The more you look at Florida's governor, Ron DeSantis, the more you like him. Here's his new plan on how to deal with Joe Biden's open borders policies that have brought the surge of illegal aliens into the country, in a neatly presented, effectively communicated Twitter summary: (Snip for tweet) It's impressive, frankly for multiple reasons. First, as noted above, it's effective Twitter communication, fearlessly getting the word out and summing up the precise details for all to read quickly. Second, it's well in tune with what Americans are most thinking about in these days of Joe Biden's failed presidency. According to the Washington Times last Dec. 7:

The Demented Fuhrer aims to let in the diseased and illiterate ILLEGALS as part of his "infrastructure" plan. Heels Up probably doesn't intend to visit the chaotic border for a long time. Just hyena laughter in the office - HA HA HA HA HA.

Okay, will someone please explain to me why TX, AZ, and all the other Republican governors are not following Desantis lead? I believe he is also requesting 8M to transport the illegals delivered to FL to Delaware and Martha’s Vineyard. I bet the open borders will close if all the Republican governors did this. I am tired of hearing AZ cry about the illegal problem. They need to take action like FL.

I'm Catholic, but I know that Catholic charities is complicit in bringing in and moving these illegals around, so I hope he hits them hard. Unfortunately, they will just drop them off in other states, like my state, Louisiana! We have a useless pelosi loving dem governor, so he'll allow it.

The 6th one that, unfortunately, DeSantis has no control over, is anchor babies. I retired in August and took a job as an overnight cashier. You wouldn't believe how much illegal aliens - that can't speak a lick of English - are taking in in welfare. Cookies, cokes, potato chips ... all paid for by you and me. Why? Because they have American citizens as children. We can't have an American citizen go hungry while illegal momma and daddy take care of them, now can we? An American citizen should have an American mother and an American father. (cough, cough - Obama).

The only way to keep illegal aliens, who use all sorts of false or fraudulent ID by the millions to get hired to American jobs, is for the US Government to issue every person, citizens and aliens alike who are authorized to work in the USA with a modern social security card that identifies the bearer to employers by way of a computerized photograph and other identifiers and is machine readable so that employers can conduct secure e-verify checks by inserting the modern social security card into a computerized reader connected to a government database. Small employers could use a commercial service to conduct the e-verify check on their behalf for a small fee. The current e-verify system was purposefully made to be incompetent by the DC “swamp” so that illegal alien impostors using someone else’s ID, or counterfeit ID to beat the system as the result of massive lobbying by employers and entities who want to hire illegal aliens at much lower costs then if they were to hire American workers. No doubt it would be a huge task for the government to reissue all social security cards in a modern machine readable version, some of the current version have even been obtained by fraud and are being used by illegal alien impostors many of who have made false claims to being US citizens. But that is the only way to stop illegal aliens from coming to the USA, knowing that it is easy for them to take American jobs through identity fraud. The best way to keep politics out of legitimate immigration law enforcement is for the USA to pass a Constitutional Amendment to the effect that any alien who entered the USA unlawfully, or who has stayed in the USA longer than permitted under the immigration laws is permanently ineligible for US citizenship. That way legalized former illegal aliens could never legally vote in USA federal or state elections. Because if illegal aliens could never vote in US elections common sense dictates that self-serving politicians would have no reason to pander to them or use all sorts of political maneuvers to keep them in the USA. Along with the fact the intending illegal aliens would know that they would no longer be able to beat the system.

I have met at least 6 governors of Florida in my lifetime. Some have been good and some not so good. Descant is is the first one that has been great! He may be the best governor in the nations history. One other thing he might do is to hold what ever vehicle that brought illegals into the state, for payment of any fines and charges that arise from their violating Florida’s borders. That includes planes, trains, buses, boats cars and trucks. Do you think even a Delta will fly illegals into Florida, knowing they will lose a 30 million dollar airplane?

A few days ago, Americans were treated to this "edifying: spectacle: (Snip for tweet) Joe Biden looks wretched -- sleepy-eyed, strident, bitter, sneering, mirthless, slurry-voiced, and ugly. If this is his best campaign face to the public, he's in a world of trouble. (Snip for screen shots) But that's not nearly as bad as the claim he is making -- that he's somehow creating jobs across the country, and here's this place where he's out waving his magic job wand in Marjorie Taylor Greene's district in Georgia to "prove" it. Since I took office, we've seen over 60 domestic manufacturing announcements, all across the solar supply chain.

Pete Buttigieg has announced he's taking over the White House social media feed in order to tout Joe Biden's achievements. (Snip for Tweet) What could go wrong. To start with, the plan looks suspiciously close to being part of Biden's presidential campaign re-election strategy, given that Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom are out touring the country to do the exact same thing. For Pete, that would violate the Hatch Act, which prohibits political campaigning while on the job. But let's put that aside. The front screen shot of the ad is so bad, what with that closeup of Pete with his mouth wide open it looks like a political enemy created it.

Leave it up to The Atlantic to tell us we've got too many food choices in a grocery store, and for our own good, we ought to have less. That's pretty much what writer Adam Fleming wrote in his plaintive cry against too much choice at the grocery store. On a recent afternoon, while running errands before I had to pick up my kids from school, I froze in the orange-juice aisle of a big-box store. So many different brands lay before me: Minute Maid, Simply, Tropicana, Dole, Florida’s Natural, Sunny D—not to mention the niche organic labels. And each brand offered juices with various configurations of pulp, vitamins, and concentrate.

Authorities in Honduras have launched an El Salvador-style crackdown and arrested a suspect in a pool hall shooting on Saturday that killed 11 people. Police said they were investigating the possibility the pool hall shooting could be revenge for last week’s gang-related massacre of 46 female inmates, the worst atrocity at a women’s prison in recent memory. The Honduran government has vowed to crack down on gang violence and put curfews in place. On Monday, the military police – who have taken charge of the nation’s prisons – posted photos of male inmates forced to sit in rows, spread-legged and touching, during a raid to seize contraband in one prison.

Want to see what a real insurrection looks like? Look to Moscow. By now, you've probably heard that Vladmir Putin has got big problems there. There's an uprising, an actual insurrection from the armed Wagner mercenary group of 25,000 led by Russian rival oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin. The group has been fighting in Ukraine alongside Russia's troops, but much more effectively than the Russian army, which had to have made its leader ambitious. Prigozhin, recall, is a revolting ex-criminal and based on his private phone calls, detests Putin. The uprising was triggered by a few days of negative words with the Russian military, which Prigozhin claimed wanted to take

California has come up with a new absurdity, one that stands to raise the wildfire damage risk, even as insurers such as State Farm, are already pulling out. Goats. They're going after the goats, making it so expensive for goatherders to graze goats on the state's firetrap hillsides that their employing companies say they will go out of business. No more goats grazing on hillsides, wolfing down tons of dry tinder for this wildfire-prone state. According to the Associated Press: Targeted grazing is part of California’s strategy to reduce wildfire risk because goats can eat a wide variety of vegetation and graze in steep, rocky terrain that’s hard to access.

Canada lost its greatest folk singer in Gordon Lightfoot, who died on Monday at the age of 84. Lightfoot's music hailed pioneers, working men, laborers, little guys, trailblazers, and even drunken losers in the true folk tradition of both Canada and the U.S. It was sensitive but distinctly he-man masculine, a vivid reminder of such a thing in this age of anti-masculinity. He sang of the same world described by longshoreman/philosopher Eric Hoffer. His music, though Canadian, had a significant affinity for Michigan, northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, upstate New York and the other states of the historic northwest, where there are many fans.

An archbishop in the Church of England said the opening of the “Lord’s Prayer” is considered “problematic” to some people because the 2,000-year-old prayer starts by addressing God as “Our Father.” Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell told the General Synod, the legislating and ruling body of the Church of England, that referring to God as “father” might be offensive to some people because of the negative connotations of patriarchy. “I know the word ‘father’ is problematic for those whose experience of earthly fathers has been destructive and abusive, and for all of us who have labored rather too much from an oppressively patriarchal grip on life,” Cottrell said,

One track of his predicament stems from general public unhappiness with his performance.

Major legal rulings that dismantled the use of race in college admissions, undermined protections for LGBTQ people and tossed out President Joe Biden’s student debt relief program marked the end of a Supreme Court term in which the conservative supermajority continued to exert its dominance. The majority also doubled down on a controversial legal theory that limits the power of federal agencies to take unilateral action. Meanwhile, the justices rejected a far-fetched argument that would have limited the role of state courts in election disputes and turned away an aggressive attempt to challenge Biden administration immigration policy – both areas in which lawyers on the right might have overreached in their arguments.

Moments after bowing at least three times, Yellen then stumbled over He's name, calling him 'Vice Premier Hu.'
