The Supreme Court and Congress Humiliate Themselves

Original Article

Two important cases came before the Supreme Court this week, and in Congress the Nancy Pelosi Reichstag Fire Revisited was being played out. In both cases these bodies deserved our disrespect for their violation of established norms and display of ignorance. (Snip) The question in these two cases is whether the mandates were properly issued under the Administrative Procedure Act and in accord with the agencies’ congressionally delegated powers, not the individual justices' views on the spread of COVID-19. It was hoped that these cases would rein in administrative agency overreaching and end a period of too lax judicial oversight of their activities.

FTA:"...And if I am wrong, you better tell me I’m wrong, because that it really did make a difference.” Is Breyer senile...or merely senescent? They weren't hired to be experts at EVERYTHING; they are only required to be experts at the Law. Stick to what you know! Hubris in a black robe. “Why is a human being not like a machine if it’s spewing a virus, blood-borne viruses?” Sotomayor asked Scott Keller. In her case, a manure spreader. But she's fat, female and brown, so she can't be wrong. Right Oprah? And blood-borne?

I think the Judges already lost a lot of credibility when they refused to even listen to the accusations of Fraud in the last Election. That is their Job, but they didn't want to get "involved". Moving on....It is not their Job to talk about the numbers of "Cases" or about Vaccines. It is their job to decide if the President has the right to use a Mandate to get every American vaccinated. That is what they MUST decide. Does the Constitution give the President that right, or doesn't it. Pretty simple! Look it up, Guys. Read what the Constitution SAYS, and make a ruling! They are not there to talk about how the vaccine may save lives or if the Vaccine could lower the "Cases". DO YOUR JOB!

As for the Supine Court, it is probably the dumbest, most politically influenced, and least protective of the constitution in the history of this country. Very sad and very dangerous for the future of our country. And the Congress is the biggest collection of clowns, criminals, and just plain kooks ever collected in one place. God help us.

Right from the start, she hits this out of the park. The 'facts' were not the issue. The issue was the law. Does the Constitution, and the laws as written regarding OSHA and Medicare, allow for the president to issue mandates like he has. And if he can tell us we have to get vaccinated, can he also tell us we have to stop smoking? Lose weight? Wake up at 6 A.M. and do calisthenics? THAT is the issue.

Outstanding legal minds and jurists are nominated to the court. In every case, those nominated express thinly-veiled opinions on various views to satisfy the majority in the Senate, while the minority screams. Short of something catastrophic, the nominee is confirmed. Conservatives did not fight for a "majority" on the court so "fair-minded moderates" could take over. Republicans have always pretended to be "conservatives" in a nice way. They used the Court and its liberal bent for years to raise funds and rile the boobs for years. We've had Republican (conservative) nominated Chief Justices for decades, since 1953, from Warren to Burger to Rehnquist and now Roberts. Yet, somehow, those conservative goals are unachieved.

The Movie Chinese Communists Hate the Most? 3 replies

Some films are chilling because their fiction penetrates the agonizing core of reality. The soon to be released Unsilenced, from award-winning Chinese-Canadian filmmaker Leon Lee, is a prime example. It brings into sharp focus the oppression unleashed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on Falun Gong, a movement that emphasizes ethical conduct, qigong exercises, and meditation. Fearing that Falun Gong would overtake it in popularity, the party has since 1999 been persecuting practitioners with arrest, torture, forced labor, menticide, and execution. But an underground resistance has established itself, led by ordinary Falun Gong practitioners pushed by extraordinary circumstances into heroic acts.

Recall that some little time ago, way back in December, I referenced Dem ueber strategist Ruy Teixeira’s concerns about The Democrats’ Hispanic Voter Problem (It's Not As Bad As You Think—It’s Worse). Today at American Thinker is an article that notes that Teixeira has added another demographic to his worry list: Asians. Please don’t ask me to define that—it’s Teixeira’s chosen term, and I certainly can’t compete with Teixeira when it comes to politically demographic designations. Even if I wanted to. Newly released video from the West Terrace tunnel of the U.S. Capitol provides more details on the collapse, beating, and death of Rosanne Boyland on Jan. 6, 2021. A three-hour video unsealed in late December in a Jan. 6 federal criminal case shows the 34-year-old President Donald Trump supporter entered the tunnel, was pushed back out, fell, and was struck by police before her lifeless body was dragged into the Capitol. Boyland’s sister and a New York attorney question the District of Columbia medical examiner’s finding that Boyland died of an overdose of a prescription medication she took for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.

President Biden can claim that COVID-19 remains a "pandemic of the unvaccinated" partly because "the CDC has played fast and loose with a lot of studies and data," Yale School of Public Health epidemiologist Harvey Risch says. "We have not been careful or objective with our data," he told the John Solomon Reports podcast Friday. "We don't even know, for example, the mortality from COVID," which the CDC pegs at more than 800,000. Risch noted the agency told physicians to put COVID on death certificates regardless of whether they think the infection played a role. Hospitalizations have also conflated admissions "with" and "from" COVID, he said.

Are you still wondering what Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were really doing? That’s really no surprise because the corporate media has inundated us with headlines about the “mystery” of their activities. We’ve been told countless times that Epstein’s ultimate secrets died with him, and that the public will “never know” what was “really going on.” You’ve been groomed, essentially, to believe that figuring out Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell is akin to unraveling the secrets of King Tut’s tomb or discovering the lost city of Atlantis. Question: Is our ruling class trying to make us to think they're a bunch of pederasts? Our media could not be less interested in Jeffrey Epstein's child molestation ring and, with the sole exception of the Palm Beach Police Department, every arm of government has bent over backward to bury the case. (Who says our media and government can't work together?) The jury's courageous delivery last week of five "guilty" verdicts against Epstein's pimp, Ghislaine Maxwell, was a sort of reverse jury nullification. The U.S. attorney's office -- the prosecution -- did everything it could to get an acquittal, but the jurors defied them.

Recently, Democrats have been despondent over Joe Biden’s sinking polls. His policies on the economy, energy, foreign policy, the border, and COVID-19 all have lost majority support. As a result, the Left now variously alleges that either in 2022, when they expect to lose the Congress, or in 2024, when they fear losing the presidency, Republicans will “destroy democracy” or stage a coup. A cynic might suggest that they praise democracy when they get elected—only to claim it is broken when they lose. Or they hope to avoid their defeat by trying to terrify the electorate. Or they mask their own revolutionary propensities by projecting them onto their opponents.

The vaccine, called Corbevax, was developed by the Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine. It has successfully passed human trials as safe and effective. The new treatment is based off protein-based technology that has been used in other vaccines for decades and it does not use MRNA. India has already authorized production of 100 million doses per month of the new vaccine. Meanwhile, Texas scientists say not-for-profit vaccines will help defeat COVID-19 quicker.

The Iranian regime has marked the anniversary with a flurry of antagonism throughout the region. That same day, two Israeli newspaper websites, the Jerusalem Post and Maariv, were hacked and made to display a picture of a missile being launched from Soleimani’s ring at Israel’s nuclear reactor.
