Here's the Dem Governor Who Actually Took
Vacation While Media Obsessed Over DeSantis

Original Article

Democrats and liberal media have been losing their minds over a fake conspiracy about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis going “missing” during this past week. As we pointed out, that was nonsense. Not only wasn’t DeSantis missing, but he was working and in the office over the week , as well as taking his wife to cancer treatments. So, the left was attacking a family that was having to deal with a serious medical illness. How slimy can you possibly be? You would hope they would learn a lesson but they wouldn’t. They’ve become so tribal now, some just have no morals left.

Comments:

Aside from the obvious difference that Murphy is a Dem and DeSantis a Republican, there's another reason why they go after Ron: He's a serious threat to the establishment. Big time.

None of this is noteworthy but the media is not happy unless it is creating some kind of controversy to stir up the left. What difference could it possibly make for COVID spread if one governor is on vacation? The less time governors like Murphy spend out of office the better off the people are. Biden, especially Biden, does less harm while out on the beach. FJB

What about the Secretary of Trans who was MIA for weeks while the ports jammed up and the supply chain dwindled? No media concern there.

I am from NJ and I would like to tell you how proud I am of my state's governor.....I would LIKE to do that, how how can I, given that my state is run by a low IQ airhead whose idea of governing is to follow in the footsteps of the sexual predator Cuomo. I am sure that all of the nursing home dead will applaud is Cuomo-like decision to put COVID patients in with elderly sick people. I will now return to putting a bag over my head in embarrassment of being represented by such a fool/

For those currently in school who’ve been oppressed by the evils of conditions, rejoice: You may soon receive unconditional love. At least that’s the case if your classroom’s in Arlington, Virginia. Arlington Public Schools (APS) seems sick of differences in the world, so it’s decided to attain supreme sameness. Since pupils will meet objective standards to varying degrees, standards should be shrugged off. Unless I misunderstand, if we pretend everyone’s alike, then they magically are. The district’s proposed a four-point fundamental overhaul in the name of that greatest of goods, equity.

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky made a stunning comment on “Good Morning America” today. The newly updated CDC guidelines don’t require testing at the end of isolation because PCR tests can stay positive for up to 12 weeks, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky told “Good Morning America” Wednesday. “So we would have people in isolation for a very long time if we were relying on PCRs,” Walensky explained. Wait, what? So you mean that the tests aren’t accurate to tell if you still have the virus now? And that you’re just telling us that they might throw positives for up to 12 weeks, even after you might no longer be contagious?
So You're Celebrating The Kim Potter Verdict? 14 replies

The American justice system failed former Brooklyn Center police officer Kimberly Potter. From the initial release of body camera footage, it was clear she made a tragic and deadly mistake. End of story. Full stop. Nothing was criminal about what happened, unless you consider the fact that Daunte Wright was a thugging animal who was pulled over for legitimate reasons and later attempted to be detained lawfully because of outstanding warrants for violence against women. As the trial played out, my own beliefs surrounding the charges were only inured. Officers knew of his violent and extensive criminal background at the time of, and indeed were the reason for, his arrest.

As you may have heard, shootings and murders are up around the country. That’s especially true in Philadelphia which had already recorded more murders this year than either New York City or Los Angeles. Progressive DA Larry Krasner’s response to that spike in violence has been denial. “We don’t have a crisis of lawlessness, we don’t have a crisis of crime, we don’t have a crisis of violence,” Krasner said earlier this month. Today, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports Krasner’s office is in chaos after 261 attorneys have decided they’d had enough of working there and quit. That’s out of an office of about 340 lawyers.

Joe Biden is set to speak today on his “new” COVID measures. But while we don’t have a scheduled time on that yet because the White House obviously has to make sure he’s physically capable before they trot him out there, we do have the details of what he’s going to say. This morning, the administration released a document that included a lot of the same. Nothing listed here strikes me as making a difference, nor does the data support the need to battle Omicron in this way. The entire thing reads like a weird mix of stolen credit and humble-bragging.

If you aren’t white, you may not be able to go way outside. At least, that appears to be the belief of a North Carolina State University professor. KangJae “Jerry” Lee — of the school’s College of Natural Resources — recognizes the racism keeping you from enjoying the great outdoors. Cultural differences, he asserts, can’t explain why there aren’t more black people fishing, hunting, and hiking. Also an insufficient excuse: income disparity. The instructor laments America’s adventure/nature gap, but he’s bulls-eyed the culprit: systemic racism. Wichita’s KAKE recently jawed it up with Jerry on the lack of outdoor equity.

Here at the sports desk located somewhere below decks of the Good Pirate Ship RedState, we are presently wallowing in nostalgia for a bygone era. You know, the one where if a game had been scheduled, nothing short of an act of God would prevent it from taking place? Now, all it takes is some positive COVID tests, and no matter how asymptomatic those involved may be, everything gets shut down. A couple of days ago, we detailed how the rapidly ascending number of athletes testing positive for COVID despite most being vaccinated is once again proving that the jab is jive in terms of effectiveness.

I keep thinking the medical community cannot lose anymore credibility with me, and then yet another doctor posts a melancholic plea to the “unvaccinated” community on their social media page about how overworked they are and how they have to spend the holidays in the hospital instead of with their own family. Sometimes, the hackneyed virtue signaling might include a note about how vaccines save lives, but usually it stops just after explaining how overworked the person is. I am confused: Are you concerned about saving lives or just making sure your life isn’t too inconvenienced?

It’s long past time for that consideration, although Henry Olsen likely doesn’t disagree. He cites “progressives’ irresistible force” clashing against Joe Manchin’s immovable fiscal realism as an end stage, but that has been the clash all along. Neither side in this game of chicken appears ready to swerve, and therefore the inevitable crash will come. As could have been predicted at about the time that progressives called Manchin “racist,” but I digress slightly: It’s theoretically easy to meet Manchin’s bottom line by stripping most of the items out of the bill and focusing on one or two large programs.
