Not a smart move. When you act guilty, people assume you are guilty.

I think charging the parents in this case will have a profound effect on parents across the US and we should see the beginning of the end of the school shootings. If parents know they can be charged right along with their kids, they will start SECURELY locking the guns away from their underage children. Good for Michigan and good for Detroit, too.

No wonder the kid is a psychotic mess.

You should be able to see where the boy came by his obvious homicidal mental health condition.

Yesterday's report was that they didn't run away and law enforcement knew where they were. People should not speak when they don't know what is going on. Sometimes that is known as "lying."
Personally, I believe that they encouraged the little twit to handle the bullying problem with frontier justice. Neither one looks like they are wrapped too tight.

We don’t have all the facts yet so it is too early to draw conclusions. My primary concern is that these charges align with the new pattern of “justice” that is evolving in our country. It is rare to go after the parents, but perhaps the fact that they are white and gun owners may make it more likely.

Seems this boy showed many signs that he needed help, no one paid any heed to him. How many times is this going to happen before parents and teachers wake up and actually listen. Every time this has happened, people knew the person was extremely troubled. It's time for adults to be adults and take charge.

They seemed distressed. Gee, I wonder why? Their son just shot up a school, and they're all of a sudden, federal fugitives. Seems to me every person in the school system knew this kid was about to blow up, and they did nothing. If the parents are federal fugitives, so should several school teachers and administrators.

Fugitive(s) from what???!!! they haven't done anything wrong and if this is litigated in court, they will win and own the city, county and state of Michigan. don't know who is the brain behind this deal but someone ought to send him/her out to check on the pig sty.

This is all about guns and a bad precedent charging parents for their child's crime. If they can do it when it comes to guns they can do it for all sorts of other things. One in particular comes to mind and that's driving. Little Johnny or Suzie decides to run from the po po (a felony) over what would be a speeding ticket, let's arrest the parents right along with them. The parents gave the car or the use of it to Jr. or Missy and they went out and committed a crime in it. It can be the parents' fault too. Heck, make it a generational crime like North Korea and arrest the entire family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins - everybody).

It's upon us folks being a white gun owner is now a crime. The son is a murderer who wasn't wrapped tight but what's up with the parents?

I'm confused. I heard the Dad had purchased the pistol on Black Friday, but this article says: ' stem from having purchased a gun for the teen in the days ahead of the shooting ' < br>
Subjective, but buying a gun for a minor (or any other prohibited person) is a felony.
