A teenage attempted carjacker was shot and critically injured in Philadelphia after he allegedly tried to steal the vehicle of a legally armed driver, according to a local affiliate report. Thursday marked the third time since the start of 2022 that an alleged carjacker was wounded by a legal gun owner, FOX 29 reported. According to local media, two attempted carjackers approached the 60-year-old driver around 8 p.m. local time on Cherokee Street in Mount Airy. The man had been in the process of exiting his car when the young suspects pointed a firearm at his head and ordered him to hand over the car keys

Great news. Pennsylvania has a pretty reasonable shall issue concealed carry law, unlike NYC.

How long before we hear the inevitable cry: "He was a good boy who was only trying to get a vehicle to get food for his hungry children?" Or, "He was trying to get a ride for his ailing mother..." City Of Brotherly Love, indeed.

When you de-fund the police, and make it impossible for them to enforce the law and stop the lawbreakers, then it is up to the Citizens to arm themselves and defend their lives, families and property. How anyone could expect anything different is a mystery to me.

If the police are no longer allowed to protect us, you can bet that the armed citizenry will take it upon themselves to do so. We pay taxes and expect law and order. If you abrogate that agreement, people have no choice but to take the law into their own hands to protect themselves. Car jacking should be a death penalty offense. It's no different than home invasion, except you are in your vehicle instead of the domicile. The armed citizen gives a random element of chance to the jackers that they might just roll craps and die when they target the wrong person.

I was talking with a friend the other day about canceled airline flights trying to get home to Montana from a vacation in Alaska and the seemingly unrelated topic of the high price of pickup trucks. The thought occurred to me that they are connected by way of another government-sponsored mass formation psychosis that's been building for the last five decades or so: global cooling, global warming, climate change, or whatever. There's a pretty simple reason why trucks will continue to get more popular and expensive: federal regulations attempting to reduce the production of carbon dioxide (CO2) is forcing the elimination of fossil fuels in normal light-duty vehicles

The leader of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps has warned that revenge for Lt. General Qassem Soleimani’s death will come for the United States from "within" the country itself. Soleimani, the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Forces, was killed in a Jan. 3 U.S. strike in Baghdad, days after Iranian-backed militia supporters stormed the U.S. embassy in Iraq. Brigadier General Esmail Ghaani, who replaced Soleimani, spoke during the second anniversary of Soleimani’s death, which Iran has labeled as "martyrdom." Ghaani underscored the republic’s dedication to avenging the general’s death, saying that the "ground for the hard revenge" will come from "within" the homes of Americans.

A Seattle-area prosecutor was slammed over a recent presentation to law enforcement officials in which he insisted police should "get used to" the district attorney's office allowing juvenile suspects – even those accused of bringing a gun to school – to avoid jail time. Ben Carr, senior deputy prosecuting attorney for King County, made a recent Zoom presentation on "considerations for juvenile suspects." "Even for serious offenses the primary focus will be on rehabilitation," Carr wrote, adding in parentheses, "get used to this concept." The prosecutor presented a scenario where "young Timmy brings a pistol to school, brandishes it during a confrontation and causes panic,"

The clean-up came after critics accused Biden of divisive rhetoric, and the president has since seen his initiative collapse as two hold-out Democratic senators said they could not support his plan to change Senate rules in order to pass the legislation.
