In August 2020 a reader drew my attention to a Peggy Noonan mash note in the form of her Wall Street Journal column “The Rise of Kamala Harris.” Subhead: “The daughter of East Bay professors grew up to become an excellent performer of politics.”
The column elicited thousands of critical comments. They almost made the column worth reading. They were certainly more perceptive or more realistic than Noonan’s column. I quoted four of them in “High Noonan.”
I also noted that Noonan hadn’t “yet turned on Harris based on her patent idiocy or her actual performance as vice president,” but expressed confidence that “we can look forward to the column

The last time I heard "delighted laughter" like that, it emanated from a hyena.

Subhead: “The daughter of East Bay professors grew up to become an excellent performer of fellatio.” There Peggy, I fixed it for you.

What happens to these former conservatives in the media? Noonan, Jonah Goldberg, Steve Hayes, Jennifer Rubin, Max Boot, Mona Charen, and many more have betrayed conservatives and conservatism all because they could not fathom Donald Trump in the WH. Nevermind Trump actually delivered on his promises and implemented conservative policies - policies all of the abovementioned used to espouse. Now they actually voted for Biden!!
The word "traitorous" is too kind.

Noonan is very muddleheaded. Has been the case for decades. She got a good break in DC once and has been hanging on for dear life ever since/ Don't know how she does it.

Have a Journal subscription and the one column I NEVER read is Peggy's weekend full half page.......like minded friends and I long ago nicknamed her Bubbles, and I never could stand her pro Biden, pro Harris nonsense when not was absolutely clear that he campaigned from a basement and she flamed out in 30 seconds in her presidential run. The ONLY reason Bubbles was pro Biden/Harris was she hated Trump. Bubble is emotional to a fault.

Peggy is more about emotion and feel-good nonsense than rational thinking. She is far too influenced by her liberal friends. I don't even bother to read the titles of her columns in the WSJ. Why they continue to publish her is a mystery.

Noonan is one of the leading practitioners of clutch-your-pearls journalism. I read this particular column through.
News flash for Noonan: The political career of Harris is irredeemable. The best Harris could do is to go back to the world's oldest profession.

I read the WSJ editorial page daily. It doesn't take long to learn which writers are lefty. I gave up on Noonan the day she expressed her preference for Obama. Poor judgment, Peggy. Many wonder why she has not been kicked to the curb by the Journal. I'm convinced that her columns are mere clickbait to all the conservatives who chime in with their comments which follow her columns, despairing at her obtuseness. I spent a year clicking on her column, not bothering to read her column, just skipping down to the comments by other readers. They were far, far, far more insightful than anything Peggy could write.
Peggy once wrote some speeches for Ronald Reagan. She might have turned a few memorable phrases, but Reagan's philosophy shone through sufficiently that you knew he wrote most of each speech himself. She has now departed so far from Reagan's conservatism that she is seen as an overly-emotive lefty who is a traitor to Ronald Reagan's conservative vision.

Noonan was a good speechwriter for Ronald Reagan. Period. As for Kamala, what you see is what you get. She'authentic. And there's no cure for that.
