Crimes Are Crimes, No Matter How Petty

Original Article

There's nothing petty about petty crime. Tolerate it, and society descends into disorder. You're standing in line at Starbucks and watch a freeloader go to the front, pick out a sandwich and walk out without paying. No one says a word. Or you pay your bills, then find out thieves have robbed the blue USPS box to abscond with your checking information and empty your account. That happened to me last week. The thieves fish mail out of the box or use stolen USPS keys sold on the internet. This crime is surging, but the police and banks shrug their shoulders and advise going directly to the post office or using electronic banking.

What these lefty DA's are doing is inviting vigilantism. People aren't going to stand for this much longer!!

Mayor Adams has his hands tied. To be successful he would have to go against his own party and party comes first. The people of NY have to understand that and stay in their apartments.

Article is right on. However, including carjacking and check forging as petty crimes is brow-furrowing.

If no one says a word and the giant corporation does not even allow their employees to stop the theft is it really even theft? Don't we deserve what we are getting? Why not say something? At least take the stolen sandwich and eat it yourself. No one does anything because we are all terrified.

If people were allowed to use deadly force to defend themselves and their property without fear of prosecution, all this stealing would grind to a stop.

Day by day, year by year; the people of this country are proving that, as a group, we will put up with anything. Those of us who attempt to stop a crime will be swiftly and severely prosecuted. This is what our self-anointed “betters” want.

Absolutely, #4. The Korean grocers protected their stores from looting during the Rodney King riots by standing on the roofs with shotguns pointed at the thugs in the streets. I’ve been saying it for years now - we need to return to the days when looters were shot on sight. Newsom’s escape from recall was about as honest as TaliBiden’s theft of the WH. But California will continue to let the voter fraud rule their state. I live in a red state where crime is still taken seriously so it probably would never happen, but it might be a bit amusing if a couple of thugs tried to jack my car - it has 3 pedals on the floor. Manuals are so rarely manufactured these days that I had to special order it and most people under the age of 40 no longer know how to drive one.

American society has been trained to turn law enforcement matters over to the professionals. Pizza guy gets robbed...give the crook the money. Store gets hit by shoplifters...let it go, just shrinkage. See something...say something so the cops can show up 15 minutes later, if ever. That, and so many petty crimes are exactly that, petty. Exceeding the speed limit by one mile per hour is no less a violation than five or ten miles per hour...anyone taking down license plates or pulling the violator over for a "citizen's arrest"?

Maybe the residents of NYC should flee that quickly devolving into violence mess and find housing and jobs elsewhere. Yeah, I understand strong feelings for NYC, but there comes a time when you have to ask, 'is it really worth dying for' to live in that city right now? Just don't bring your democrat rot with you is all we ask. I think they do indeed want to push something nationwide, so that they can finally indulge Obama and his desire for Martial Law. That way they can cancel any upcoming elections and stay in their office until further notice. Jan. 6 was only a dry run, same with the alleged epidemic. They are so close to getting what they want, I hope they are happy when the results aren't what they hoped for. Because we have the guns and we outnumber them, even though the media wants democrats to believe otherwise.

The "broken windows policy" was how Guliani stopped the crime wave in NY decades ago. That was a slogan for enforcing all the small laws, because they found that very frequently someone who was breaking a "small" law was illegally armed with a stolen gun, so could be put in prison for years, which stopped how many crimes? Likely dozens. And often these small lawbreakers had warrants out for them, so could be sent right to jail, again - stopping a lot of crimes before they happened. Enforce the laws, get the lawbreakers into prisons. Protect the honest, law abiding citizenry. It's not actually a difficult concept, except to a Soros "prosecutor".

Pay your bills online? Years ago, I received a call from my bank. Funds were withdrawn from my account by an identity thief who got my information from a bank employee. After that, I was a victim three more times. Once your information in on the internet, it is bought and sold to others and getting a new SS number takes an act of congress. I no longer bank onlilne.

President Joe Biden presents himself as an avuncular good ol’ boy from Scranton. But he’s not that at all. Aside from his creepy behavior with women and children (c’mon, who sniffs hair?), he’s also a cold-blooded politician who has ruthlessly made his way in politics by slashing and burning his opponents. Of course, he’s no different from his predecessors — you don’t get to be president unless you’re a real, well, let’s just say the nickname for Richard. The great thing about former President Donald Trump was clueing us into this: All these guys are calculating Machiavellis — Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Biden, every politician, really.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Virginia – Fairfax County Public Schools made a show of defying Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s order that schools respect parental rights on masking on Tuesday, with an assistant principal standing in front of the school to suspend students without masks, and a public relations staffer who said the media was not allowed to watch the conflict between state and local governments play out. At one classroom exterior door, a teacher in a dark mask and a full-face plastic shield resembled Darth Vader as she peered through the glass and, after seeing a masked child out front, opened the door a crack to let him in.

The failures of President Joe Biden's first year in office are obvious to all. Inflation is raging. COVID is raging. Crime is spiking in some big cities. The U.S.-Mexico border is a mess. The American withdrawal from Afghanistan was a mess. And with it all, the president and his party are obsessed, most of all, with passing a voting rules bill that would help ensure their future election by federalizing the voting system along lines favorable to Democrats. It's hard to avoid the conclusion that Democrats, and the president, are spending too much time focusing on issues that are not top voter concerns. That has created a huge opportunity for Republicans.

Joe Biden’s presidency is one year old—and it’s a total nightmare. The nation is still divided. Omicron is sweeping the nation. Inflation is through the roof. The grocery store has bare shelves. The supply chain crisis is ongoing. The border crisis is out of control. The Afghanistan withdrawal was a nightmare. We might see another embassy evacuation in Ukraine. The jobs reports are trash. It’s not going well. The only person who thinks all is well is…Joe Biden. That doesn’t account for much since he’s dementia-ridden. He’s old. He’s slow. He’s stupid. Three things the president of the United States cannot be in this world.

A Texas woman shopping at a Walmart was arrested last week for allegedly offering to buy another customer’s baby, local outlet KETK reported. The incident reportedly occurred at a Walmart in Crockett, Texas, which is north of Houston. An unnamed woman was in the self-checkout line with her two children – a baby and a 1-year-old – when 49-year-old Rebecca Lanette Taylor approached and commented on her baby son’s blonde hair and blue eyes. She then asked how much she could purchase him for, claiming that she had $250,000 in her car. The mother told her no amount of money would do. “Taylor continued to bring up the topic,

The Republican Party is on the cusp of a historic victory in November, provided they don’t give into what is far too often their instinct: self-destruction. No political party ever has been so adept at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Still, Republicans have all the advantages anyone could imagine – a wildly unpopular president of the other party serving as an anchor on every Democrat up for reelection, an agenda disconnected from the needs, wants, or desires of the general public, and an economy to make Jimmy Carter’s record look desirable. All they have to do is avoid all the usual infighting

Say what you will about Donald Trump’s foreign policies. He didn’t start wars. He didn’t vaporize a family of 10 in a suburb of Kabul, He did however vaporize actual terrorists. He didn’t abandon Americans in Afghanistan in a disastrous pullout that killed 13 American soldiers. Crimea was abandoned to the predations of Putin during Barack Obama’s watch. Taiwan wasn’t buzzed by Chinese fighters on a daily basis while Trump was in the White House. Daily Chinese provocations are Joe Biden’s enduring legacy. Washington—Republicans’ faith in science is falling as Democrats rely on it even more, with a trust gap in science and medicine widening substantially during the COVID-19 pandemic, new survey data shows. It’s the largest gap in nearly five decades of polling by the General Social Survey, a widely respected trend survey conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago that has been measuring confidence in institutions since 1972. That is unsurprising to more than a dozen scientists reached for comment by The Associated Press, but it concerns many of them. Science used to be something all Americans would get behind, Rice University historian Douglas Brinkley said.
