Is Yemen the Next Afghanistan?

There are bad vibes in the air. Some of it is driven by politics. In the West, an SUV plowed through the Waukesha holiday parade in Wisconsin, fanning the flames of domestic tension. The BBC reports huge protests across Europe over new Covid restrictions. Even paradise is bitten by the serpent. France sent special forces to its Caribbean region of Guadeloupe after Covid riots. But a lot of the discontent is driven by plain economics. High gas prices have forced “Americans to rejigger household budgets and forgo leisure activities,” says the NYT. People are getting poor. It’s even boomeranged on the environmentalists as the energy crunch drives Europe

Saudi Arabia could crush Yemen if they wanted to. The Kingdom has a long history of letting others fight their wars though. The continual Middle East wars is another good reason to fully develop our own oil resources.

Well Biden’s domestic job approval poll numbers are way down. So Biden at the moment could use a war to take pressure off his domestic failures. If Americans will rally behind the “great warrior leader” Biden who thinks he is Roosevelt (FDR). So if he starts another limited war against another primitive Islamist country using “progressive” rules of engagement that would be very disadvantageous to US forces on the ground remains to be seen. Chances are if that happens Biden will be on his own, as the UK Government, America’s closest Allie in the past, is not likely to contribute troops, especially in a place like Yemen where they have had long past military experience, to assist in another Biden fiasco analogous to Biden’s rapid retreat and surrender to the Taliban of Afghanistan.

I will not accept being put into another war for oil by an administration that has declared war ON oil. You do not get to close down the Keystone pipeline, kill 10,000 jobs, destroy American energy independence, THEN deploy our troops to protect Saudi oil production. That absolutely WILL NOT STAND. If you are in the military and your enlistment is ending, get out. If you are thinking of enlisting, don't.

American troops need to be there. The USA is #1, LEADER of the FREE WORLD!! We can't let the Kingdom come under attack...they're steadfast allies, good friends of the Bush family, buy our hardware. They are freedom-loving, aren't they? And no one wants to pay more for gas. General Milley needs Operation Yemini Freedom!!!

A Texas woman found dead in her backyard may have been mauled by her own dogs, police said. Tiffany L. Frangione, 48, was found with fatal puncture wounds to her neck in her Houston yard last Friday morning. Frangione had let her two pups out into her backyard when they started fighting with the neighbor’s dog through the fence, according to detectives. They believe Frangione was trying to intervene when her own dogs – a 5-year-old female Alaskan husky mix and male Cane Corso mix — turned on her. She was dead when cops arrived on the scene. Frangione’s husband turned the two dogs over to the BARC Animal Shelter

Brian Laundrie, the sole suspect in the death of Long Island native Gabby Petito, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, a lawyer for his family said Tuesday. “Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was suicide,” attorney Steve Bertolino told The Post. “Chris and Roberta are still mourning the loss of their son and are hopeful that these findings bring closure to both families.” A forensic anthropologist determined the manner of death to be suicide. Neither Betolino nor the bureau had previously mentioned a gun being involved.

Saule Omarova, who attended Moscow State University on the Lenin Academic Scholarship, compared America unfavorably to the USSR, and called for nationalizing finance isn’t Biden’s first Communist nominee. Omarova is only Biden’s first openly Communist nominee. Biden’s pick for comptroller of the currency has been taken to task for her calls to "end banking as we know it”, bankrupt oil and gas companies, and seize control of the entire economy. Those used to be Communist articles of faith. Now they’re Democrat “solutions.” Democrats are no longer just socialists. On November 14, 2021, a man detonated an improvised explosive device near the main entrance of Liverpool Women’s Hospital in England. Only he died, though the taxi driver who had just dropped him off was also injured. Although he botched it, investigators concluded that his was a terrorist attack that was planned months in advance. Emad al-Swealmeen, 32, the would-be terrorist in question, was a born Muslim who arrived in the UK in 2014 and applied for asylum by claiming he was a Syrian refugee. It turned out he was from Iraq or Jordan, and his asylum application was rejected. Soon thereafter, Emad formally converted to Christianity;

I’ve never been a fan of the Kennedy mystique. When I think of John F. Kennedy, aside from the fact that I enjoy reminding Democrats that he would be a Republican now, I think of compulsive womanizing, massive drug cocktails, and the disastrous Bay of Pigs fiasco. My thoughts about Teddy Kennedy are even worse. With him, it’s a fake neck brace and Mary Jo Kopechne slowly suffocating in a car lodged in shallow water. I also think of his waitress sandwiches. With those images in mind, I had to laugh (along with a lot of other people) when Maria Shriver, Teddy’s niece, announced on Twitter that she had no idea

The Strategic Petroleum Reserve, created following the oil crisis of the 1970s, exists to supply Americans during a war or other emergency. Democrats are now calling for oil to be released from the reserve to help reduce the high gas prices that they themselves have created. This is not an emergency unless you believe that the loss of Democrat seats in the 2022 midterm election constitutes an emergency. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve currently holds 638 million barrels, approximately 1,000 days of net petroleum imports — but far, far less (only 32 days worth) of total domestic demand of 20 million barrels per day.

As the recent election results in Virginia and New Jersey showed, Democrats have a growing problem with rural and working-class voters. They also have a problem with Latino voters and independents and non-college-educated women. That’s a lot of problems that they need to solve before 2022, or risk a historic midterm rebuke that could cost them both chambers of Congress as well as multiple state Houses and county and municipal contests from coast to coast. The reasons for these defections are numerous, with most of the post-election analysis focused on schools (and wedge issues such as “critical race theory”), the economy (rising inflation) and the response to the Covid pandemic.

For one he will need to reshuffle a coalition disappointed with his failures. “Nearly 10 months into his presidency, some of Biden’s most loyal contributors and top fundraisers are feeling neglected, if not outright cast aside,
