The Biden administration is withdrawing from settlement talks to compensate migrant families separated under former President Donald Trump, the American Civil Liberties Union revealed on Thursday. The civil rights group accused President Joe Biden of 'playing politics' for pulling out of the negotiations. 'After our government deliberately abused young children by separating them from their families, today they've walked away from negotiations to help those who were traumatized heal,' the ACLU stated on its Twitter account.

They want compensation? Give them their kids and a one way plane ticket back to where they came from. Maybe $50.00 to buy some snacks along the way. They came here illegally. They got caught and laws/policies were followed. We owe them nothing.

Previous poster said, "It's a ruse. After the dust settles, negotiations will quietly resume." I agree. Each case will be quietly settled, one at a time. The Biden DOJ will spend millions on its lawyers to handle these cases. And the ACLU will pocket 25% to 35% of the settlement amounts. The ACLU saw the leftist gravy train Biden and Pelosi had set up, and they didn't want to miss it. BTW, the separation of children from adults was mandated by policy. Without it, little kids would be sleeping with their criminal transporters, leading to widespread sexual abuse and assault. er, MORE widespread.

Dear lefties: Joe Biden has been shouting from the safety of the porch for decades. Tough talk, no action except, perhaps, to retreat. He's a coward's coward. Now...those of us opposed to Joe Biden as a politician and a person expect and want nothing from him, which at least makes us accurate observers. His entire presidency to date has followed the pattern above - literally one issue per week. They stoke controversy, they gauge the blowback (and it's been all blowback) and they pretend it never happened because they are children with very large egos. The ACLU's interest here is the money. Only a sucker would believe that illegals would receive nearly half a million for hopping the border but the ACLU would love to 'represent' them to collect a large chunk of that figure. And they ARE illegal. Hopping the border is a crime and should obviously never be rewarded. 'Separated families,' to the extent it happened, was the result of criminal activity and child neglect and abuse on the part of the very people the ACLU claims were traumatized. In sum: trusting Biden is a fool's errand.

If the proposed Democrat so-called $450,000.00 “settlements” to illegal aliens who broke the immigration laws go down the tubes because that under the covers Biden Administration “corrupt” program was “outed” to the media, the reason “upset” ACLU response is that they and a lot of leftist and socialist lawyers will not end up with half or more of the “settlement” amounts that could have amounted to a billion dollars in taxpayers money ending up in their pockets as “legal” fees.

Biden's brilliant strategy: He promises that his tax increases will only affect people earning more than $400,000. Then he gives $400,000 to millions of illegal aliens, thereby creating millions of taxpayers making $400,000 to hit with his tax increase!

As others have said this is a ruse. What we are seeing is a public play with the biden regime and the ACLU playing their parts for the audience. These lowlife lawyers and yes lowlife illegals (I'm sick to death of hearing how they just want a better life) will be getting enormous sums of taxpayer dollars, quietly, out of public view. Every government budget has a budget category that is really a slush fund with little oversight. In the NYC budget it's called Judgements and Claims. And you can bet the federal budget has numerous slush funds baked into its enormous budget. Instead of tax dollars going to take care of our wounded warriors and their families, and the families of our beloved who gave all, private organizations like Frank Siller's Tunnel to Towers and others are left to raise money, privately. And we citizens whose taxpayer dollars are already going to fund illegals and their handlers, generously and lovingly give to these wonderful organizations to take care of our heroes. What a generous and spectacular country is the United States of America.

We didn't cross the line!" and we're all supposed to think the book on this sordid charade is now closed. Not by a long shot. The payments will just be made quietly now behind the scenes ... on an "individual basis" .... instead of a class-action suit. Look at the photos in the article. Did you ever see a better dressed, clean, fatter, healthier looking group of "refugees" in you life? And all talking with cell photos so obviously on WiFi seeing they are indoors.
