Bette Midler is a vile, bigoted ignoramus

Original Article

Posted By: DW626, 12/22/2021 5:04:39 AM

A couple of days back actress and singer Bette Midler tweeted the following What #JoeManchin, who represents a population smaller than Brooklyn, has done to the rest of America, who wants to move forward, not backward, like his state, is horrible. He sold us out. He wants us all to be just like his state, West Virginia. Poor, illiterate, and strung out. A few hours later after receiving severe backlash for her hateful tweet, Midler tweeted the following apology

Comments:

Too bad "Drowning Mona" was, or is, just a movie. She’d be sparing herself the obvious misery she lives with now.

The article IMHO was well reasoned and presented; however, rather than just "vile, bigoted and ignoramus", I have three other descriptors that I would use in a less dignified forum!

I think at least on a very basic level she is at least touching on a reality the Squad and other Democrats either don't understand or choose to ignore: Manchin is doing this because the regular people of West Virginia do not want this massive spending bill. That is why she took a cheap shot at WV voters.

I always thought Midler & Hillary had a great deal in common: be rude, obnoxious, overbearing and dare anyone to disagree. When they do, attack. Midler's career has always been a mystery. She's a shapeless, hatchet-faced harpy.

I have lived in West Virginia most of my life and all of the people I know there have attained a formal education level equal to, or greater than Bette Midler. They also look much better than she does as she hasn't aged well--and was kind of ugly to start with. Hollywood elites don't impress hard working people who love America and hate communism. Bette needs a lump of West Virginia coal in her stocking this Christmas.

Midler is a hostile, bigoted, mean and hateful individual. What is with celebrities who have become extremely wealthy in the entertainment industry and now seem to feel secure enough to insult, ridicule and debase a segment of the population with no consequence. They alienate half of their audience, are no longer entertaining and do not seem to care. Perhaps they have accumulated enough money that it does not matter to them. I will not buy movies and music when I know how vehemently these haters despise people like me only because we have a different opinion. Some of them are ignorant and uneducated with not even a high school diploma. They were lucky to appeal to people for entertainment, as they have no marketable skills and could never command the high salaries working at the only jobs they could get. Why would I care about their rants or take their advice as to who I should support or vote for?

FTA: "The individual may be sitting at home all alone, feeling lonely, angry, upset, tired, or bored." Let's change that to add "drunk, stoned, and strung-out". I am of the opinion that all members of the entertainment industry spend most of their time drunk, stoned or strung-out, since at least the invention of drinkable alcohol.

Make no mistake, deep in the heart of every liberal there lives the hatred displayed by Bette Midler for people who disagree with their world view. That hatred knows no racial or political boundaries, disagree and you're the enemy to be destroyed or neutralized. Blacks who have come over to the republican party know this first hand.

The fact that Nikole Hannah-Jones has been honored with a MacArthur Foundation “genius grant,” a Pulitzer Prize, and has had the New York Times backing her error-riddled and fundamentally mistaken 1619 Project as a curriculum throughout the United States tells us that we live in an intellectually degenerate moment in history. That she has been granted an endowed chair (despite no doctorate) and is heading a new center with $20 million in funding at Howard University bespeaks a collapse of standards. Yesterday, when featured on Meet the Press, she demonstrated genuine intellectual mediocrity. She packs a boatload of BS in this 42 second excerpt:

We know from airport executives’ testimony that the air in airplanes is so gosh darn clean that it’s virtually impossible to catch COVID while flying. But still, when the Democrat backlash began, they agreed that everyone should wear a mask while flying. Now, Anthony Fauci, the man controlling America, has conceded that mandatory vaccines won’t do a thing to make air travel safer—but he still wants a mandate to put even more pressure on people to get those jabs. There’s lots of authority that it’s quite unlikely that you’ll catch COVID in a well-filtered, modern airplane: (snip) Nevertheless, we must still wear masks on those airplanes because...narrative.

It’s hard to believe that, less than 30 years ago, South Africa was a nation riven by apartheid and segregation. To look back on that time period and realize that it wasn’t that long ago is astonishing. Brave men and women stood up and spoke out against the horrendous policy, and eventually, South Africa shook off the bond of apartheid. Desmond Tutu was one of those voices who spoke of the importance of freedom for black South Africans, and now he is with his Heavenly Father. Tutu passed away on Sunday at the age of 90.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is furious with Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.). Over the weekend, Manchin told “Fox News Sunday” that he would not be supporting the Build Back Better (BBB) Act due to concerns about the actual costs of the programs in an inflationary environment. “What we need to do is get our financial house in order, but be able to pay for what we do and do what we pay for,” he said. Manchin also noted he was unable to justify a vote in favor of the “mammoth” piece of legislation to his constituents, despite being in favor of selected elements of it.”

Democrats claim that democracy is under attack in America and Democrats must act decisively to protect it. They’ve been trying to end the filibuster, nationalize voting, and pack the Supreme Court. The most ominous “fix,” which hinges on the myth of a “January 6 Insurrection,” sees retired generals argue that the military must purge the ranks of Trump supporters and prepare for a military coup to block a future contested election. This is unconstitutional, illegal, and spells the end of American democracy. The fact that the FBI has lost its way has been on public display for at least five years now. Truth be told, it probably strayed off course way before that. But during the Trump Presidency, it became too obvious to ignore. It has been involved in everything from the creation of an “insurance policy” against the peaceful transition of power, to the targeting of parents as domestic terrorists for the sin of disagreeing with school boards. How did our “premier law enforcement agency” stray so far from its motto of fidelity, bravery, and integrity? Simply put, the FBI’s current state is the result of horrible leadership.

Does responsibility for the deaths of over 1 million Americans make Tony Fauci a mass murderer? It’s actually worse than that. Consider the basic evidence: An estimated 800,000 American deaths have been attributed to COVID. An estimated 388,000 Americans have been killed by “safe and effective” COVID vaccines. This doesn’t include those merely injured with strokes or heart problems. (I personally have an acquaintance who suffered a stroke after getting the jab.) It includes many kinds of deaths.

New Normal - “Normal” is something that has long been the norm and is accepted as the norm. The key point is that the “old” normal no longer applies.

The House of Representatives has passed a bill that seeks to eradicate blasphemy against Islam. The bill, H.R. 5665, is truly remarkable as it amounts to Congress making a law respecting the establishment of Islam and reducing the United States government into a tool of the world’s ayatollahs. The actual text of the bill not only seeks to eradicate blasphemy against Islam around the world – and solely against Islam at that – but even requires the federal government to reorganize some portions of the State Department along the lines of an Islamic religious institution which will be responsible for interpreting the Quran.

Congress, never high in the public’s estimation to begin with, fell from 26 percent to a mere 12 percent.
