New York—The CEOs of Target (TGT), Best Buy (BBY), Nordstrom (JWN), Home Depot (HD) and CVS (CVS) are among a group of 20 retail leaders who sent a letter Thursday to Congress expressing their concern over a recent wave of brazen store robberies in major US cities and urged lawmakers to take action. The group called on Congress to pass legislation that would deter criminals from being able to easily resell stolen merchandise, specifically online. "As millions of Americans have undoubtedly seen on the news in recent weeks and months, retail establishments of all kinds have seen a significant uptick in organized crime in communities across the nation,"

Sorry boys, but this isn’t a federal problem. You need to take it directly to the people living in those cities in which the police fail to arrest and the DAs fail to prosecute

So they don't want to go after the criminals robbing their stores. They want to prevent them reselling the stolen goods. Those liberal CEOs can go to h3ll and figure out their own solution. I hope they all go bankrupt.

You should have given your money to the campaigns of DA's that were for law and order, instead of to BLM.

Tenth amendment you say? Not a Federal issue you say? This is a post-Constitutional administration. They’ll make us all pay.

Unfortunately, they addressed the letter to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who put her fingers in her ears and went la-la-la.

Federal help? Are you kidding me? This is the states’ and cities’ problems. I guess they want taxpayers money to solve problems that they created or maybe reimburse them for their losses. They now have two choices...make your store a fortress with armed guards or move.

Nice little flash mob you’ve got there. Be a shame if a couple of you got shot on the way out the door. “Clean up is aisle two”.

Reselling stolen goods is already a crime. This is like asking Congress to pass more gun laws. Laws without enforcement are useless.

As a very wise man once said, "Everything woke turns to schiff".
Those very CEO's made their bed by cuddling up to BLM, now they get to sleep in it.

What every single previous poster stated. These idiot corporations went woke, backed Antifa and BLM, and Soros funded DAs, and finally defunding the local police.
The CEOs of all these corporations are elites and therefore part of the problem as they constantly make poor decisions, paid crazy money, and then promoted when everything they touch is destroyed.

Well guys you didn’t want Trump because he went after China and raised the tariffs on the goods you sell. Now what did you gain? I hope you all go broke and lose your jobs. You wanted the idiot in the White House so deal with it. Hire private security, spend some of your profits

Back when signs were posted warning looters they would be shot—there wasn’t much looting. Looters should be shot. Period.

Aren’t all of these companies among the many who got woke after the Floyd incident last year? Guess that all of that BLM protection money you paid did nothing more than buy a few mansions in California. Suckers.

I have read, over the past decade (pre -dating the recent black flash mob robberies) that up to 30 % of items being sold on line are stolen goods.
The recent phenomenon of black flash mob lootings represents domestic terrorism, in my opinion.
And the little AG, Garland, has said domestic terrorism is the number one problem in the U.S., and I believe the worthless FBI director said the same thing.
So the two of them should do something.

Oddly enough, the article doesn't mention the Amendment that would actually curtail what used to be against the law.
