CNN poll: Biden collapsing "across the board"

Original Article

The good news for Joe Biden in today’s CNN poll: his job approval got above 40%. The bad news is that there are nearly no undecideds when it comes to his performance as president. Biden hits a high of 58% disapproval in the latest CNN survey and gets a -17 gap in approval that manages to outstrip his already-pathetic RCP aggregate gap.CNN’s data provides the real takeaway, which is that Biden’s confidence-crisis cascade has accelerated rather than slowed: Nearly 6 in 10 Americans disapprove of how Joe Biden is handling his presidency, with most of that group saying there’s literally nothing Biden has done

There is no one who isn't a vapid libtard or just a hardcore partisan who thinks this senile clown is doing anywhere near a good job.

House Dems break against mask mandate 8 replies

It’s been one of the greatest sources of tension between House Republicans and Democrats for a year now: a chamber-wide mandate requiring lawmakers to mask up before they vote — and steep fines if they refuse. But now some House Democrats are following the lead of Democratic governors, calling for an end to mask mandates — even as their party imposes one in the House chamber. Charges of hypocrisy are in the air. Last year, House Democrats enacted new rules that fine offenders (namely protesting Republicans) $500 the first time they fail to mask up, and $2,500 per infraction after that.

We can understand if Dr. Anthony Fauci, the uber-scientist who knows it all, did not enjoy his Monday coffee as he opened the morning newspapers. Three thousand miles away, Big Tech social media cops who now control with an iron hand every American conversation in the public square (no differently from Mukhabarat police organizations of the Middle East) were similarly having a bad start to the week. Gov. Philip Murphy of New Jersey, a liberal Democrat in one of the bluest states, had just announced a return to a life of normalcy. Students, teachers, and employees in state schools would no longer be required to wear masks.

Is a modicum of sanity about to reassert itself regarding the Wuhan Flu? Are the people finally exhausted by their panic over the Fauci-altered coronavirus? Remember those little bulletins that Mike Pence carried around, enjoining us all to to take “fifteen days to stop the spread”? I think we’re at about day 750 now. New York restaurants and many cultural emporia demand that you produce your papiers (it sounds better in German) — identification plus an image attesting to your “vaccination status” — in order to enter. Some are even requiring proof that you’ve had a “booster” jab. Pfizer likes that.
Four blue states preparing to ditch mask mandates 5 replies

Yesterday, Allahpundit pointed out one of the early cracks in the blue wall of support for mask mandates, particularly in public schools. New Jersey’s governor seemed to be ready to throw in the towel and stop fighting public sentiment on the issue. Well, shortly after that, the push to put an end to the mandates appeared to start spreading faster than the Omicron variant. Three more blue state governors joined Phil Murphy in saying that mandates would be coming to an end either this month or in March. Oregon, Connecticut, and Delaware jumped on the bandwagon, with the governors of those states sounding suspiciously like the protesters

Democratic strategist James Carville cursed out unvaccinated individuals on his podcast last week, saying anyone without a vaccine was a "piece of --" and he wanted to punch them in the face. On Thursday's "Politics War Room with James Carville & Al Hunt," Carville and Hunt took a listener question wondering why President Biden would not pass a bill that bars unvaccinated citizens from interstate travel."I wouldn’t be against that at all. I’d be for it actually, as long as you put ‘or testing.’ Before you get on a plane or bus or interstate train, you want to be vaccinated or tested. I don’t think the Supreme Court would allow

The Democrats are facing a grim November if they can’t find some way to energize their increasingly disillusioned base. Consequently, they regard the retirement of Justice Stephen Breyer from the Supreme Court as a golden opportunity to rekindle enthusiasm among their voters. President Biden, having already committed to replacing Breyer with an affirmative action hire, is all but certain to nominate a far left radical in order to provoke a confirmation brawl with the GOP as the midterms approach. The Republicans, however, have little to gain by trading punches in such an altercation. They would be wiser to employ a “rope-a-dope” strategy.

President Joe Biden will launch a slate of new actions Thursday aimed at combating rising crime and gun violence in major metropolitan areas across the country. Biden will announce the new programs during a visit to New York City on Thursday with Mayor Eric Adams and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul."The President is committed to serving as a strong partner for communities on the frontlines of the fight against crime. That’s why his American Rescue Plan gives cities and states historic levels of funding that they can use to put more cops on the beat, and invest in community-based violence prevention and intervention programs," the White House said in a statement.

The rush to blame every instance of hate on the right is hardly a new phenomenon. Things are so absurd that we’ve even seen the rise in black-on-Asian hate crimes attributed to Donald Trump saying “China virus.” You know, because minority groups in New York City and San Francisco are renowned for taking their political cues from Trump. Still, despite more noose hoaxes than one can count, the left can always be counted on to jump to conclusions, and those conclusions usually involve pointing the finger at MAGA. That happened again recently after commuters noticed a series of hand-drawn swastikas on the outside of Union Station in Washington, DC.

If you’re a Democrat, things are going very, very badly for you. And it’s not going to get better. According to a recent McLaughlin and Associates study, 65 percent of likely voters believe that the United States is on the wrong track. That’s hardly surprising considering the multitude of poor decisions the fascists in charge have made since taking power. The McLaughlin study also showed that Joe Biden’s approval rating has crumbled to 41 percent, which is high compared to Quinippiac’s 33 percent. NBC poll numbers were so bad that noted corporate propagandist and regime cheerleader, Chuck Todd, who masquerades as a journalist for that network

The National Governors Association (NGA) held its winter meeting in Washington, D.C. on January 28 – 31. It was the first time in two years the group of the country’s governors met in Washington because of the pandemic. The bipartisan group found two areas in which to agree – it is time to move ahead with living with COVID-19, and Joe Biden receives failing grades for his performance in office. Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, a Republican, is chair of the group. He told the White House that governors want the CDC to provide clear guidance on ways for states to transition from pandemic to endemic status.

There’s been a rather weird dance going on among Democratic elected officials around the country this winter in terms of how to frame their message in terms of COVID mandates. It seems to have slowly dawned on them that people are fed up with both the pandemic and the restrictions that have been imposed on them, with significant majorities of people just wanting life to “get back to normal.” But at the same time, many officials are frightened out of their wits that they will be blamed if they “don’t do enough” and even a single additional person dies from COVID.

The Biden administration is putting out new details on its effort to create 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations–with new efforts to push out funds to have them line interstates at 50-mile intervals. The administration is awarding $5 billion over five years to states to have them build thousands of electric vehicle charging stations. Another $2.5 billion will go out in grants to be decided later. It all comes from the $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure plan that was enacted late last year and that the administration continues to sell, amid the collapse of Biden's Build Back Better plan. The charging stations would work with all electric vehicles

The commercial also calls Kaepernick a "two-time Super Bowl quarterback," which is false. Kaepernick appeared in one Super Bowl, a 34-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

With COVID deaths now topping 910,000, the Biden administration and the rest of the Democratic left are deciding to ease up on their mandate regime. We need to learn to live with COVID, they say – repeating advice President Donald Trump issued back in October 2020. We’re all for ditching the left’s COVID police state, even if Democrats’ reason is political, as we pointed out in this space yesterday. But that leaves us with a question: Was any of it worth it? Did any of the guidelines, mandates, orders, shutdowns, cancelations, lockdowns do anything to alter the course of the disease, or
