NASCAR driver Brandon Brown has turned a corner and decided to completely and outwardly embrace the political slogan inadvertently inspired by his namesake, “Let’s go, Brandon” after previously trying to distance himself from the phrase. The 28-year-old racecar driver unveiled a new racecar that uses the popular acronym for the phrase, “LBG,” as part of a cryptocurrency promotion for LBGCoin which promotes itself on Twitter as a “meme coin inspiring patriotism.” Although a Republican, Brown previously cited that he had “zero desire” to get involved with politics as he tried to disassociate himself with the popular anti-Biden slogan and focus on his career

May as well capitalize on it, especially if big companies are too chicken to sponsor him.
I went to the website to check out the bitcoin promotion. Do it.

Nashville, LBG is just a typo, if you follow through to the actual site, it is LGB, as it should be "LGBcoin" to be exact. It had me confused as well.

Let Brandon Go?
Anyway, sure go cash in but the fact that he tried to avoid it at first is pure cowardice. The only reason he's "embracing" it now (he is not) is a bunch of his sponsors dumped him and his team needs the cash.

After attempting the Michael Jordan method he realized he did not have enough following to pull it off so went the direction that would get him following and support--wise choice in an environment of mostly conservative fans.

Turning the phrase into a point of confusion takes some of the power out of it, politically.
When this has both "LBG" and "LBGCoin", the LGB-LBG confusion seems like more than a "typo".

If he managed to get a contract for the full 2022 season? That is a GOOD deal.
A lot of the junior drivers without a lot of top fives or wins have to fight to get sponsored for every single race.

Brandon figured out what most celebrities know, publicity, good or bad, is always a good thing.
Remember that short time that the media followed every step, every restaurant and shopping trip of Brittany Spears, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan? We even knew which days they did not wear panties and those days were usually when they struggled to get up out of limousines. Those ladies were never so famous, before or since.

It's smart for Brandon Brown--especially this Brandon, of all people!--to make the best of this situation he didn't ask to be in. My advice is for him to embrace it and enjoy it. There's nothing about it that makes Brandon Brown look bad. He's a successful race car driver. Even if its meaning is double, Let's go Brandon! A good line of poetry can mean many things. Kurt Schlichter nailed it when he wrote: "It’s the cry of the working class, bold and joyous, utterly uncontrollable." Brandon Brown should be the beneficiary. Incontinent Joe the, ahem, other type of beneficiary, care of a fortuitous NBC accident at Talladega. Grab it and run. Better still, floor it!
In the cult classic Harold and Maude* (1971), Harold, who liked faking suicides to get back at his overbearing mother, was at the psychiatrist's office lying supine on the couch, being queried.
Psychiatrist: Tell me, Harold, how many of these, eh, *suicides* have you performed?
Harold: An accurate number would be difficult to gauge.
Psychiatrist: Well, just give me a rough estimate.
Harold: A rough estimate? I'd say
[savoring the thought] fifteen.
Psychiatrist: Fifteen?
Harold: That's a rough estimate.
Psychiatrist: Were they all done for your mother's benefit?
Harold: No. No, I would not say "benefit."
That last line can apply to several things as well. I like those double meaning things. No, no, "Brandon" is not for Joe's benefit.
*Harold and Maude is a sweet but twisted tale about an intergenerational love affair between a 20-year-old man (Bud Cort) and a nearly 80-year-old woman (Ruth Gordon). The Cat Stevens soundtrack is of its time, and perfectly appropriate in the film. It's a black comedy, to say the least. I loved it. You might, too.

That's "LGB" not "LBG." Don't these people have editors, or maybe even a 12 y/o spell-checker?
