So . . . black walnut, black gum, black cherry, black alder, black oak, black locust, black ash, black willow = good, progressive trees. White oak, white pine, white birch, white ash, white mulberry, white poplar (a.k.a. alamo blanco), white fir, white spruce = inherently racist trees who all had ancestors that owned slave trees? So where does the china berry, Mexican plum, South African wild pear, Sidney blue gum, red pine, Japanese maple, African juniper, and how about the Ndola Slave Tree in modern-day Zambia, where the Swahili slave traders met to sell their slave captives to the Arab slave traders? BTW - slavery wasn't outlawed in Zambia until about 50 years after it was outlawed in the U.S.

Also she would know that since at least the 70's EVERY town of any size, but particularly larger cities have spend $Billions, planting, maintaining and overseeing EVERY tree on public land and often on private land as well. They already have a list and location of EVERY tree in every place. It ain't "NASA's Job" It also isn't the VP's job.

A few years ago, some spirited leftwing dimwit of Kamala's stripe here in New York City protested that "black and brown" neighborhoods of the City were "park-and-tree deprived," and needed greening. It was then pointed out to this loud illiterate that the Bronx -- poorest borough of NYC, and poorest county I the United States -- has more parks and greenery than any other borough In the City, including affluent Manhattan. Someone should also point out to idiot Kamala that dreaded CO2,the product of burning carbon, is PLANT FOOD on which trees survive. She should go back to whoring, at which she apparently displayed great talent.

In the 1950's Los Angeles County planted thousands of trees on those "devil's strips," not owned by households, but cities. In white neighborhoods, like where I grew up, people watered those trees and they thrived. In Watts, which I bicycled into all the time, those same trees died because the homeowners never watered them. Does that make the lack of trees in Watts years later, "racist?" The County TRIED.

A senior at the elite private Horace Mann School, Finlay last week published a pointed but measured essay describing the aggressive political bias that’s dominated his education on the Bronx campus, where generations of famous and well-connected New Yorkers, from Jack Kerouac to Eliot Spitzer, have matriculated or sent their children. Faculty “feel obligated to open students’ eyes to the inequality that surrounds them,” Finlay explained, but that takes the form of “continuous pressure in the classroom to embrace visions of wholesale societal reform.”

There’s a tendency to ask, “What is the government doing?” when things are messed up. But as Ronald Reagan schooled us, the nine worst words in the English language are: “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” Beyond that, this is not the nature of our government. We’re not a dictatorship. We don’t have a king who operates by fiat. At least we’re not supposed to. The government isn’t our daddy who tells us what to do. But the more power we allow the government to have, the more those in government will take.
