We're Back to This Silly Game Dems Always

The NFL playoffs are upon us but there’s another postseason that’s coming too on the Hill. Who’s the biggest moron in the Democratic Party. There are loads of them. It’s almost like World Series of Poker. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) is a perpetual finalist in this contest. At the same time, he’s from a D-plus 700 district which means he can do and say anything. He can be a total idiot on television and screw around with Chinese spies—allegedly. We’re back to this doomsday game again. Not with COVID—but the whole ‘if the GOP wins, it’s the end of the country’ nonsense that comes and goes with metronomic regularity

Remember, if it's not their particular liberal or progressive version they have for the country they view it as "the end of the country". When they say, it's an attack on "our values" they mean their particular liberal/progressive version. And, when they are looking at the prospects of losing the House, they view it as their world view is collapsing.

In 2012 Swalwell knocked off Pete Stark who spent 40 years in the House of Representatives. At the time Pete Stark was widely regarded as one of the farthest left leftwingers in the House. Swalwell has proven to be no prize as well.

I wish I could share the author's enthusiasm. But I know that the Democrats have a secret weapon -- the stupidity of the national Republican party (ie RINO, Republican "establishment") and their ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. As for Ms. Fang Fang, I'm gonna have to say that when it comes to Swalwell, it's obvious she took one for the team.

Every election the Democrats pull out the same old doom and gloom scare tactics. Republicans want to take way your Social Security. Republicans want to take away your health insuranc. Republicans want to take way your food so that grandma has to eat dog food. Republicans want to take away your right to vote. Republicans want to go back to old Jim Crow days and segregate everyone by race. Republicans want lynchings. Republicans want to kill gandma in the nursing home. Republicans want to take away your medications. Republicans want to........ After years and year of Democrats scaremongering about what Republicans "want to do", the Republicans have never ever proposed doing or ever done one thing on the list of the things that were sure to occur if Republicans won. Democrats on the other hand have usually not proposed to do anything but have set about dismantling the things which made this country great. They are also doing everything that they claimed that the Republicans would do and are doing it quickly while blaming the Republicans.

After Joe Biden was elected president, I had a conversation with a Wall Street banker friend who is deeply involved in Democratic politics. He could see I was worried. He knew my views about Trump: didn’t like his tone, his Twitter noise and the antics of Jan. 6. I thought his trade policies were often self-defeating, but generally I liked what he did with the economy. The policies actually worked: With tax cuts and deregulation, wages rose for the working class for the first time in years. Pre-pandemic, there was non-inflationary growth.

The First Amendment is the heart and soul of our constitutional rights as Americans—and it belongs to everyone, regardless of background or opinion. Unfortunately, a concept so basic as the right to speak your mind is now under siege. Big Tech monopolies like Twitter and Facebook have become arbiters of what they feel is permitted speech, taking your right to self-expression into their own hands—and promptly crushing it. Big Tech companies have worked hard over the past several years to enlarge their power and influence over how we live our lives, and we have finally reached a breaking point. They have carefully cultivated a monopoly on online speech, establishing

Hospitalizations of U.S. children under 5 with COVID-19 soared in recent weeks to their highest level since the pandemic began, according to government data released Friday on the only age group not yet eligible for the vaccine. The worrisome trend in children too young to be vaccinated underscores the need for older kids and adults to get their shots to help protect those around them, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Since mid-December, with the highly contagious omicron variant spreading furiously around the country, the hospitalization rate in these youngest kids has surged to more than 4 in 100,000 children, up from 2.5 per 100,000.

The liberal wing of the Supreme Court embarrassed itself Friday with a slew of false claims about COVID-19 during oral arguments over Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates. For example, Justice Stephen Breyer claimed hospitals are at capacity because of unvaccinated Americans with COVID. This is false. But perhaps the most ridiculous false claim from a Supreme Court justice came from Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who falsely claimed that 100,000 children are in “serious condition” from COVID. “We have hospitals that are almost at full capacity with people severely ill on ventilators. We have over 100,000 children, which we’ve never had before, in serious condition, and many on ventilators,” Sotomayor claimed.

"I do think in places that we are seeing this really steep incline, that we may well see also a precipitous decline, but we're also a much bigger country than South Africa," Walensky said in a briefing with reporters.
