual liberty has always been entangled with white supremacy, settler colonialism, climate destruction, economic exploitation, and patriarchy.”

Watching the Biden Administration do foreign policy, particularly in the middle of a crisis, is like watching a slow train wreck. You know they’re going to hit that car that’s lying up ahead in the tracks, but they just keep speeding headlong into it. Unfortunately, we saw what a horrible debacle that turned into in Afghanistan — and it doesn’t seem like they learned anything from that with the way they are responding to the Russian threat on Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been begging for the West, and specifically the United States, to put in pre-emptive sanctions to back Russia off. Howard Stern was never just another entertainer. For millions of (mostly male) fans—first in New York, and later, thanks to syndication, in markets around North America—he was the guy who helped get them through the day and rise above their mundane frustrations, with his irreverent humor about politics and pop culture and hilarious rants about his own life, which, in the 1980s and 1990s, was unspectacular enough that an ordinary working stiff could easily identify with him. Like many of his listeners, Stern was a husband, father, and put-upon employee, who began and ended every weekday

This is really a remarkable admission from MSNBC reporter Alex Seitz-Wald, who gave a grim assessment of the Democrats’ challenge in lifting COVID-19 restrictions across the board and returning the United States to some sense of “normal.” A recent poll showed a whopping 65% of Democrats who believe it “too early to rescind mask mandates” as opposed to just 20% of Republicans who think that way. How does that mesh with Democratic governors who are in the process of lifting mask mandates in their states? It may seem hard to believe that America’s neighbor to the north is now a full-fledged, up-and-running police state. Heavily-armed police are arresting and, in some cases, roughing up, severely beating, and trampling with horses members of the truckers’ Freedom Convoy in Ottawa as well as bystanders. The country has gone off the rails. Justin Trudeau’s ineffable Justice Minister David Lametti is on record threatening those who hold the wrong political views that they are liable to have their bank accounts seized. “If you are a member of a pro-Trump movement who is donating hundreds of thousands of dollars, and millions of dollars to this kind of thing,” he said,

Former President Barack Obama issued a message of support for President Joe Biden on Thursday, urging Americans to unite behind economic sanctions against Russia. “Every American, regardless of party, should support President Biden’s efforts, in coordination with our closest allies, to impose hard-hitting sanctions on Russia,” Obama said in a statement sent to reporters, defending Biden’s sanctions as a serious attempt to put “a real price on Russia’s autocratic elites.” Obama’s statement of support for Biden follows his own failure to stop Putin from annexing Crimea in 2014 when he was president. As we noted earlier, they are facing some tough fighting from the Ukrainians as well as thousands of protesters in Russia who have come out against the war. That’s quite something, given the oppressive state of Russia and how they would face immediate retribution. Yet, protesters have come out anyway. Republican Sens.
