We have this trial of this woman who allegedly supplied young girls for the sexual pleasure of pedophile men on an island owned by Jeffrey Epstein. During this whole trial I have not seen the name mentioned of one of that island's visitors who partook of these pleasures. This trial should not end without witness's being called that have to testify to why they went to the island and what they did while there. How can they prove this woman guilty without proving who participated in the sex acts going on.?

Beyond leaking lewd pictures to the press, and putting on a few accusers, the prosecution has not presented much of a case. Most of the case avoids accusations against anyone important that can fight back. All of the evidence has not been released, and has been selected by the prosecution, denying the defense their rights to exculpatory evidence. The defendant was held in jail for a year without bail, denying the defendant the right to a speedy trial, all when the defendant had been convicted of nothing. The prosecution should be prosecuted for their handling of this case. Nothing should have done, until they were ready to make that case, but they arrested the defendant, then did the investigation. I don't support that justice system. The prosecutors have had 20 years to make their case, accusers coming forward for that period of time, but the prosecutors chose not to because of the involvement of important people, and being bought off. The law licenses of the prosecutors should be lifted for misconduct. The government has made such a mess of this that I cannot see how justice is possible. It looks like another situation of misconduct and incompetence in the criminal justice system that a remedy should be sought in the civil courts.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has blamed the West for increasing tensions in Eastern Europe and suggested a “military-technical” response if his request for security guarantees is not met — while a media mouthpiece for the Kremlin warned that Russia will hold a gun to “America’s head” if Ukraine is allowed to join NATO. In a speech Tuesday to Russian defense ministry officials, Putin said Moscow needs “long-term, legally binding guarantees” from the West that the US and NATO will not deploy missile systems in Ukraine, rather than “verbal assurances.” Russia has massed as many as 175,000 troops as well as heavy military equipment

An Air Force spokesperson said all are active-duty troops in their first term of enlistment. More than 1,000 Air Force active-duty personnel have yet to be vaccinated, with more than 3,200 in the total Air and Space forces, according to Air Force Magazine.

There are some weeks for which it is painful to be a conservative. The week of Election Day 2020 was one such week, and so was the week of January 6th, earlier this year. And then… then there are weeks for which it is absolutely glorious to be a conservative. Such weeks include instances when our allies are vindicated, or perhaps our conservative ideals are validated. Or better still, every once in a while, we are treated to a week in which we see an individual who is wholly representative of everything wrong with our ideological opponents being given his/her just desserts.

At least 12 major US cities have already set historical murder records in 2021, even as three weeks remain in the year. Philadelphia, the nation’s sixth largest city, recorded 523 murders as of Dec. 7, surpassing its formal grim milestone of 500 murders, which was set in 1990, police data showed. The City of Brotherly Love had recorded significantly more murders in 2021 than New York City’s 443, despite having approximately six times fewer residents. “It’s terrible to every morning get up and have to go look at the numbers and then look at the news and see the stories.

Before the judge called it a day in anticipation of closing arguments, jurors also heard from the Lyft driver who ferried around the brothers Smollett allegedly hired to help him pull off the ruse.

If you aren’t white, you may not be able to go way outside. At least, that appears to be the belief of a North Carolina State University professor. KangJae “Jerry” Lee — of the school’s College of Natural Resources — recognizes the racism keeping you from enjoying the great outdoors. Cultural differences, he asserts, can’t explain why there aren’t more black people fishing, hunting, and hiking. Also an insufficient excuse: income disparity. The instructor laments America’s adventure/nature gap, but he’s bulls-eyed the culprit: systemic racism. Wichita’s KAKE recently jawed it up with Jerry on the lack of outdoor equity.
