South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) has advanced a bill in the state legislature that would codify her executive orders limiting transgender athletes to competing only in categories that correspond to their birth gender.
Noem filed the bill on Tuesday to limit K-12 girl’s school sports and state-funded colleges to allowing only natural-born girls to compete in girl’s categories, according to the Argus Leader.
The governor issued her two executive orders in March after the legislature rejected her revisions of House Bill 1217.

Some certifiably insane pervert Obama/Biden judge will shoot it down, but at least we know that there are still common sense people in this country.

Didn’t she veto a bill that did this early in the year?

Stop! Stop ! Stop already!
It isn't "gender" - - it's "sex"! Gender is a grammatical term - - sex is the biological word.
Stop letting communists determine the language. If you use "gender" - - you're nothing more than a communist dupe - - a useful idiot who is helping to advance the communist cause.
No more "gender" - - EVER!

I am no sure about her. She seems late to the table on this issue and yes, I do believe she previously vetoed a bill doing this earlier in the year.

This is a no-brainer for ANY conservative running for higher office. Win or lose in the courts, Kristi is still a winner.

I trust Kristi's decision. I suspect there may have been something in the previous bill that wasn't quite right.

It’s amazing that we have to make common sense a law.

The fact that you must introduce a bill to enforce physical absolutes is an example of just how far the madness has spread. They should require trans-gender athletes to compete in cookie-baking contests to prove just how strongly they feel they are the other gender.
The Obamas started this madness. Smidgen is a gender-anomaly, a pure girl, and he couldn't compete in athletics of either gender so he felt he could mess up the whole system for others. He couldn't even ride a bicycle or open an umbrella. Michael, on the other hand, could throw the shot-put in the Olympics but she had a bulge in her pantsuit that most men would envy..

It’s a good start. I would suggest that, in the case of that “Lia” swimmer in Pennsylvania and all others like “her”, “she” only be allowed to compete when “she” has had “her” equipment removed. Bet that “she” would be back on the men’s team in a nano-second.

My understanding, she would not sign a similar bill about one year ago. What gives Kristi, did you get too much heat from your conservative base.

When I grew up in the late forties and early fifties a dude who out do the girls on jump rope and hopscotch was called a 'sissy'.

There don't seem to be any cases of women who claim to be men competing in men's sports leagues, then winning all the trophies and setting new records.

These men who are pretending to be a women, and compete against the opposite sex, do, without a doubt, prove one detail. Men are stronger then women. Every time one of these trans-sex men compete, they win. It's a natural characteristic of the nature of a man. Wear all the dresses they want to, or the pink shade of lipstick. NOTHING will ever change the biological make-up of a man into a women.

Every state has an organization that sets the rules for scholastic competition. In this case there is the North Dakota High School Activities Association. Most sports have a national federation that also sets down rules. This is their baliwick, not any government concern. This is just more cheap politics.

Hmmm. I thought that she was against this? This issue was her downfall, as I remember it. Changed her mind after a lot of kickback?

Also says students who suffer harm by violations of the law can sue. Sounds like any girl that comes in 2nd to a man will have a good case.

#10 - She vetoed the previous bill because there was no meat in it. That was the precursor to getting this bill introduced and passed, all while suffering the slings and arrows of impatient and shortsighted conservatives. Let's hope that the Ldotters in that crowd will now back off and support her as she continues the good work she's doing both within her state and nationwide.

We need a U.S. Constitutional Amendment to that effect AND that "Marriage" is defined as being between MALE and FEMALE, period.

I somewhat disagree. I don't think trans athletes should be able to compete in any competition except perhaps an exclusive trans athlete competition probably only presented on the Ru Paul channel. The hormones of all kinds can give them an unfair advantage over normal athletes who are regularly banned for taking any kind of hormones.
