I lived in Chicago for a short time back in the late 70s during the Mayor Bilandic/Jane Byrne period. One thing quickly became clear, if your were a higher-up anywhere in the democrat mafia out there you were not clean, honest or living exclusively on your reported income. I think Big Jim Thompson was governor at the time. Nothing has ever changed. The entire state is as crooked as Hillary Clinton ever thought of being.

Just a couple of insights because I live in the Chicago media market. Blago was caught on tape trying to sell Obama's senate seat - to the current sitting governor JB the Hutt. Blago really started to skyrocket his political career -and get in trouble -when he married the daughter of alderman Dick Mel. He is in the Mount Rushmore Hall of Fame for corruption. Lastly I listened to Rod Blagojevichs radio show and several interviews since he was released. In my opinion he is genuinely contrite. I think he wants to do the right thing, not just for the sake of redemption, but to do right for its own sake. My 2 cents from just over the border in NW Indiana.

All the signs are indicating that the Republicans are likely to have a huge wave win in the 2022 midterms.Joe Biden’s numbers are in the basement and polls show that Americans believe Republicans are the better choice than the Democrats. That doesn’t leave the Democrats with a lot of options at this point. Of course, what they could try to do is listen to what people are saying that they don’t like about their policies and change their policies to things that make more sense. But that isn’t going to happen anytime soon. So what they have been trying to do instead is paint lipstick on a pig

DAVIS, Calif. — Banana peels, chicken bones and leftover veggies won't have a place in California trashcans under the nation's largest mandatory residential food waste recycling program that's set to take effect in January. The effort is designed to keep landfills in the most populous U.S. state clear of food waste that damages the atmosphere as it decays. When food scraps and other organic materials break down they emit methane, a greenhouse gas more potent and damaging in the short-term than carbon emissions from fossil fuels. To avoid those emissions, California plans to start converting residents' food waste into compost or
