A new photo shows Mike Pence and his family hiding in a Senate office just minutes after he was evacuated on January 6 as a mob stormed the Capitol. The image taken by a White House photographer and published Wednesday night by ABC portrays the Vice President, second lady Karen, his daughter Charlotte and his Republican Congressman Greg sitting and waiting as the chaos unfolded. Karen is seen closing the curtains so rioters couldn't see inside while the vice president, Charlotte and Greg sit and wait on chairs. In the hours before, Greg Pence had voted against certifying Joe Biden's election win and Trump supporters were heard chanting 'hang Mike Pence'.

They look really terrified. Not. If he was in great danger, why not whisk him away to an area with no windows? Is this Pence's attempt to garner sympathy ahead of his attempt to run for POTUS in 2024?🙄

Since we’re all suffering as a result of Biden’s presidency it’s hard to feel sorry for a man, a Washington insider, who may have conceded the country to its enemies out of cowardice or betrayal. But I wonder: why is this information being shared now?

Pence is a wimpy establishment Republican. If the Republican Party is stupid enough to nominate him as the Republican Presidential candidate leading up to the 2024 General Election, the aggressive leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats will stomp Pence into the gutter immediately if not sooner!

Oh, pleasr. The only ones in danger were Ashli Babbitt, shot to death by Micfhael Byrd, a senior Capitol Police lieutenant, for looking (not crawling) through a broken glass door pane, and the poor woman beaten to death by a female CP officer while she lay on the floor of a tunnel.

"Hiding" is a charged term. Waiting in a secure environment for the situation to be resolved is not the same. Earlier in my life, I spent 20 years in public office. Once I told my staff to lock the doors to our department because a lone gunman on our floor had killed someone down the hall. We instructed others who had a business with me that day to remain with us. The murder turned out to be a personal dispute, not someone "going postal." When law enforcement engages with violators, the last thing it needs is the presence of innocent bystanders, let alone "high value" targets for hostage-taking.

Oh good grief. Stop with the drama. When you have the Capitol Police opening doors to let people in and most of those people are wandering around staring at the beauty of the Capitol building (and staying between the velvet ropes), there’s no danger. The whole thing was blown way out of proportion.

Poor Mike Pence, sat comfortably in his chair, chatting with his family, surrounded by dozens of armed security, and bullet proof armored cars available to leave the scene. How frightening this must have been for him. I don't see Mike Pence doing anything, which is what he does. Pence can take Marc Short and find a career some place else. I reject both these men.

Ah, hindsight! I remember during the 2016 campaign the attacks on Pence's rule to not be seen in public with a woman without his wife present. It sparked a lot of anti-Christian bigotry with the crazies. In one report about Pence's faith, I learned that he had been raised Roman Catholic but went Evangelical when he married his Karen. At the time my Catholic heart felt the pang of betrayal by a fellow Catholic, and briefly felt him cowardly not to continue in his faith while still supporting his wife's. The moment passed and I was just glad that he was not ashamed to practice his Christian beliefs in public. There was another moment that caused me to twinge during the 2020 campaign. I watched the Vice-President's evening speech from Fort McHenry just days before the election. I picked up a strange vibe from President Trump's demeanor, but I discounted it as the man being tired. Pence gave an OK speech. I listened intently, but never felt inspired or fired-up. I was disappointed. I saw no heir to Trump or the MAGA movement. Now hindsight has cleared away my earthly confusion and clarified what my soul saw as reality. Judas Pence doesn't even deserve the designation of Judas. At least Christ's betrayer removed himself from further action in the world. Of course, I don't wish suicide on the man or any of God's children, I just want him to go away. I'll leave his punishment to Our Lord.

I am disheartened by all the hatred directed against Mike Pence on this board. The election theft was in the bag before Pence went to the Hill on January 6. Those who believe that he could have kick started some last minute turnaround are delusional. And Pence never betrayed Trump. As far as we know he never promised the president that he would decline to include certain states' electors in the count. And # 28 - it's good to know that you are content to leave Pence's "punishment" to God. Very gracious of you.

After Trump won the Republican Primary Elections he was essentially a one man show, who to fill all his executive positions, from Vice-President on down, relied on recommendations from career establishment Republican politicians and operatives who he did not know very well, many who turned out to be complete RINOS, or just wimpy Republicans, who did not have any use for or support Trump’s “Make America Great Again” policies that they feared would kick over their financial and political “apple carts”. If Trump is re-elected in 2024 you can bet your boots that Trump will limit such important advice on personal appointments to people who he is sure that he can trust.

When will they ever learn? Apparently not any time soon. Once again, progressive Democrats have lured weak-kneed Senate Republicans – apparently eager for ‘approval’ from people and organizations who will, in truth, never give it to them – to cross over to the dark side in a gun control bill. These ten sell-outs – nearly half of whom having already announced they’re not running for re-election in 2022 – have signed on with Senate Democrats, to pull together what the Democrats love to misleadingly label as “commonsense gun laws,” as reported in the Washington Post. These senators have been urged on by New York senator and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday condemned the work of the January 6 committee and demanded he get equal TV time to set out his case of massive election voter fraud. Television networks as well as cable news channels and online carriers broadcast the third public hearing of the investigation into the attack on the U.S. Capitol last year, as members set out how Trump pressured Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the 2020 results. The first hearing, last week, was held in prime time as the committee tried to get the biggest possible audience for its work.

Ryan Finlay is a brave young man. A senior at the elite private Horace Mann School, Finlay last week published a pointed but measured essay describing the aggressive political bias that’s dominated his education on the Bronx campus, where generations of famous and well-connected New Yorkers, from Jack Kerouac to Eliot Spitzer, have matriculated or sent their children. Faculty “feel obligated to open students’ eyes to the inequality that surrounds them,” Finlay explained, but that takes the form of “continuous pressure in the classroom to embrace visions of wholesale societal reform.”

There’s a tendency to ask, “What is the government doing?” when things are messed up. But as Ronald Reagan schooled us, the nine worst words in the English language are: “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” Beyond that, this is not the nature of our government. We’re not a dictatorship. We don’t have a king who operates by fiat. At least we’re not supposed to. The government isn’t our daddy who tells us what to do. But the more power we allow the government to have, the more those in government will take.

Republican Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker acknowledged Thursday he has two more children the public doesn’t know about—just one day after it was revealed he has a “secret” 10-year-old son. Walker, 60, confirmed to the Daily Beast that he has a total of four children—three sons and a daughter. Until this week, the ex-NFL star had only publicly spoken about one of them—his 22-year-old son, Christian Walker. In addition to the 10-year-old son, whom he has not played an active role in raising, Walker has a 13-year-old boy and an adult daughter who was born when

Lightyear star Chris Evans called critics of the movie’s gay kiss “idiots,” adding, “those people” are going to “die off like dinosaurs.” The Disney-Pixar animated children’s movie has been banned in Middle Eastern countries, such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), over a scene featuring a kiss between two female characters. “The real truth is those people are idiots,” Evans told Reuters. “There’s always going to be people who are afraid and unaware and trying to hold on to what was before. But those people die off like dinosaurs.” “I think the goal is to pay them no mind, march forward and embrace the growth that makes us human,” the actor added.

Joe Biden, as his party propaganda and media enablers say, is a man of compassion. And he's now loaded with such compassion with remarks like this, addressing his own unpopularity with the American people. (Snip for tweet) Heres what he actually told the Associated Press in his interview with them: AP: What’s that paradox? BIDEN: Well, I think the paradox is, part of it is, I think what, the failure of the last administration to act on COVID had a profound impact on the number of people who got COVID and the number of people who died. Panel Chair Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) and Vice Chair Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) agreed Thursday that the committee needed to delve into Thomas’ role. Thompson’s comments and Cheney’s agreement — confirmed to POLITICO by an aide — coincided with news reports suggesting Thomas had been in touch with at least one key architect of Trump’s bid to cling to power: Attorney John Eastman. “At this point, the information we have come upon

A Catholic private school in Massachusetts has been excommunicated by a local bishop after ignoring orders to remove pride and BLM flags. The Nativity School of Worcester has been sanctioned by Robert J. McManus, the Bishop of the Diocese of Worcester, for their refusal to take them down. He says the facility - the only tuition-free private school in the region - cannot continue to call itself Catholic while flying in the face of key church teachings. The school, run by Principal Emily Kent is the only tuition-free private middle school in the region and serves about 60 students.
