On Friday morning, crowds gathered outside St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City to pay their last respects to NYPD officer Jason Rivera. [Video] It was only last Friday night that the 22-year-old, newlywed Rivera and his partner Wilbert Mora, 27, entered a Harlem apartment building in response to a call of a domestic disturbance by a mother in conflict with her adult son. When Rivera and Mora arrived at the scene, they were confronted by 47-year-old career felon LaShawn McNeil, who seemed to have been spoiling for a fight. Rivera died at the scene. Mora survived on life-support until Tuesday.

The COVID vaccine hasn’t produced that success yet, although as this particular vaccine technology advances, it will surely get there in the future.

The trucker convoy protest has been making its way through Canada’s capital city of Ottawa and has become the largest in history spanning an astounding 45 miles. At the center of the protest is the message that Canadians are rejecting the government vaccine, mask, and lockdown mandates, and the desire to be treated as free westerners, not subjects of a single man and his leftist whims.
Lawmakers in Concord Hampshire are proposing a bill that will allow pharmacists to dispense Ivermectin by means of standing orders.
“Standing order” means a written and signed protocol authored by one or more physicians licensed under RSA 329:12 or one or more advanced practice registered nurses licensed under RSA 326-B:18, the bill stated.
The bill is now in committee but is expected to go to a House vote in the coming weeks, WMUR reported.

The Oregon Court of Appeals has overturned a $135,000 fine imposed on a bakery that refused to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple in 2013.
The court upheld the 2017 ruling against Aaron and Melissa Klein, who owned a bakery called Sweetcakes by Melissa, but scrapped the fine.

Longtime actor Howard Hesseman, most famous for his role as disc jockey Dr. Johnny Fever on the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, has died, says The Hollywood Reporter. He was 81 years old.
Hesseman died at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, of complications from colon surgery that he had last year.
Hesseman had many acting credits to his name. Aside from his role on WKRP in Cincinnati, for which he received two Emmy nominations, he also played history teacher Charlie Moore in the ’80s sitcom Head of the Class, in which he starred for four of its five seasons. He had many other roles and appearances on television,
Some experts have suggested that the omicron variant of COVID-19 could be the beginning of the end of the pandemic. In addition to its relatively low case fatality rate, cases overall are declining.
Don’t jump for joy just yet. Just because COVID may be coming to an end soon doesn’t mean mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and other COVID restrictions will simply disappear.
I hate to be cynical, but considering how leftist government officials have proven themselves unwilling to give up their COVID-era control over people, it seems likely that “life will find a way” for them to continue indulging their lust for power.
