It ‘Could Be the End of Our Democracy’

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the 2016 Democratic Party nominee for president, said Sunday on NBC’s “Today” that if former President Donald Trump won the presidency in 2024, it “could be the end” of U.S. democracy.Clinton said, “If I were a betting person right now, I’d say Trump is going to run again. He seems to be setting himself up to do that, and if he’s not held accountable, then he gets to do it again. I think that could be the end of our democracy. Not to be too pointed about it, but I want people to understand that this is a make-or-break point. If he or someone

Someone should clue Hillary in that Trump has already been elected President and he did nothing to end US democracy. With her Russia hoax political “dirty trick” Hillary has been trying to sabotage Trump, his administration, and US democracy from the get-go since she was the leftist Democrat candidate for President in 2016. She should be in jail.

I was born during FDR's second term as President, and have been aware of every presidential campaign, in detail, since Truman/Dewey of 1948./ No one has ever accused another candidate of ending democracy, or our democratic republic, until the fetid felon, Lady Lucifer came along. One of the most remarkable characteristics about DJT was his willingness to follow intrusive court decisions when he could have ignored them. He upheld the standards of the presidency so much better than the Arkansas grifter, and the Kenyan Klown., And now we have a crime family in and around the presidency, monetizing the office in the most blatant ways.

As others have pointed out, we do not have a democracy in this country. It is the last thing the Founders wanted. She knows this but it suits her purposes to tell this lie. She knows words matter and she and her cohorts know most people don’t know how different the meaning of democracy and a Constitutional Republic are. It’s a small thing but they want to be able to massage the language to their advantage. Democracy is rule by the majority with the minority having no voice and this is what the Founders wanted to avoid at all costs because they knew the cities would rule and leave the wants and needs of the rural communities and less populated areas with no means to make their voices heard. God help us if our cities run the show because it would be a disaster. Mob rule, i.e., democracy is a construct of the democrat party because it is easily manipulated through voter fraud. The irregularities in only five counties in the 2020 election, changed the course of the country.

When she, or any other liberal/progressive, mentions "our democracy", they mean their particular version of it that they've been running for the last 50+ years. Not the general idea of democracy. Same with "our values" when spoken by a democrat politician or activist, they are only speaking of their particular version of values not the general values most people live with, and by. They would likely see a much less divisive and inclusive place, a much more prosperous place too. Remember, democrats need chaos for them to take advantage of, and change things to what they want and desire.

I struggle to understand what she (and other Democrats) mean when they talk about a "threat to our democracy." Who among the Republicans (including Trump) is trying to end the right to vote? If she want some real examples of threats to democracy, how about the mask mandates, vax mandates and lockdown orders by Democrat governors without the authorization of our democratically elected legislators? Or even worse, the jettisoning of election laws in 2020 by election "officials." That not only ignored the will of the voters, it operated to dilute legal votes in "our democracy."

Seven times before law enforcement found cocaine smuggled into the White House, President Joe Biden promised to restore “integrity” and “decency” to the presidency. The Secret Service has yet to reveal its findings of who smuggled the white powdery drug into one of the most secure buildings in the world. And the White House refuses to provide much insight into the growing scandal. The White House press team refuses to say whether or not the cocaine belonged to Joe or Hunter Biden, citing campaign law.

Wolf is the subject of a letter Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, sent to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware, David Weiss, on Sunday. Wolf worked directly beneath Weiss on the Department of Justice and IRS probe into Biden’s overseas business dealings and tax affairs. In addition to other allegations about Wolf’s role in the probe, Grassley’s letter revealed an October 2020 briefing that Wolf allegedly received from the Department of Justice and FBI.

DOJ briefed Hunter Biden team on Joe Biden

The Justice Department briefed federal prosecutors and agents on the team investigating Hunter Biden on a key FBI document containing allegations of a criminal bribery scheme involving Joe Biden in October 2020, but did not invite IRS agents to that briefing, Sen. Chuck Grassley charged. That accusation was leveled just weeks after IRS whistleblowers alleged that the entire federal investigation into Hunter Biden's business dealings was influenced by politics. The document in question is an FBI-generated FD-1023 form. The form, dated June 30, 2020, reflects the FBI's interview with a "highly credible" confidential source who detailed multiple meetings and conversations

Buried at the end of his letter to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Monday denying he had asked for Special Counsel status in the Hunter Biden investigation, U.S. Attorney for Delaware David C. Weiss–claiming the matter was part of an “ongoing investigation”–refused to answer Graham’s questions about the FBI FD-1023 Form dated on June 30, 2020 that contains allegations by a highly credible confidential source that around 2015 then Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter were each paid $5 million by a Ukrainian Burisma executive to influence U.S. policy and that recordings of phone calls with the Bidens were made as an insurance policy.

U.S. Attorney David Weiss denied on Monday allegations made by two IRS whistleblowers that he requested special counsel status in his investigation of President Joe Biden’s son Hunter and that he was blocked from bringing charges against the younger Biden in two jurisdictions. Weiss stated in a letter obtained by Breitbart News to Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) that he neither requested special counsel status from Attorney General Merrick Garland nor was he “denied the authority to bring charges” outside of his local office in Delaware.

House Republicans will finally get a chance to press FBI Director Chris Wray for answers they’ve spent months seeking. Wray’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday will mark his first appearance at a public hearing since former special counsel John Durham released findings of widespread FBI misconduct in the Russia investigation. It’ll also be his first since multiple whistleblowers from the IRS and FBI have come forward with descriptions of the preferential treatment offered to Hunter Biden.Wray’s FBI has come under fire for everything from political probes to religious liberty infringements. Facing scrutiny from GOP lawmakers that has included calls for his removal, Wray will come under enormous pressure

A top attorney prosecuting Hunter Biden was briefed about allegations Joe and his son received $5 million each in bribes, but didn't investigate and left IRS investigators out of the meeting, Republican Senator Chuck Grassley has claimed. According to a letter obtained by DailyMail.com that Grassley sent to Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss - who is prosecuting Hunter Biden for federal gun and tax crimes - the senator alleges obstruction of the Hunter probe by one of his top prosecutors, Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf. Grassley says that according to IRS whistleblowers, Wolf 'prevented investigators from seeking information about Joe Biden's involvement in Hunter Biden's criminal business arrangements.'

It's been fascinating and at times amusing to watch. The same mainstream media outlets — which propped up Joe Biden in 2020, allowed him to run for the highest office in the land from his basement, helped engage in an operation to block and debunk Hunter Biden's very real laptop from hell, and then repeated White House spin about inflation, Afghanistan and other crises — are now reporting on how much of a mess we've all known Biden always was.The New York Times has twice in one week run pieces raking Biden over the coals for denying the existence of his young granddaughter in Arkansas

From the outside, the rows of tile-roof houses in a new community in Menifee don’t look much different from those in other subdivisions cropping up in this fast-growing city in Riverside County. But on the inside, these all-electric homes are revolutionary, offering a glimpse of the zero-emission future we should be hurtling toward to fight climate change and adapt to its effects. All the houses in the Durango and Oak Shade at Shadow Mountain communities, two adjacent KB Home subdivisions I visited in May for an opening event, were built without natural gas hookups or appliances. The headlines were stark and specific. Reuters claimed, “World registers hottest day ever recorded on July 3.” Well, “ever recorded” is misleading since the records have only been “recorded” since 1979. But what kind of a headline would that have been? At least the BBC was honest about their scare headline: “World’s hottest day since records began.” The bottom line: We’re all going to burn up and we’re all going to die unless we throw an hysterical climate change tantrum and demand that our government take panicky steps to save us from the climate change demons. There’s no doubt that this Independence Day was hot. It was very hot. It was uncomfortably hot

An archbishop in the Church of England said the opening of the “Lord’s Prayer” is considered “problematic” to some people because the 2,000-year-old prayer starts by addressing God as “Our Father.” Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell told the General Synod, the legislating and ruling body of the Church of England, that referring to God as “father” might be offensive to some people because of the negative connotations of patriarchy. “I know the word ‘father’ is problematic for those whose experience of earthly fathers has been destructive and abusive, and for all of us who have labored rather too much from an oppressively patriarchal grip on life,” Cottrell said,

Stein’s Law holds that “If something cannot go on forever, it will stop.” The late Herbert Stein made the observation about economic trends, but his axiom perfectly describes Joe Biden’s shaky dance with political death. The president is trying to navigate a narrow path between two potential disasters. Each one could prove fatal to his tenure, but if the twain shall meet, he doesn’t have a prayer. And it’s a near certainty they will meet because the facts we already know are overwhelmingly stacked against him and more damaging information is coming soon. One track of his predicament stems from general public unhappiness with his performance.

Major legal rulings that dismantled the use of race in college admissions, undermined protections for LGBTQ people and tossed out President Joe Biden’s student debt relief program marked the end of a Supreme Court term in which the conservative supermajority continued to exert its dominance. The majority also doubled down on a controversial legal theory that limits the power of federal agencies to take unilateral action. Meanwhile, the justices rejected a far-fetched argument that would have limited the role of state courts in election disputes and turned away an aggressive attempt to challenge Biden administration immigration policy – both areas in which lawyers on the right might have overreached in their arguments.

New York Magazine’s “Intelligencer” feature ran a fawning portrayal of President Joe Biden Friday, which mostly focused on his ice cream habits, cute text arguments with wife Jill, and his aching desire to be home in Delaware. The tone of the article was mostly, “what a nice older gentleman, aren’t his foibles endearing,” but several details describe someone who doesn’t sound all that decent. For starters, he makes Vice President Kamala Harris sit through self-congratulating slide shows. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen was slammed for bowing multiple times when she met with China's vice premier He Lifeng, as some critics say the protocol error is a sign of American weakness. Yellen, who served as chair of the Federal Reserve before becoming Joe Biden's top financial official, wrapped up her first visit to China as treasury secretary on Sunday. Moments after bowing at least three times, Yellen then stumbled over He's name, calling him 'Vice Premier Hu.' Both Washington and Beijing said the meetings during her four-day trip were fruitful, although the visit - designed to help smooth a rocky relationship - did not generate any concrete agreements.
