Better Only Counts if the GOP Sticks Together
and That Isn't Likely

West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin took to Fox News yesterday to let the White House know he was a big no on “Build Back Better.” Build Back Better is the profligate spending bill designed by Biden’s handlers to both bankrupt America and impose socialism, not surprisingly this bill is also the centerpiece of Biden’s domestic agenda. The left was outraged and the claims that Biden and Schumer had been snookered by Manchin were widespread and, as it seems, scripted. The use of the word “played” is everywhere. It is what detectives call “a clue.” Someone high in the Democrat party communications apparatus

Lisa "Bridge To Nowhere" Murkowski (RINO-AK) is a loose cannon in which her political career should come to an end in November, 2020.

One wonders if Manchin knows there are traitors in the GOP party and that's why he can vote against this bill. It's a win win for him. He can go home and tell the citizens of West Virginia that HE didn't vote for the bill it was those rascally republicans who got it passed. You watch, once Pelosi knows just how many turncoat republicans will vote for this bill she will give other 'rat politicians, who might be in trouble in their state for re-election to say they'll vote no also.

The real danger, given this scenario, I think, is Murkowski knows she's out as a Senator from Alaska. With nothing to lose and her innate vindictive nature, she might, America be damned, vote with the Biden America-hating bloc just for spite.

It’s a shame we have such traitors in the party who would even consider voting for this abomination. Yet, here they are, Murkowski, Collins, Romney, and Capito. Not only would they save Biden’s bacon but they would give democrats the ability to tack that all important “bi-partisan” adjective to this fundamentally transforming debacle. The ease these fools betray the American people is astonishing. Anyone with half a brain can see the total destruction this horrific bill will have on this country for decades to come. This could very well be the beginning of the end for the Republic.
Let’s see how McConnell handles this. I don’t have a lot of faith in him because I am not sure he wants to stop Biden’s agenda. One thing I am very sure of is that many Republicans in both the House and Senate don’t care what their constituents want as long as they get whatever it is that they personally want and need. A self-serving attitude drives their decision making which is why we feel the sting of betrayal all too many times. God help us if these fools betray their country for spite or their insatiable love of money especially knowing the dire consequences for all of us. Frankly, I have no confidence whatsoever in any one of them.

I agree with # 6. Both parties are corrupt. It's obvious many Republicans are controlled/blackmailed. After all, why did Sen Toomey (R-PA) come out the DAY AFTER the presidential election and state there was no sign of voter fraud in PA? This after a 700,000 vote DJT lead disappeared overnight. And the deep -state shill, Dr. Oz, who lives in NJ, is now running for Toomey's PA seat.
Thee are dark forces at work manipulating behind the scenes. Manchin will do what he's told, and it may be to vote against the bill, so he can appear to be a man of principle. Then, the deep state can simply dial up any one of the the numerous compromised RINOs.

I think Manchin has his eye on a Presidential Run. He will appeal to the Democrats who aren't in the AOC and The Squad's Club. There are a lot more Moderates than Progressives, so Manchin can kick Joe and Kamala to the Curb. As for the Republicans stepping into Joe's place, it would be political suicide, but I wouldn't put it past someone to be that Dumb. However, I also wouldn't be surprised to see Kyrsten Sinema to vote No! So then there is that.....

Democrats are desperate to get this crap passed. The bill will be rewritten so that Manchin, or Murkowski or Collins will vote for it. If you think inflation is bad now, just wait until these jackasses are done.

This Manchin thing is a charade. It's political theatre and of course, total BS. Biden's handlers, Schumer and McConnell already have cut their deal. Shave a little off here and there in the bill to make it look presentable and McConnell will deliver the package. This is the way it's done with McConnell. The guy is a bigger traitor to the country than those odious so-called Squad creatures. HE MUST GO if we take a majority in the Senate.

A good chance the bill will be modified in a "bipartisan" way and a number of Republicans will vote for it. The key socialist issues will be kept in place to satisfy Bernie and his ilk. Schumer will decide which Democrats will be allowed to vote against it and McConnell will tell enough Republicans to vote for it to insure passage.
Roy Blunt, Richard Burr, Pat Toomey, Richard Shelby and Rob Portman are retiring in 2022 and will be glad to vote for the bill so they will be rewarded handsomely in retirement. There are a few more Republicans like Ben Sasse he can have vote yes This would allow McConnell to let Murkowski and Capito off the hook as he wants them to remain in the Senate.
Schumer will huff and puff, but will not pressure Manchin. He probably will let Sinema vote no. He needs her to get reelected There may be one or two others like Tester of Montana he wants to let off the hook so they will get reelected.
It's a game to protect the insiders.

The Republicans will stick together on this one. The only reason the RINOs bended to the Infrastructure Bill was to give Manchin and Sinema cover for BBB, and it was a pretty slick move looking back. And no matter what, the GOP needs to retake the Senate next November.

Manchin is refusing to vote for the BBB scam for selfish reasons also. If he kills the economy of West Virginia to help Joe, his career as a senator there is over but Joe could give him a glamorous position in Washington and make everybody happy. Dogs that have bitten you in the past are more likely to take another chunk out of your leg. Same goes for our many RINOs. Everybody hated McCain but that didn't bother him one bit.
As for having faith in the future of our country, always ask yourself - What Would Rush Do? Patriots still hold the nuclear option.

Not buying this tripe from Red State. They don't have any Republican support for this, which is exactly why they had to go with the reconciliation strategy. Yes - there are plenty of feckless cowards in the Republican Party, but voting for this garbage is political death, and they all know it. McConnell told them from day one that there would be no support from them on this one, and that they had to run it through without any help from his caucus. The massive inflationary surge this would cause is real, and would be easy to see. Any Republican caught voting for this socialist wet dream would be ostracized.
You can bet if they had any Republican votes, Chucky would have called it for a floor vote before Christmas. They don't.

Given the disdain heaped on BBB and Biden's poor performance in polls...the quislings will stand pat until the elections. Murkowski is up for re-election in '22. Capito isn't going to sell out her state's senior senator, either.

The list of those with "R" behind their name - including Mitch McConnell - who will "collude" with Schumer and the Dems is well-known. Their history of "folding" at critical moments is well-documented. Our lack of confidence in them is well-founded.
To this day I still believe that GOP leadership and dependence on globalist and Wall Street donors is part of the problem, not the solution.
For the sake of the Republic and our children: PLEASE prove me wrong!! You will be judged by your actions, not your words.

I dunno. 24 donks are heading for the exits and have announced it already. Who knows what another 6 months will bring? I think a liberal trying to pressure or bribe a Republican could almost be met with laughter at this point.
Meanwhile, Hispanics are switching parties, inflation and gas are still up, and... sadly, someone is going to start a war out there... like we didn't have under Trump.

It's unbelievable that the guy who once ran against Obama can't even be counted on as a lock to stand against this giant spending bill. If McCain were still alive and in office, that would be true of him as well. And those two wishy-washy Senators were our last two GOP frontrunners for POTUS after Bush. THAT is how you get Trump, GOP.
