Yesterday Jazz wrote about an Associated Press story headlined “‘The brand is so toxic’: Dems fear extinction in rural US.” The gist of the story is that some Democrats worry their party could be wiped out in rural areas in states like Pennsylvania because the party has become so associated with far left views.
[Sen. Heidi Heitkamp] said Democrats are hurting themselves by not speaking out more forcefully against far-left positions that alienate rural voters, such as the push to “defund the police.”
While only a handful of Democrats in Congress support stripping such money from police departments, for example, conservative media popular in rural communities — particularly Fox News — amplifies

For years, Republicans have been predicting that Nancy Pelosi’s embrace of the so-called “squad” would lead to a political backlash, and that backlash appears to have arrived. Democrats are now lamenting the fact that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Cori Bush, and Ayanna Pressley have been allowed to define their party at such a high level.
From the Green New Deal to the “defund the police” movement, Democrat radicalism is becoming a major liability heading into the midterms, per Axios. The hard-left politics of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and the so-called “Squad,” once a dominant theme for vast numbers of elected Democrats, is backfiring big-time on the party in power,

In Canada, first the doxing, then the struggle session.
This week, one of the most popular small-donor fundraising sites for the Canadian truckers protesting the COVID vaccine mandates, GiveSendGo, was hacked. The names of donors were shared with the public. We know about this mostly because erstwhile news organizations, such as Reuters, have showered attention on the breach as if they were providing a public service. Indeed, many of the same outlets that refused to report specifics about the Hunter Biden email scoop in 2020 (though the story was obtained in a completely ethical journalistic manner) or share specifics from the Democratic National Committee email hacks in 2016 (illegally obtained,

Canadian banks will receive the names of people involved in “Freedom Convoy” protests that have descended on the nation’s capital, a first step in a promised financial crackdown on demonstrators being instituted by the far-left government of Justin Trudeau. Bloomberg reports the Canadian Bankers Association confirmed the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has alerted banks to a list of names and made it available. The institutions are reportedly still seeking clarity from law enforcement on how to handle the alleged protesters’ accounts, according to people familiar with the matter. But Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland said some accounts have already been frozen, the news outlet reported.

Democrats are beginning to want change in the White House, whether it is a new strategy since the administration has minimal accomplishments or new top staffers surrounding President Joe Biden.
While Biden’s poll numbers are falling — recently receiving his lowest approval numbers at 33 percent — it appears that he is failing on the political front, according to a recent report from NBC News. The report stated that the president’s message isn’t resonating with Americans. His party’s chances of keeping their congressional majority are slim, his Build Back Better plan is dead, he failed at fixing the Chinese coronavirus, and inflation is on the rise.

As columnist Jeff Jacoby put it, why not just call Clarence Thomas an Uncle Tom? This bon mot in a reported analysis about Rep. James Clyburn’s credibility doesn’t even qualify as a dog whistle. It’s as subtle as an air horn.
How did this get past an editor, even at the Washington Post?
Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-Miss.), a friend and ally of Clyburn’s for over 30 years, said even Clyburn’s critics respect his political instincts and his connection with a valuable but often disappointed subset of Democratic voters.
“Nobody that I’m aware of feels that opposing Clyburn’s nomination would be the wise thing to do,”

On Thursday, attorneys for Michael Sussmann, the lawyer from Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign who was charged last year with lying to federal agents, filed a motion to dismiss Special Counsel John Durham’s case against him, reports the New York Post. The lawyers called the matter “extraordinary prosecutorial overreach.” Sussmann’s legal team insists that he didn’t make false statements to the FBI and that he’s being targeted on a technicality. Sussman voluntarily approached FBI agents in Sept. 2016 to “pass along information that raised national security concerns.” Instead, Sussman came to them with bogus information linking the Trump Organization and the Kremlin-linked Alfa-Bank.

The parents’ revolution has notched another win.
This week, three members of San Francisco’s Board of Education — Gabriela López, Alison Collins and Faauuga Moliga — suffered overwhelming defeat in a recall election brought by angry parents who felt they were more concerned with lefty politics than with children’s welfare. The parents’ case was strengthened by the fact that they were, well, right. Siva Raj, one of the recall organizers, said, “The city of San Francisco has risen up and said this is not acceptable, to put our kids last.” As COVID raged, the school board paid more attention to renaming schools — it wanted to rename Abraham Lincoln HS because its namesake didn’t show

Democrats across the nation are embarrassed about the perception of the Democrat Party’s growing toxicity.
The Democrat Party, which has pushed wokism, open borders, police defunding, and coronavirus mandates is specifically struggling with rural voters throughout the nation. The struggles have been reported by the Associated Press and Politico in two articles over two days, alerting Democrat Party leaders of the impending doom come November’s midterm elections.
“The trend lines in rural America are very, very bad. …

Russia has expelled the second-most senior American diplomat at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow as tensions between the two countries continue to rise over a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine, the State Department said Thursday.
“Russia’s action against our [deputy chief of mission] was unprovoked and we consider this an escalatory step and are considering our response,” a State Department spokesman said after U.S. deputy chief of mission Bart Gorman was ordered to leave the country despite having a valid visa.

Canada’s Justice Minister, David Lametti, has told Trump supporters who donated to the “Freedom Convoy” to “be worried” about having their bank accounts frozen.
Speaking with CTV News, when Lametti was asked if regular citizens who donated to the “Freedom Convoy” protests in opposition to the vaccine mandates should be worried about having their assets frozen by the government, Lametti singled out pro-Trumpers. The reporter asked: You just compared people who may have donated to this to the same people who maybe are funding a terrorist. I just want to be clear here, sir. A lot of folks say, ‘Look, I just don’t like your vaccine mandates and I donated

A Canadian man who has claimed to be involved in other hacks took credit for the hack on GiveSendGo that resulted in a release of the names of donors to the Freedom Convoy protest in Canada.
Here is the admission of Aubrey Cottle, aka “Kirtaner,” on Tik Tok, and it’s unique, often at the top of his lungs.
Warning for graphic language: “Yes, I tossed the trucker. I hacked GiveSendGo, and I’d do it again. I’d do it a hundred times. I did it. I did it. Come at me. What are you going to do to me?” Cottle said in the video. “I’m literally
