The Greatest Government Failure in American History

Original Article

Posted By: ladydawgfan, 2/1/2022 10:53:52 AM

The tally for how much the federal government spent to combat COVID-19 is now estimated to be $5 trillion. It is more than the combined costs of World Wars I and II. The left is celebrating that politicians in Washington saved us. Really? From what exactly? Two years later, it is time for an honest assessment. Could things have worsened for the country if the government had spent nothing and done nothing? What would have happened if we had not shut down our businesses? Our churches, schools and restaurants. Our parks, basketball courts and playgrounds. Would the public have made worse decisions regarding protecting its health

Comments:

We have been lied to from the beginning and yet the left gleefully spends money on it that this nation doesn't have!!

The Left used Covid to illegally tally mail in ballots and steal a legitimate election. They also used it to destroy small businesses, strengthen their hold on power, and deny us liberty. They used it to sow division between US citizens. They are traitors and their minions in the MSM are their accomplices. Is this not treason?

Dear #1, yes, I wish the government had done less — I wish the government had not mocked and blocked the prescribing of hydrochloroquine and ivermectin (the data’s showing that they are and were effective therapeutics which could have saved hundreds of thousands of lives), and I wish the government hadn’t devastated millions of lives and hadn’t terrorized our children, who soon, I suspect, will be Generation Neuroses.

Sorry Stephen but using any number of dead Americans from or with COviud is a joke. Dr, Birx, herself on national tv, said anyone who died and tested positive for Covid would be counted as a covid death. ICHina is responsible for this virus but inflating the n umber of dead Americans to slam CHIna is a cheap spot and unnecessary. And I really believe the only reason Pfizer and Moderna were able to so quickly develop (useless) vaccines is that they(like all Big Pharma) are and were in cahoots with the CCP/NIAID and the Wuhan Lab. As I recall, Obama pointed Biden's now Chief-of-Staff, Ron Klain to be his ebola Czar and part of the job was preparing for the next possible pandemic - gee, how'd that work out? As for the CDC< NIH, etc., their only contributions to anything related to public health is using tax dollars to fund often times questionable medical "research" - hello - beagle puppies eaten alive by sand fleas. Trish Regan was correct when she stated March 2020 that the covid was going to be used to take down Trump - I paraphrase.

There is a nationwide, ongoing, repurposed drug clinical trial underway right now, called ACTIV-6. It involves placebos along with three different drugs, one of which is Ivermectin. Requirements for participants are listed below. They're looking for people recently diagnosed (no more than ten days ago) with an approved test, and who have at least two symptoms. Participants receive their medication or placebo in the mail, meaning they can participate from home. https://www.newsobserver.com/news/coronavirus/article257483164.html

That's a pretty high bar to cross. I can think of other big ones: The great depression. Surrendering Poland to Stalin Backing Mao in the Chinese civil war. Encouraging the Soviets to start the Korean war. Forcing Nixon out of office. Abandoning S. Vietnam.

Re: #1: How many Americans die or died from lifestyle choices, such as high fat diets, alcoholism, illegal drug use or AIDSs? Conservatives do not want a government that treats citizens like their children and feels the need to make decisions for us based on the biases of politicians and unelected bureaucrats. When Fauci was in charge of the government's response to AIDS, did he advocate for a life-saving policy of weiner lockdowns or enforced tampering with people's genetic codes, aka our brains' operating software?

Under President Biden, the FDA, which had for decades advocated for the use of inexpensive generic drugs whenever possible, is suddenly inaudible and has even spoken out against inexpensive, widely available generic drugs that likely ameliorate COVID symptoms, even though these drugs have decades of safety data behind them. There are two leading explanations for this otherwise inexplicable turn of events: politics and money. Let’s start with politics. Under Biden, the FDA has made it very clear for over two years that they do not approve of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine for treatment of COVID-19, saying there is “insufficient data.”

Protesters from the Canadian trucker convoy took their message to the capital city's busiest airport Thursday morning, slowly circling the airport's arrivals and departures lanes and honking their horns. About 70 trucks were making the rounds "in an attempt to disrupt operations," the Ottawa International Airport Authority said in a statement. Pat King, one of the convoy's key organizers, claimed on Facebook, "We're having a parade." He added that they had been circling the airport for about two hours and didn't have plans to stop. The City of Ottawa sent out a tweet warning passengers to "expect delays" and that the duration was "unknown."

"Slash the tires, empty gas tanks, arrest the drivers, and move the trucks," Kayyem wrote. [Tweet] Kayyem is now a senior lecturer of international security at Harvard University's John F. An arsonist who murdered a father of five during the George Floyd riots was given a reduced sentence after the federal prosecutor in Minnesota asked the judge for leniency because of the arsonist’s “legitimate frustration with the criminal justice system,” according to the Washington Free Beacon. For some Republican members of Congress, the 12-year sentence suggested by prosecutors, when guidelines called for 20 years, proved too much to accept. The arsonist, 26-year-old Montez Terriel Lee, tried to claim he didn’t intend to hurt anyone. But it was the prosecutor’s reasoning that strikes any reasonable person as ludicrous. “Mr. Lee was terribly misguided, and his actions had tragic, unthinkable consequences.

The North Carolina Board of Elections claims it has the power to prevent Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) from running for re-election because of his alleged role in the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol building. Liberal activists had filed the challenge last month using an obscure “disqualification clause” in the Constitution — Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment — which was ratified after the Civil War to prevent Confederate officials and those who supported “insurrection” from returning to office. The problem for the activists is that Cawthorn never supported an “insurrection.”

We are going to crush the Democrats in 2022, and there will be a temptation to sigh and wipe our brow and think it’s all over, but instead of relaxing in 2023 the GOP needs to attack. Think Attila the Hun charging at the head of his horde. Think George Patton leading the Third Army. Think Brian Stelter, who is a potato, when he sees a buffet. We need to crush their dreams and make them howl in the run-up to 2024, when we will retake the presidency and put a sharpened stake through the shriveled heart of the leftist monster. We will have power soon. We must use it.

Democrats don’t see the pass rush. They simply don’t see it, even when their own publications post stories about the rising GOP wave within the Latino community—they refused to believe it. You saw that with Joe Biden, who outright said he doesn’t believe the polls showing that he’s a miserable failure of a president with trash approval ratings. When something hurts their feeling, Democrats either pretend it doesn’t exist or throw a tantrum. When it comes to Hispanic voters, they see invisible people. Only the ones who vote Democratic are worth noting—and their numbers are dwindling. The war for Hispanic voters has changed. In times past, the old line,

Why did Mitch McConnell break ranks with the Republican National Committee and insist, contrary to a growing mountain of evidence, that the Jan. 6 incident was “a violent insurrection for the purpose of trying to prevent a peaceful transfer of power after a legitimately certified election from one administration to the next”? In Major League Baseball, starting pitchers get plenty of press, all the glory, and the really big bucks. But true aficionados of the sport know that a team is only as good as its bullpen, a collection of lesser-known pitchers who are called upon when the starting pitcher runs out of gas. The U.S. Army unveiled a plan this week to tackle issues surrounding climate change, including the establishment of an electric vehicle fleet, as well as the reduction of the branch's greenhouse gas emissions. The plan, outlined by the Army in a document titled "Climate Strategy," calls for the service to cut its emissions by 50% by 2030 from 2005 levels and reach net-zero emissions by 2050. The strategy aims to establish an "all-electric light-duty non-tactical vehicle fleet by 2027" and an "all-electric non-tactical vehicle fleet by 2035." "There are 950 renewable energy projects supplying 480 megawatts of power to the Army today … scoped and planned through 2024," the Army strategy stated.

But now, there are folks raising questions about the serious head trauma he suffered. His death was attributed to head trauma in an autopsy report released on Thursday, and it was assessed to be an accident, i.e. maybe he fell and then went to sleep, and then died. Now, the description of the head trauma is much more extensive than initially suggested, according to the NY Times.
