Old: If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.
New: If you can’t do the time, Alvin Bragg will be there for you.
That much just became clear, as the newly minted Manhattan DA issued marching orders to his hundreds of assistants and support staff.
“Let’s do our very best to keep people out of jail, kids. And let’s really, really not sweat the small stuff.”
OK, Bragg didn’t actually say that — but it pretty faithfully paraphrases the guts of a staff memo Bragg issued Monday, the first business day of his four-year term.

The no prosecution thing is working out so well for San Francisco they are going to emulate it in New York! DA Bragg's plan to reduce crime is simple. Make the city so unliveable and undesirable that all tourists, businesses, and residents are forced to move out. Once that exodus occurs, there will be nobody left to steal from. Liberal logic!

I often wonder why God allows people like Soros to live and yet takes people like Rush home early.

If New Yorkers didn't think things could get worse, they are in for a surprise. Doesn't matter to me. Will never visit NYC again, and I can't imagine what's left of its attractions being worth getting murdered to see.

Yes, and the savior of NYC (Eric Adams) endorsed this puke.

What should a victim of crime do if a government agent (in this case a DA) actively works to harm you?

How is it that NY is allowing a prosecutor to usurp the state legislature and other governing bodies unilaterally deciding he determines what is and is not the law?
Once your every move is made illegal and you are subjected to selective law enforcement, the "rule of law" is is nothing but a façade concealing a dictatorship

This much is certain: if you elect african sub-creatures to run your government; you will have a government run by african sub-creatures (with all benefits thereof).

Anyone who now goes to NYC for sight seeing or a vacation, and gets robbed, suckered punched or worse will get no sympathy from me. The politicians have given you fair warning.

Definitely, you’ll be prosecuted to the max for using a gun to defend life, family, and property. None these these three things are of any value to Dems.

More people will be doing their version of the dystopian movie, "Escape from New York" in coming years....unfortunately, spreading the infection far and wide.

Maybe News outlets like Fox need to move their base of operations now, simply to protect their employees. With the DA and Mayor that NYC elected, I am not hopeful that they will change anything. In fact, I think it will get worse.

Remember the voters of New York City elected Manhattan District Attorney Bragg. So if you don’t live in the city, sit back and watch as Bragg’s “woke” and progressive incompetent leftist and socialist policies take hold and wreck the city with criminals running wild. If you do live in the city, understand that anytime you venture out in public that from now on you could be murdered, assaulted and robbed (mugged) or otherwise become a victim of violent crime without reason with the perpetrator suffering little or no criminal justice consequences. If you are a prospective tourist go somewhere else. Since the city is currently a leftist and socialist Democrat political bastion, the chances of Bragg being impeached are very slim. By making his “woke” criminal justice manifesto public, Bragg just neutralized and undermined whatever plans the new Mayor Adams has for the local police to more effectively enforce the law on the streets of the city.

Most of CNBC's and MSNBC's operations are in safe Fort Lee. Too bad we can't hack them and take them off the air.

Eric Adams will make the usual noises about reducing crime, then find he's and his police chief are hog tied on the prosecution and imprisoning part. He's got this DA and a city council that is more radical than before. As they say in Brooklyn, fuggedaboddit. NYC is back to the 1970s and will drag down the entire surrounding area. Of course, if NJ had a sane governor, they'd be luring out businesses right and left to their see through office spaces, but Murphy is nuts and envisions himself as president in 2024.

What did we elect you to do?
Maybe we can save your salary and just eliminate the job.
Message to tourists: Avoid Manhattan.
