The CDC has issued bizarre guidance telling Americans infected with monkeypox to have sex by masturbating at least six feet away from their partner, among other recommendations. Guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says anyone who has the disease must not have sex. But for those who ignore the advice, the agency has published an unusual list of the dos and donts under the bedsheets. Among its tips was also to have sex while still fully-clothed, to ensure all rashes are covered and even to avoid kissing.(Snip)The British Columbia Center for Disease Control said people should 'use barriers, like walls (e.g. glory holes)

Comments:

Monkeypox is an affliction of Gay Men who have sex in public toilets and the like, and yet the only couples shown in the CDC infographic are of mixed sex (and race). For shame, CDC; this is Pride Month. Consider too the work being done by very highly paid government employees at a time when the rest of us worry about the future because the government spends too much money.

Funny how they had no trouble telling all of us we couldn't go to work, church, concerts, movies, bars, gyms, school, etc. because....COVID... but they would never dream of telling perverts to lay-off having promiscuous sex with strangers to avoid Monkey Pox. Just like AIDS, their filthy promiscuous activities have taken an otherwise obscure tropical illness and spread it all over the world.

Strange. I don't recall similar advice in the 1980s and 90s regarding AIDS. Nope. What we got then was, "AIDS. The disease that doesn't discriminate!" And a warning from Oprah that AIDS was going to cross over to heterosexuals. Statistically, that never happened.

Slavery Remembrance is a commemoration of slavery itself and it will help us to make sure that we don’t see it sanitized. This is the moment Extinction Rebellion activists were forcibly removed by furious Italian motorists after they blocked a busy motorway in Rome on Thursday. Demonstrating over environmental issues, the protesters sat in a row across Rome's Raccordo—the city's main ring-road and one of its busiest—holding banners. A video shot from the side of the two-lane road showed the demonstrators using road-block protest tactics also used in Britain, causing a huge traffic jam to snake back as far as the eye could see, with no police officers or vehicles in sight. In response, irate Italian motorists at the front of the queue jumped out of their vehicles

The Iowa Supreme Court on Friday cleared the way for lawmakers to severely limit or even ban abortion in the state, reversing a decision by the court just four years ago that guaranteed the right to the procedure under the Iowa Constitution. The court, now composed almost entirely of Republican appointees, concluded that a less conservative court wrongly decided that abortion is among the fundamental privacy rights guaranteed by the Iowa Constitution and federal law. Friday's ruling comes amid expectations that the Supreme Court will overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion nationwide. Then Iowa lawmakers could ban abortion in the state without completing the lengthy process

The country’s eyes are trained on high-profile massacres in Texas and Buffalo, but most mass shootings bear little resemblance to those. Of 267 incidents this year classified as mass shootings by the Gun Violence Archive, nearly all can be tied to gang beefs, neighborhood arguments, robberies or domestic incidents that spiraled out of control. Indiscriminate slaughter by a lone gunman blasting away at a store, school or some other public place is rare, according to a Washington Times analysis of the archive’s data, accounting for less than 4% of the total.(Snip)Many, particularly those on the streets or that stem from gang issues, involve multiple shooters spraying bullets.
