In the battle for NeverTrump stardom, the fiercest fighters have been those once known as leading conservatives. Consider, for example, former Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol, who contended that Virginia Republican Glenn Youngkin “fundamentally is unwilling to break with Trump and Trumpism.” On the other hand, with Joe Biden, “I agree with things this administration’s done, distinct things Biden has done or Biden’s proposed,” without much detail as to the “things.” Consider also David Frum of The Atlantic, a former speechwriter for George W. Bush, credited with the “axis of evil” pronouncement. Frum, who supported Hillary Clinton in 2016,  CORRECTION*

Who pays any attention to Kristol, Frum, Will, etc.? I’m surprised that the usually good Lloyd Billingsley wasted his time on this.

In the name of complete transparency - - Kristol has proudly had his original nose reattached. No more disguising himself with a botched nose job. He's got a 12-pound honker - - and he doesn't care who knows it.

Mr. Billingsley has a new reader; one who speaks fluent Southern. Speaking as a former daycare worker, I was amused to see that Mr. Smarty Pants aka George Will, has perhaps soiled himself as surely as the current Oval Office Placeholder probably did among the royals.

Our 'premiere' journalists know alot less than they think. They would rather have some smooth talking polished 'classy' politician blowing smoke up their rear ends all day long. With these guys it was always appearance over substance. Trump is rough around the edges, but that's preferable. He is authentic. What you see is what you get. You don't want someone that you cannot tell if they are being honest or lying. These polished politicians are like that so they can hide their true intentions.

This "derangement" among conservatives is really the conservative establishment versus the conservative masses. Krystol, Will and Frum are erudite gentlemen. Bet none has ever fired up a Harley or driven a pick-up except, maybe, on their New England farmette. Their thoughts on theoretical conservatism are meaningless to those who resent government intrusion through mandates, tax fiddling, aimless foreign interventions, jobs that have gone elsewhere, opportunities for select groups, neverending blame for whatever grievance anyone else seems to toss out...ad nauseum. Another martini, please...oh,look, it's a Bush standing next to a Cheney. I must say hello. Excuse me.

Circuit Court Judge Bruce E. Schroeder reported that someone was seen recording a video of Kyle Rittenhouse’s jury when they were picked up by the bus for the courtroom this morning. Schroeder said the officers asked the person to delete the video and if it happens again they will take the phone and bring it to court. “At pickup, there was someone there and video recording the jury, which officers approached the person and required [them]…to delete the video and return the phone to him. I’ve instructed that if it happens again, they are to take the phone and bring it here,” Schroeder said.

I saw Tucker Carlson’s Patriot Purge (all three parts) for free on RoxyTube yesterday along with 175 others. (That’s right only 175 people were watching it then.) There is a lot to recommend. Indeed, everyone should see it and determine for themselves if Tucker has raised relevant issues as to whether there was an “insurrection” on January 6 at the U.S. Capitol or not. Most of you who read American Thinker know that Tucker set out to tell the truth. For reasons discussed below, he may not yet have the complete truth, but there are numerous markers he reveals that suggest what may have happened.

Writing for Bloomberg, Eli Lake sees a shift in perspective about the FBI’s role in the Russiagate hoax: It’s been clear for nearly two years that Steele’s dossier was garbage. This is mainly thanks to the work of Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who released a report in 2019 skewering the FBI for its use of the dossier in its warrant applications, concluding that the bureau could not confirm any of its original reporting. The main takeaway from the Horowitz investigation was that the FBI cut corners and gamed the surveillance court.

Until recently, conservatives were the party of business. They defended the business world not as a necessary evil or because of its efficiencies, but because they thought it exemplified an enterprising, individualist morality. It respected rights of contract, served as an arena for creativity, and allowed socially useful competition. Even now, Republicans condemn the Left’s programs as creeping socialism, seemingly forgetful of the last decade in which corporations became the vanguard of the cultural revolution.

It was probably the worst day of Alec Baldwin's life when he accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie "Rust" on Oct. 21. It's a time to feel terrible about a 42-year-old woman with a husband and a young son. Then, CNN's Jake Tapper used it in one of his commentaries to denounce the entire Republican Party for making this tragedy an occasion for jokes. "There's something about our politics right now that is driving people away from our shared humanity."

He has been defending clients in courtrooms since the 1970s and argued numerous cases before the Supreme Court. He was also on the team that defended Donald Trump against impeachment. Alan Dershowitz believes that Alec Baldwin’s shooting of Halyna Hutchins could be considered a homicide. Gun safety protocols are so stringent that an accident of this kind is almost impossible.

For four continuous years, Alec Baldwin maliciously caricatured President Trump in numerous ‘comedy’ sketches on Saturday Night Live. The cycle worked as follows: The ‘brains’ in Washington contrived a scandal or outrage for that week, often related to the phony Russian Collusion narrative that loomed over Trump’s 4-year term. The figurative rifles were fired resting on the shoulders of shady lawyers, porn stars, dismissed or disgruntled personnel, anonymous ‘insiders’ and ‘leakers’.

A lot of people are angry that more doctors aren’t prescribing ivermectin when they first get diagnosed with COVID. However, a Washington State physician assistant lost his license because he prescribed ivermectin. Most doctors, having invested years upwards of seven years of their lives in preparing to be a physician, don’t want to destroy that career over a politically incorrect prescription. Andrea Salcedo, who to my great surprise has degrees in journalism, is a terrible writer.

For a very long time, based on a few short snippets of random videos that people outside and inside of the Capitol shot on January 6, conservatives have been arguing that significant numbers of the people who entered the Capitol that day did so because the Capitol Police let them in. Their presence there wasn’t an insurrection or even an unauthorized trespass—they had a right to be there once the “guardians” of the Capitol opened the door. Now, the official video from the Capitol confirms that those snippets were accurate. January 6 defendants and conservative media outlets have been demanding for ten months

In my state of Colorado, the test positivity rate is almost 10 percent, with 1 in 48 infected and if the current trend continues, this will be the worst COVID spike the state has seen. On the surface, that doesn’t make sense, since nearly 80 percent of eligible Coloradans have received at least one vaccine dose, suggesting the vaccines are not working as well as they should or as advertised

WASHINGTON — Pete Buttigieg, the transportation secretary who holds the purse strings to much of President Joe Biden’s $1 trillion infrastructure package, was holding forth with reporters on its impact — the promise of more electric cars, intercity train routes, bigger airports — when a pointed question came. How would he go about building racial equity into infrastructure? The 39-year-old former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate laid out his argument that highway design can reflect racism, noting that at least $1 billion in the bill will help reconnect cities and neighborhoods that had been racially segregated or divided by road projects. CORRECTIONS*
