Brian Laundrie, the sole suspect in the death of Long Island native Gabby Petito, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, a lawyer for his family said Tuesday. “Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was suicide,” attorney Steve Bertolino told The Post. “Chris and Roberta are still mourning the loss of their son and are hopeful that these findings bring closure to both families.” A forensic anthropologist determined the manner of death to be suicide. Neither Betolino nor the bureau had previously mentioned a gun being involved.

Well, at least he did one thing right. He saved her family the pain of having to re-live everything during a trial, and he saved the taxpayers from having to feed and take care of him for the rest of his miserable life as he rotted away in prison. Of course, I'm guessing he will have a long, hot, and miserable eternity to ponder his actions in Hell!!!

I see no reason to change this finding, but I do not recall them reporting that a gun was found near the body.

'Twas a gnarly end, but it had to be that way. The remains likely came into contact with Alligator mississippiensis, which would be fitting for this awful offal. Laundrie knew he'd be taken to the cleaners if a prosecutor ever got a shot at him, so he headed off into the mud. No mention is made of a gun being found near the remains. Maybe a gator ate it.

He could have saved the Petito family their pain too if he had just broken up with Gabby instead of losing his !@#! mind and strangling her. I hope he ROTS in Hell.

Not a Romeo and Juliet story by any means. It's still just horrible--two families broken apart by this crime. We need to protect our daughters and we need to educate our sons that you treat women with respect. I would even go so far as beginning an abstinence campaign for young'ns to wait until marriage to have sex. If you think about it, if Gabby was not having pre-marital sex with this guy she would not have taken this trip with Brian. There would be a reduction in abortions, and females would not be haunted by their pre-marital par amours. I know I am. I regret every pre-marital relationship that I had. I was used by many. No guy that I slept with had any intention to marry me. I want that time back. I know there are other women out there who feel this way.

A Texas woman found dead in her backyard may have been mauled by her own dogs, police said. Tiffany L. Frangione, 48, was found with fatal puncture wounds to her neck in her Houston yard last Friday morning. Frangione had let her two pups out into her backyard when they started fighting with the neighbor’s dog through the fence, according to detectives. They believe Frangione was trying to intervene when her own dogs – a 5-year-old female Alaskan husky mix and male Cane Corso mix — turned on her. She was dead when cops arrived on the scene. Frangione’s husband turned the two dogs over to the BARC Animal Shelter

Saule Omarova, who attended Moscow State University on the Lenin Academic Scholarship, compared America unfavorably to the USSR, and called for nationalizing finance isn’t Biden’s first Communist nominee. Omarova is only Biden’s first openly Communist nominee. Those used to be Communist articles of faith. Now they’re Democrat “solutions.” Democrats are no longer just socialists. There are bad vibes in the air. Some of it is driven by politics. In the West, an SUV plowed through the Waukesha holiday parade in Wisconsin, fanning the flames of domestic tension. The BBC reports huge protests across Europe over new Covid restrictions. Even paradise is bitten by the serpent. France sent special forces to its Caribbean region of Guadeloupe after Covid riots. But a lot of the discontent is driven by plain economics. High gas prices have forced “Americans to rejigger household budgets and forgo leisure activities,” says the NYT. People are getting poor. I’ve never been a fan of the Kennedy mystique. When I think of John F. Kennedy, aside from the fact that I enjoy reminding Democrats that he would be a Republican now, I think of compulsive womanizing, massive drug cocktails, and the disastrous Bay of Pigs fiasco. My thoughts about Teddy Kennedy are even worse. With him, it’s a fake neck brace and Mary Jo Kopechne slowly suffocating in a car lodged in shallow water. I also think of his waitress sandwiches. With those images in mind, I had to laugh (along with a lot of other people) when Maria Shriver, Teddy’s niece, announced on Twitter that she had no idea

The Strategic Petroleum Reserve, created following the oil crisis of the 1970s, exists to supply Americans during a war or other emergency. Democrats are now calling for oil to be released from the reserve to help reduce the high gas prices that they themselves have created. This is not an emergency unless you believe that the loss of Democrat seats in the 2022 midterm election constitutes an emergency. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve currently holds 638 million barrels, approximately 1,000 days of net petroleum imports — but far, far less (only 32 days worth) of total domestic demand of 20 million barrels per day.

As the recent election results in Virginia and New Jersey showed, Democrats have a growing problem with rural and working-class voters. They also have a problem with Latino voters and independents and non-college-educated women. That’s a lot of problems that they need to solve before 2022, or risk a historic midterm rebuke that could cost them both chambers of Congress as well as multiple state Houses and county and municipal contests from coast to coast. The reasons for these defections are numerous, with most of the post-election analysis focused on schools (and wedge issues such as “critical race theory”), the economy (rising inflation) and the response to the Covid pandemic.
