Donald Trump's love affair with fast food carried on even when he was hospitalized with COVID-19 as the then-president ordered McDonald's to be brought to his room at Walter Reed Hospital, according to an upcoming book by his former chief of staff. In The Chief's Chief, Mark Meadows writes Trump didn't seemingly lose his sense of taste, as some COVID sufferers have reported, when he demanded takeout during his October 2020 hospital stay. 'They had to eat with face shields on at the doctor's orders, which didn't thrill any of them,' the book, Meadows writes in the book, which comes out Tuesday.
Powerful stuff right here!!

I guess Meadows thinks it is a crime to eat McDonald's food. This is really picking nits. Considering that President Trump had already caught Covid, what good would wearing face shields while eating do? It sounds rather pointless to me.

I seem to remember that Bubba Clinton was a McDonalds aficionado but I don’t remember the media ragging him about it.

Traitor Joe goes to restaurants and eats without a mask. Why not talk about him and stop talking about Pres. Trump.

How does one eat while wearing a face shield? Slurp thin gruel through a straw? Oh wait! Straws are banned…I give up.

When my mother was in the hospital after a fall, I brought her McDonald's because she didn't like the hospital food. Was that wrong?

I've only been in one hospital where the food was good, but unfortunately, I had a reaction to anesthesia and tossed it right back up.

Had it been anyone but President Trump, the writer would have said “requested takeout food” instead of “demanded”… They never give up do they… Clever how she planted that in among other verbs such as ordered...

One thing is CERTAIN, and that is that the libs and socialists are DESPERATELY AFRAID of this man who conjures up the American Spirit of FREEDOM from GOVERNMENT CONTROL and Tyranny against the individual.
They MUST at every turn put him down and cover JoeBamaBiteMe @ss against ANY criticism and they make up LIES to cover his LIES.

It amazes me how the left will take anything and make a big deal out of it. So the guy got McDonalds brought to him while he was in the hospital. Maybe he likes it. I had a friend in a nursing hospital that loved whenever I visited him. I would always bring a hamburger, fries and a milk shake from Mc Dolalds. He loved the stuff. Let's hear the next fake news story.

So what? Everybody knows hospital food is not the best stuff. And if you are sick, you get the right to eat what you want. Trump is still at it, living rent free in the minds of the Left, both here and foreign.

I just can't imagine "The Donald" eating McDonalds. Five Guys, Fudruckers, Red Robbin or even Burger King, maybe. But McDonalds makes the most tasteless burgers on the market.

Sad to say, even McDonalds beats hospital food. At a couple of grand a day per room you would think that the fare would include a little something with taste and substance. My grandkids can make better jello.

So, over a year after the fact, the Daily Mail needs to write a story about what Trump ordered to eat while in the hospital for Covid. I don't understand the purpose of writing this piece NOW.

Only an evil genius would think of the Mickey D-in-the-hospital ploy to drive the Left insane. We must keep our eyes peeled for other displays of villainy! A velvet Elvis at Mar-a-Lago? Fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror of his Rolls? It was reported that, as President, he once ordered “Seasons in the Sun” looped for hours in the WH press room! The fiend knows no bounds! Come Watson! The game is afoot!

Remember, this is the Daily Mail "interpreting" Meadow's book and the Mail more dishonest than the NYT. I highly doubt if Trump "demanded" McDonalds. More likely, he asked for McDonalds food. But the Mail must make it seem negative about Trump. The Mail is trash and belongs at the bottom of a bird cage.

Contrast this with the Nicholson Character in "Bucket List" that has a meal brought in by/with the city's top 5star chef.
(As well as the Clinton/Obama/Biden date nights to similar chefs establishments, or bringing those chefs into the Whitehouse)
Medias poutrage over this simply cements Trumps place as an egalitarian "Everyman"
Them branding him as Unsophisticated merely amplifies their own Sophistry.

The key to McD's success is not some epicurean perfection..it is that it is universally consistent, unchanging, the exact same no no matter where it is picked up. Not excellent, always adequate, but never awful.

I spent nearly a month in a 7th day Adventist hospital after a bad motorcycle wreck...Plant based diet, no caffeine, no alcohol.
They ended up sending a maintenance man to screw my window shut because my friends would sneak in late at night to bring me Bar-b-Q and beer. My Doctor finally broke down and prescribed 2 cups of coffee, bacon or sausage, in the AM, and a six pack of Heineken to be consumed from lunch through midnight. Allowed Bar-b-Q and mex food to be brought in three times a week.

Consider the source, a virulent anti-Trump UK yellow rag disguised as a newspaper. Obviously they do not know that in America even the President of the USA can order and eat whatever meal that he wishes to consume.

I fail to see why this is such a big deal. When I had the Kung Flu in May, I craved Hot and Sour soup from my local Chinese take-out. I had to have it for lunch and sometimes even supper. It soothed the coughing and my sore throat, and even though I had lost my taste and smell, I could still feel the heat in mouth.
My OB/GYN sister used to tell her expectant mother patients to listen to their cravings. It was usually their bodies telling them that it needed something in the craved food.

Wow, now THAT'S a really crucial story for trashy, anti-Trump DM to break.
Some fast food is blah, some is pretty good....if it's what you like. Trump like's McD's food. Good for him. I have always thought that McD's french fries were about the best there are. Other places can, at best, hope to match them. Burgers....good, consistent, say a 7 or 8 but always consistent. Wendy's are somewhat better burgers, but I don't eat many burgers any more, calories and fat are more than I need on a regular basis. I'll eat them some times, but need to stick to more health fare most days.
Now.....since McD's went to 'drive through only' in the Dem-panic, I haven't eaten there in two years. I will NOT eat in my lap in a car when traveling, and if they won't open their dining room, they won't get my business. Now.....they have dropped the salads, which I primarily ordered and the fruit yogurt parfait, which was my desert of choice. So, I may never eat at McDs again. Their loss, I'll get over it.
I just discovered Huddle House, since it was the only fast food open at 7 pm in Salina, KS a week or so ago as we traveled back from Colorado. Great Philly Steak sandwich, OK fries, decent service and clean. My wife had sirloin tip sandwich, gave me a sample....also excellent. We'll be stopping again, never had even heard of it before. The Wendy's nearby that we often eat at, now has no dine in after 5 pm (?????), apparently staffing issues, so their off until they get back sorted out. I think Wendy's chili is great and my wife likes their chicken salad. And of course....Frosties.
