SMETHPORT, Pa. — Some Democrats here in rural Pennsylvania are afraid to tell you they’re Democrats. The party’s brand is so toxic in the small towns 100 miles northeast of Pittsburgh that some liberals have removed bumper stickers and yard signs and refuse to acknowledge their party affiliation publicly. These Democrats are used to being outnumbered by the local Republican majority, but as their numbers continue to dwindle, the few that remain are feeling increasingly isolated and unwelcome in their own communities. “The hatred for Democrats is just unbelievable,” said Tim Holohan, an accountant based in rural McKean County who

Hatred? Not really. 99% of the blind, spitting hate comes from the Democrats. Two of my neighbors had Biden signs in their yards, but nobody touched them. They are basically nice people and I simply don't agree with their ideology, but nobody conservative that I know would vandalize their signs. I do remember the constant vandalism of Trump signs, the restaurants refusing to serve people with MAGA hats, etc., etc. This is, of course, the AP trying to picture rural and small town citizens as hate-filled bigots.

Didn't Joe Dementia win Pennsylvania by over 80,000 votes? They can always get more fake mail ins or shift the decimal point on the Dominion counting machines. For this reality to be converted into actual electoral results, we must be vigilant. Organize poll watchers. Poll counting observers. Once the first (fake) results are announced it is too late. The courts will do nothing.

These have earned far more than our disgust. I am not sure they should even be considered citizens any more. If they might publicly acknowledge their sins and throw themselves on the mercy of God Himself, then and only then might they BEGIN to right the wrongs they have visited on this once-great nation.

FTA - "One patron, 22-year-old college student Eugenia Barboza, said the cafe is one of the few places in town she feels safe as a Latina immigrant. Just down the road, she said, a caravan of Trump supporters met up to drive to the deadly protests in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021." Nice to see an AP article describe the situation in such an unbiased fashion! I'll bet at least one of the Trump supporters even had a pickup truck - maybe with a U.S. flag flying! No wonder this 22-year-old was quaking with fear!

Just down the road, she said, a caravan of Trump supporters met up to drive to the deadly protests in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021.” THIS rhetoric, right here, published by AP is why there is such a great divide. I promise you that Latina’s fears were all in her mind, driven by writing in articles like this who falsely describe the Jan 6 protest as “violent”. Thousands and thousands of people went to hear Trump speak that day and the atmosphere was wonderful, according to what I read from people who were there, and the videos I watched at that time. Grrr! The media creates a false narrative that conservatives are dangerous and violent when the opposite is true. I am a conservative refugee from the SF Bay Area and can tell you it is literally far more dangerous for a conservative to be publicly known there than to be a dem in a rural area. To keep your job and safeguard your house and person you have to be undercover. We’ve all read of the high profile people driven from their jobs in Silicon Valley once their conservative leanings became known! Such intolerance I lay at the feet of the media and their Dem masters. They created this!

I certainly hope the GOP doesn't let those claiming to be democrats to get away with sounding moderate or conservative when they simply end up voting the liberal/progressive agenda once elected. Don't let them try to fool people any longer. And, if you're a moderate or conservative democrat, stop pretending the party resembles anything close to what it did 20 years ago, much less 30-50 years ago.

The 22 year old latina is hard to believe. My immediate response was that she is a figment of some AP reporter's (who probably has not left center city Chicago since the Carter administration) imagination. Latinos are a significant part of the rural landscape throughout the US. Without them we would mostly starve. They provide a disproportionate percentage of American farm labor and their contribution is one that needs to be addressed in a revamped legal immigration system. They are essential, and productive members of our society, unlike many of the far left SWJ's preaching to the AP. She is certainly no local pariah because of her race, her political attitudes, on the other hand.... And to all the rest? Tough, I was pretty much forced to live in the closet in MA for 2 decades because of the ramped up leftwing hatred machine. You don't see Trump stickers on MA cars, not because we didn't exist, we just liked our paint jobs intact. I cannot count the number of times friends, reasonable and generally good people, would suddenly spout some incredibly over the top stupid right wingers are all fascist type nonsense in crowded social situations, secure in the mistaken knowledge that their drivel would be extolled as virtuos and wise in the echo chamber. They were so completely indoctrinated in this mindset that they did not even realize how bigoted and often vitriolic their statements could be. Many were absolutely stunned that anyone could even have another opinion, and their conception of rural America was entirely informed by reruns of The Beverly Hillbillies and The Dukes of Hazard. Very sad.

The only thing different between the "moderate" dems and the progressives that are pushing the party over a cliff is that the progressives are more in-your-face. They all believe in the same thing, power. The "moderates" are just more patient and sneaky while they lie to your face. I live in rural southern Indiana. One neighbor at the end of the road always has Dems signs and support public schools signs and no one bothers the signs and are friendly to the them. The rest of us on the road are Republicans -- farmers, working people, hunters, conservative. When you drive into town is where the Dems live and you dare not identify as Republican there. When my parents got older they moved into town for an easier life and when they put up their sign for a Republican candidate it was stolen. I, of course, went and got them a replacement sign that was even bigger.

The Democrats have only one course of action open to them at this point of self-destruction. They need to cancel, or nullify, or in some way render the midterms null and void. It will be a blood bath for them, everyone knows it, and they know it. But they are so deep-down power hungry and deceitful, they are not going to just amble on into the electoral wood chipper. What will they do? It's an interesting question, and I hope that some Republicans are thinking hard about it so that it does not come as a great surprise.

Four Senate Republicans failed to show up to vote on an amendment that would have defunded President Joe Biden’s remaining vaccine mandates, thus ensuring its failure. The Senate voted on Sen. Mike Lee’s (R-UT) amendment to the continuing resolution (CR), which would defund Biden’s remaining vaccine mandates. The measure failed 46-47, with Sens. Mitt Romney (R-UT), Jim Inhofe (R-OK), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Richard Burr (R-NC) failing to show up, depriving Senate Republicans a potential majority to pass the amendment to the CR.

The beleaguered Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation has been kicked off Amazon’s charity platform for its failure to disclose where tens of millions in donations it received nearly two years ago have ended up. AmazonSmile, which gives a portion of eligible purchases on the online shopping site to charities, said it “had to temporarily suspend” the group today, an Amazon spokesperson told The Post. “States have rules for nonprofits, and organizations participating in AmazonSmile need to meet those rules,” the spokesperson said. “Unfortunately this organization fell out of compliance with the rules in several states, so we’ve had to temporarily suspend them from the program until

No, no, no, no, no. Dear God, no.Hillary Clinton is seriously mulling a run in 2024. There’s simply no other way to interpret her speech at Thursday’s New York State Democratic Party Convention.Like the Tracy Flick she is, Clinton could barely make it through name-checking Gov. Hochul before eagerly leapfrogging into national politics. Apologies to Tracy Flick. At least she knew how to win an election. Not enough that Hillary carpet-bagged her way into a New York State Senate seat, itself a pretext for her first failed presidential run.

The Canadian government is issuing warnings to anyone involved in the massive anti-mandate protests, saying that in addition to freezing bank accounts and towing their trucks, they can confiscate pets as well. A tweet from the official account for Ottawa’s by-law and regulatory services read, “Attention animal owners at demonstration: If you are unable to care for your animal as a result of enforcement actions, your animal will placed into protective care for 8 days, at your cost. After 8 days, if arrangements are not made, your animal will be considered relinquished.” According to tweet, the law applied to animals that were left without

Joe Biden got lost and claimed he once was a lifeguard on Lake Oswego in New York. The problem is there is no such place. Biden’s just keeps making things up not realizing how demoralizing this is for his Administration and the country. During a speech yesterday, Joe Biden shared that he once worked as a lifeguard on Lake Oswego when talking about New York. The problem is there is no Lake Oswego in New York. There is a Lake Oswego in Oregon but there is no evidence Biden worked there. He’s probably never been there.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has admitted soaring US inflation is 'not acceptable'—then insisted the American economy would be even worse were it not for the very spending by the Biden administration that has been blamed for soaring prices. Speaking to AFP, Yellen said of the rise in cost of living—which hit 7.5 per cent last month: 'Inflation is clearly a great concern to Americans, and it really needs to be addressed. 'Certainly it's not acceptable to stay at current levels.' Her words were in marked contrast to Joe Biden's, who has repeatedly insisted that surging inflation figures are 'elevated,' and a temporary phenomenon. Yellen—who is America's first female

Hillary Clinton claimed accusations her campaign spied on Donald Trump are a 'conspiracy' tied to his mounting legal issues and slammed Republicans for backing 'coup plotters' and pushing the 'big lie' in her major comeback speech in New York on Thursday. 'We can't get distracted, whether it's by the latest culture war nonsense, or some new right wing lie on Fox or Facebook - by the way they've been coming after me again lately in case you might have noticed,' Clinton told the New York Democratic Convention in response to special counsel John Durham's filing over on Friday. 'It's funny, the more trouble Trump gets into

So far, Justin Trudeau’s invocation of the Emergencies Act hasn’t yielded any overt scenes of state power; no clouds of tear gas or columns of troops being marched into the capital. But it’s very different story within the Canadian financial sector. One of the most far-reaching implications of the Emergencies Act is what it prescribes for the Canadian financial system. According to the government’s new Emergency Economic Measures Order, every single bank, credit union, investment broker and insurance provider in the country has been deputized to figure out if they have a blockader as a client, and to immediately freeze their accounts if so.
