The California Department of Justice has threatened to hold the leaders of Black Lives Matter personally liable if they fail to fork over information about the charity's $60 million bankroll within the next 60 days, according to a letter obtained by the Washington Examiner. The move came just days after a Washington Examiner investigation found that BLM has had no known leader in charge of its millions since its co-founder resigned in May and that the Los Angeles address it lists on its tax forms is wrong.

After a thorough examination, the California DOJ realized that enough money had not been transferred to the BLM leaders. A check for $8 quadzillion dollars is being drawn on the state coffers to make up for this injustice. In other news, BLM leaders bought the entire provence of Quebec.

What this is *really* about: Yes, California is stupidly woke. However! Money is more important than anything else to the government here and THEY get to pick and choose winners and losers. You are not allowed to self fund no matter how woke you are. Pay the emperor and he then decides how much of his money he will sprinkle back on you depending on how loyal and useful you are. If BLM was hiding money (if? Really? Of course they're corrupt, duh) from the state, you can bet anything they will VERY aggressively pursue ANYONE they need to to recover every penny and then slap some hefty penalties and fines around, too, for good measure.

BLM purports to be a charity. That's a hot one. $ millions will disappear like smoke. Stockholders of companies that forked $ millions to BLM should not be happy with the lack of any due diligence by the fools who didn't think twice before throwing this money to BLM for good press releases. Oh, well, it's only $ millions. Suck it up stockholders.

WASHINGTON – President Joe Biden made an urgent plea Thursday for Congress to extend a nationwide moratorium on evictions, arguing a Supreme Court ruling had left him unable to act on his own. The eviction freeze, which is set to expire on Saturday, was put in place last September by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to protect Americans who have fallen behind on their rent during the coronavirus pandemic.

In the end, almost everyone got what they deserved. The president’s Achilles’ heel—relying on the wrong people to advance his political interests—led to his final ouster this week. Donald Trump ran out of runway and instead of preparing for a soft landing, he pumped the gas. It’s hard to blame him: His court challenges had been thwarted by the very judges he elevated to the federal bench, his hodgepodge legal team whirred in defeat, and Republican senators he helped elect quickly turned on him. As usual, the president was right:

Historians recognize some U.S. presidential elections as realignment elections — elections that fundamentally alter and reconfigure the various voting constituencies of our major political parties. The 2016 presidential election was one such realignment election. The preexisting blue-red partisan split was, at its core, deeply artificial: Both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party had merely been operating along slightly different points within a broader mutually shared neoliberal paradigm.

Across California on May 1, tens of thousands protested in defiance of statewide lockdown orders. In Sacramento, the west lawn of the state capitol building was filled with protesters, with thousands more marching along the sidewalk surrounding the capitol grounds. Additional thousands driving their cars and honking their horns created three hours of total gridlock on the streets that loop around the capitol. Noteworthy protests have taken place in San Diego, Encinitas, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Paso Robles, Santa Rosa, and even tiny Lakeport on the shores of Clear Lake. There is no end in sight.

Former Vice President Mike Pence is dropping anchor in South Carolina as he prepares to mount a 2024 White House bid. Pence is headed back to the Palmetto State in April and May as part of a deliberate strategy to build support with conservative activists and Republican operatives in the state that hosts the third primary on the GOP nominating calendar — and first in the South. Leading this effort is the plugged-in national Republican strategist Chip Saltsman as well as Josh Kimbrell, a state senator described as an “ambassador” for Pence in South Carolina, with other party insiders quietly assisting.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell countered former President Donald Trump on Tuesday saying those charged with crimes for the January 6 Capitol attack shouldn't have their sentences shortened. 'What we saw here on January the 6th was an effort to prevent the peaceful transfer of power from one administration to the other, which had never happened before in our country,' McConnell said at a press conference with GOP leaders. 'My view is I would not be in favor of shortening any of the sentences for any of the people who pleaded guilty to crimes.'

She followed their playbook. She went on ‘The Late Show With Steven Colbert’ and then apologized again on ‘The View’ the next day,” a source said.

Generally speaking, I am not a fan of polls. For one, I’ve never been polled by anyone. For another, the number of people being polled often strikes me as too small a sample from which to draw broad conclusions. Also, those samples more often than not tend to oversample one group, Democrats, let’s say, over another group, which again leads to questions of accuracy. Bottom line, I don’t trust ‘em and tend to ignore them in preference to the only poll that actually counts, the election itself. I’ve often asked myself, what would I do if I were to be contacted to participate in a poll.
