North Koreans have been banned from laughing or drinking for 11 days to mark the tenth anniversary of former leader Kim Jong Il's death.Government authorities have ordered the public to not show any signs of happiness while North Korea commemorates his death. Kim Jong Il ruled North Korea from 1994 until his death in 2011, and was then succeeded by his third and youngest son, current leader Kim Jong Un.Now, ten years after his death, North Koreans are being forced to observe the 11-day period of mourning where they are not allowed to laugh or drink alcohol.

Note to Dr. Fauci: This North Korean idea might help reduce the spread of the Omicron variant since it is spread by laughing and drinking. You could make it your own by additionally making it unlawful for people to kiss their children and grandchildren during the Festive Season. Great idea!

It used to be hard to wonder why the population doesn't do an East Germany uprising on the goons that abuse them decade after decade, but North Korea is easier to understand when I watch what has happened here over the last 20 years. Never thought it could happen here, but considering the daily outrages, anything is possible. I've failed my children, along with millions of others who let the scum win at almost every level.

I am not sure who told Chevrolet that what we really needed this Christmas was to ugly cry over an ad they produced for the holidays, but whoever it was needs to go sit in the corner and think about what they’ve done. You may have seen the shortened version of this ad, titled “Holiday Ride,” on TV.
