Until recently, conservatives were the party of business. They defended the business world not as a necessary evil or because of its efficiencies, but because they thought it exemplified an enterprising, individualist morality. It respected rights of contract, served as an arena for creativity, and allowed socially useful competition. Even now, Republicans condemn the Left’s programs as creeping socialism, seemingly forgetful of the last decade in which corporations became the vanguard of the cultural revolution.

The business CEO's have stabbed their customers in the back. The CEO's have embraced the Marxists and Communists, lecturing and threatening ordinary Americans and consumers. It is a huge betrayal, and I hope they pay for it.

The pencil pushers think they are in charge until their toilet won't flush or the TV 'doesn't work' at which point the whining gets unbearable. Henry Ford famously said, 'I don't need brains, I can hire brains.' Sure thing Hank, until you can't.

Probably one of the biggest differences between Atlas Shrugged and what we are seeing today is how much Corporate America has thrown in with the lefty government. Wonder how much it has to do with a private business versus a public business with a CEO appointed by a Board of Directors? Name anyone in the corporate world besides Trump that seems concerned about the direction of our country.

It is very apparent to any white male that they are buried under gender and racial politics. As they say, minds are a terrible thing to waste...unless it's white male minds. This is "punishment" in lieu of reparations for all that privilege.

Any business that forces its employees to get that accursed shot deserves to fail. I hope all their officers end up living under a bridge, that their kids have to go to public school and that they are afflicted with honesty forever.

John Galt's speech is filled with a great deal of meaning, but in some ways, it's a shame that Rand didn't have a good editor to force her to cut that by 2/3. Far too long and repetitive, even though it is right. A favored quote from Galt's speech: "Just as I support my life, neither by robbery nor alms, but by my own effort, so I do not seek to derive my happiness from the injury or the favor of others, but earn it by my own achievement. Just as I do not consider the pleasure of others as the goal of my life, so I do not consider my pleasure as the goal of the lives of others." This fits me very well. And the author is right, just like Mike Rowe has said dozens of times on "Dirty Jobs" and in his work since, the skilled workers doing often unthanked and unappreciated jobs are who makes this country really function. And threatening thousands and tens of thousands of critical workers with firing for not getting a dangerous, poorly tested "vaccine" to protect them from a disease which kills perhaps 2 or 3 in 10,000 who get it, and only 1 or 2 in 5 will likely even get it......is literally irrational. And many of us see that clearly, and won't buy into this foolish, dysfunctional "game". Can the disease be more dangerous to the sick, frail and elderly? Yes, but let THEM choose for themselves what they want to do.

"The first method for estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him." —Niccolò Machiavelli, The Prince Not all of them, but those who are constantly in our faces certainly are thugs. Schumer, Pelosi, the Clintons, the Obamas, A.G. Garland, CNN commentators, MSNBC, ABC, CBS and NBC, the execrable Terry McAuliffe, and of course Joe Biden. Thugs all. Not one of them can utter a word without revealing his contempt for the American people. "Deplorable" was Hillary's preferred term for those of us who don't submit to the left's socialist schemes.

Does Alec Baldwin Deserve Decency? 35 replies

It was probably the worst day of Alec Baldwin's life when he accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie "Rust" on Oct. 21. It's a time to feel terrible about a 42-year-old woman with a husband and a young son. Then, CNN's Jake Tapper used it in one of his commentaries to denounce the entire Republican Party for making this tragedy an occasion for jokes. "There's something about our politics right now that is driving people away from our shared humanity."

Alan Dershowitz, an emeritus law professor at Harvard, is one of the greatest legal minds of our time, writing multiple books and publishing hundreds of articles about the law. He has been defending clients in courtrooms since the 1970s and argued numerous cases before the Supreme Court. He was also on the team that defended Donald Trump against impeachment. Alan Dershowitz believes that Alec Baldwin’s shooting of Halyna Hutchins could be considered a homicide. Gun safety protocols are so stringent that an accident of this kind is almost impossible.

For four continuous years, Alec Baldwin maliciously caricatured President Trump in numerous ‘comedy’ sketches on Saturday Night Live. The cycle worked as follows: The ‘brains’ in Washington contrived a scandal or outrage for that week, often related to the phony Russian Collusion narrative that loomed over Trump’s 4-year term. The figurative rifles were fired resting on the shoulders of shady lawyers, porn stars, dismissed or disgruntled personnel, anonymous ‘insiders’ and ‘leakers’.

A lot of people are angry that more doctors aren’t prescribing ivermectin when they first get diagnosed with COVID. However, a Washington State physician assistant lost his license because he prescribed ivermectin. Most doctors, having invested years upwards of seven years of their lives in preparing to be a physician, don’t want to destroy that career over a politically incorrect prescription. Andrea Salcedo, who to my great surprise has degrees in journalism, is a terrible writer.

For a very long time, based on a few short snippets of random videos that people outside and inside of the Capitol shot on January 6, conservatives have been arguing that significant numbers of the people who entered the Capitol that day did so because the Capitol Police let them in. Their presence there wasn’t an insurrection or even an unauthorized trespass—they had a right to be there once the “guardians” of the Capitol opened the door. Now, the official video from the Capitol confirms that those snippets were accurate. January 6 defendants and conservative media outlets have been demanding for ten months

Jon Gruden is a dinosaur. The heretofore Raiders coach is very old school, unrepentant, and of the toxic masculinity persuasion, no less. As was swiftly evidenced, the world today has no place for such creatures. He is another speed bump on the road to a sorry gray future of banal mediocrity called erroneously “equity,” since mere equality falls so, far, far short of what we can stoop to achieve with just a little more force.

Only a little more than half of the current world's 7 billion people are citizens of fully consensual governments. That lucky 50 percent alone enjoys constitutionally protected freedoms. Most are also Western. Or at least they reside in nations that have become "Westernized." Migrants, regardless of their race, religion or gender, almost always head for a Western nation. And most often their destination remains the United States. The more it is now fashionable for Americans to take for granted or even to ridicule the idea of their own country, the more the non-American global poor risk their lives to crash America's borders.

NEW YORK — Health officials on Friday offered more evidence that vaccinations offer better protection against COVID-19 than immunity from a prior infection. Unvaccinated people who had been infected months earlier were 5 times more likely to get COVID-19 than fully vaccinated people who didn’t have a prior infection, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concluded in a new study. “These data show, pretty strongly, that the vaccines are more protective against symptomatic COVID,” said Dr. Mike Saag, an infectious disease expert at the University of Alabama.
