Virginia GOP completes sweep of elections
with House win

Original Article

A three-judge panel overseeing a recount in a close Virginia state House race upheld the Republican candidate’s victory on Friday, a decision that also reaffirms the GOP’s takeover of the chamber and completes the party’s sweep of last month’s elections. Republicans also claimed the statewide offices of governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general in the Nov. 2 balloting. Those wins were a dramatic turnaround in a state where the GOP had not won a statewide race since 2009. Democrats still hold a 21-19 majority in the Senate— where elections won’t be held until 2023

Comments:

Virginians have started the counterrevolution (and they said it couldn't be done). Now it's up to the rest of the country to finish the job.

Now that is really being "woke". Virginians woke up to what was happening and turned it around. Good for them. Now let's see them deliver.

I was very excited Republicans made great headway defeating McAwful and taking the Virginia state House. I was watching One America News from a GOP rally in Virginia yesterday. The VA GOP Chair and Virginia State Senator were interviewed one after the other to discuss this new day for Virginia. Both of them had matching talking points tamping DOWN expectations when queried about MAGA voters expecting promises to be kept.

Cuomo had tried to remain in office for days after the report, insisting he did nothing wrong, but eventually bowed to the pressure. Lt. Gov. Vice President Joe Biden confused the Philadelphia Eagles logo with the emblem of his own undergraduate university at a Sunday campaign rally in the City of Brotherly Love. “I know Philadelphia well,” the former vice president told the crowd at a drive-in rally in a church parking lot. “I married a Philly girl by the way and by the way got my Eagle’s jacket on.” But Biden’s parka bore the logo of the University of Delaware Blue Hens — where he received his bachelor’s degree. The mix-up was quickly noticed by President Trump’s campaign.

New York CNN said Saturday that anchor Chris Cuomo has been "terminated" by the network, "effective immediately." The announcement came after an outside law firm was retained to review information about exactly how Cuomo aided his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, when the then-governor was accused of sexual harassment. CNN said in a statement: "Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother's defense. We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately." "While in the process of that review, additional information has come to light,"

On Saturday, Chris Cuomo was fired from CNN “effective immediately.” The decision was unexpected by the many people who figured that the network that kept Jeffrey Toobin despite his… umm… scandal… would ultimately refuse to part ways with its apparent top anchor. But, apparently, there was more to this story. Cuomo was suspended after text messages released by the New York attorney general’s office showed Cuomo was actively assisting with his brother’s response to the allegations of sexual misconduct against him and exploiting his media connections to dig up dirt on Andrew’s accusers. But, according to the statement, during the review, “additional information

For nearly a year the Biden “presidency” -- whoever they are -- has subjected the United States to a destructive revolutionary agenda of unprecedented scope and virulence, all of it arising out of an irrational civilizational death wish for which there is no historical parallel. No more than a small minority of Americans knowingly voted for this.(snip) the only question worth asking is how, if at all, a counterrevolution of sanity can be mounted and succeed. Surprisingly, there is real hope. That hope lies in two stubborn centers of resistance that remain: nearly 50% of the American electorate, judging by the 2016 and 2020 elections; and the Republican Party.

Donald Trump's love affair with fast food carried on even when he was hospitalized with COVID-19 as the then-president ordered McDonald's to be brought to his room at Walter Reed Hospital, according to an upcoming book by his former chief of staff. In The Chief's Chief, Mark Meadows writes Trump didn't seemingly lose his sense of taste, as some COVID sufferers have reported, when he demanded takeout during his October 2020 hospital stay. 'They had to eat with face shields on at the doctor's orders, which didn't thrill any of them,' the book, Meadows writes in the book, which comes out Tuesday.

The Bidens were on Biden time last night as they arrived at their designated spot for the National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. They were late. They were late enough that the host of the ceremony held on The Ellipse in President’s Park south of the White House had to ask the audience to re-do their applause after the First Couple’s introduction. Last night was the 99th annual National Christmas Tree lighting. Is it too much to ask that Biden’s keepers get him outside on time to flip a switch? Apparently so, and it turned out to be a moment more awkward than usual for Sleepy Joe.
