A former Las Vegas police officer is facing federal charges as surveillance video shows him knocking out a postal worker. Retired Las Vegas Police officer Robert Gutierrez told police he punched a postal worker and officers told Gutierrez they didn’t think him punching a federal employee would be an issue.
The surveillance video showed Gutierrez walk up to the mail carrier while he was standing near a U.S. Postal Service vehicle parked along a curb in the 500 block of Sun Drive. When the carrier stepped onto the sidewalk, Gutierrez appeared to punch the man in the face, according to the complaint.
Fed Charges should be brought against the postal worker for Not delivering the proper mail to him

The postal worker is lucky that I do not live near him or the post office he works for. After all, he is still able to walk and talk! I do thank the retired Police officer!

Of course we don't have all the information. Based on the video, it doesn't appear the Postal Worker is threatening at least physically. I don't condone violence especially against a Biden supporter. All that effort knowing one can't beat a lick of sense into a Biden supporter.

Aversion therapy is a start with liberals. They keep doing what they do because they think we can't punish them.

Let everyone on his route know about this and he'll have a hot time, not in a good way. I hope that the retired officer gets off.

The Postal worker was wrong. The citizen was right. He should have kicked his teeth out when he went down. One was wrong (postal worker) and one was right (citizen). There... easy enough to understand?

The cabal of bath house barry and pedo biden have weaponized every bit of OUR govenment. Knocking this union thug postal creep out is a very good start to taking OUR government back. Too bad the hero retired LEO and his family will have to be the scape goat. I'm old enough to remember non union government. The Rockwell paintings are a window to a long lost America.

Pretty soon (and probably even now) any one of us who "come out" as a supporter of President Trump will somehow find that mail we were expecting will somehow disappear.

Begs the question- how many million Mail-In votes for Trump were dumped in the garbage both coming and going from people with Trump signs and flags in their yards by leftist/activist Postal Workers in the 2020 'Election'?

This is all backwards. Refusing to deliver mail to somebody because you disagree with their personal opinions should get this postal worker fired, and prosecuted for messing with the mail like he has been doing. There are rules against that stuff, let's see if they will be followed.

In this brief moment, this ex-cop let his temper overcome his good sense. He'll have years to regret his foolish, aggressive behavior. He likely will sacrifice thousands of dollars on attorneys fees, court costs, and criminal fines. Should the mail carrier sue him civilly for willful battery, these amounts will expand exponentially. The courts will use this video to prove that, however insulting or even loathsome the mail carrier's speech and behavior toward Gutierrez, it was Gutierrez who initiated physical violence.
Yes, Gutierrez was entitled to his outrage, and many applaud and cheer on his cause. But Gutierrez will alone in paying for his reaction.
Another example: I insist that George Floyd was a perpetual criminal who died from having ingested multiple illegal substances in the hours prior to being placed into police custody, where he reacted in a paranoid, turbulent struggle. Officer Derek Chauvin restrained Floyd in a "by the book" fashion which appeared on video as worse than it actually was. Yet Chauvin was wrongfully convicted for Floyd's "murder." Floyd's family are now all millionaires, courtesy of the City of Minneapolis. Chauvin will rot in prison; he risks being murdered in prison. By mutual agreement, Chauvin's wife divorced him, took their money and ran. Even if he is eventually released, he will live out the balance of his life in solitary solitude, shunned and at risk of being assaulted or murdered.

I don't know how anyone else's mail is, but where I am we never know when we will get it anyway.
The USPS is a lost cause.

I'm not so sure. One day I got home and my front window was broken out and the dog out. A neighbor gave me a note from the UPS guy saying I could get my package at a store down the street. Apparently the dog tried to eat him and he feared for his safety. Sounded reasonable to me. If the retired cop was acting like a blowhard and the mailman thought he might get beat up, why should he approach the house?
I replaced the front windows with plexi.

The cop is now arrested on a federal assault charge... Will the postal worker get fired for breaking policy over personal beliefs? Likely not. All I can say is these people have a lot worse coming in the future. They can't hide behind this internet cover forever
