The Definitive Debunking of the Gun Control
Movement’s Lies

Last month, columnist David Frum penned a piece for The Atlantic that revealed he knows as much about firearms as Michael Moore does about dieting. In his article, “Responsible Gun Ownership Is a Lie,” he argues that Americans are better off with strict gun control designed to make it more difficult for people to own firearms. Frum makes most of the usual anti-Second Amendment arguments in his piece, deceptively claiming that lax gun control laws make people less safe. But, as with most of his anti-gun comrades, Frum fails to make a compelling case.

Just like Alec Baldwin claiming the film industry needs more stringent gun-safety rules, the Left continues to ignore widespread infractions of those already in place. Rule #1: Keep guns away from liberals!

Probably better off directing your dollars to Gun Owners of America, OP. NRA is still run by feckless coward Wayne LaPierre who somehow was re-elected to another term. Most money that goes to NRA these days ends up being spent on his lavish lifestyle and his champagne tastes, rather than fighting for our rights. Believe me, as an NRA Benefactor member for more than a decade, it pains me to say these things. LaPierre sucks. Most of the hardcore 2A type that sat on the board have left over the years while WLP has run NRA into the ground, leaving it vulnerable to attacks by assclowns like Letetia James in NY. In yet another NRA scandal, they just got hit with a ransomware attack and are busying trying to figure out how to deal with that.

Guns prevent far, far more harm than they cause in the USA. Crime has uniformly decreased in ALL states where concealed carry rules were improved to make it easier for honest citizens to be armed for their own defense. Hard fact. Read "More Guns, Less Crime" by John Lott. It's a carefully researched look at all of the counties in the country, compared before and after improved laws. Prof. Gary Kleck a criminologist researcher at Florida State University has studied defensive gun used in the USA for many decades. His work is very careful and scholarly, and he has written many papers on this topic. Many times he has been attacked by ignorant antigun fools like Frum, and Prof. Kleck has always shown his raw data, his methodology and has been willing to do any legitimate "controls" for various factors that the antigun folks say that he "didn't control for". NOTHING has ever made a significant difference in the basic fact that from a low of about 500,000 up to 2 million plus times PER YEAR a handgun is used by an American to protect themselves from violent attack. The results are repeated regularly, and always are the same. In 90% of cases, the presence of the gun is enough to end the confrontation, and no shots are fired, and in a huge number, no police report is filed. I have been told of several of these events by friends and co-workers over the years where a person was threatened, showed a handgun and the threat ended immediately and the threatening person(s) ran or drove away, never to be seen again. I know of two suicides by handgun, including one much beloved former sheriff of our county, who worked for years as the chief armorer for the police in my city after retiring as sheriff. He was elderly had lost one foot to diabetes, had poor results with a prosthesis, and was about to lose his other foot. He shot himself rather than live 100% dependent on a wheel chair and I have been told felt he would be a burden on his wife. Others saw it differently, but he decided his own fate. It's part of freedom, unfortunately. It includes the freedom to end your life. And a gun isn't required.

Its the communist left who are dangerous with guns. They are usually inept in their care and use, and unable to control their emotions. The two together are a dangerous combination.

If Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) thought they had Sen. While some on the left don’t seem to have learned the lessons that Tuesday brought, Manchin was always one-up on them and now he’s more assured than ever on his stand, as he told Fox’s Bret Baier. “I hope it’s a wake-up call for all of us,” he said. Lifeline is a federal program originally intended to provide low-income people with a free landline phone. Sensing a chance to get more poor people to vote for them, Democrats expanded the program to include free cell phones. To maximize the number of subsidized cell phone recipients, “free phone” vans patrol low-income areas of every Democrat-run city in America, a practice that has resulted in massive fraud. The “free phones” van pictured above set up shop on a street in a predominately African American area of Baltimore.

First things first. National Review Editor Rich Lowry is not a “die-hard” Trump fan. We’ll offer several examples later in the article — but let’s first get to the business at hand. As Lowry sees it, it’s a fool’s game to overestimate Trump’s dominance of the Republican Party this far in advance of the 2024 election. Lowry writes, in an op-ed posted by The New York Post on Friday, that Republican politicians who think the Republican Party belongs to Trump can be forgiven, given that he not only survived two impeachments and the January 6 attack against the U.S. Capitol; he has since continued to thrive.

Hundreds of Boeing employees, braving the rain in Everett, Washington, came out on Saturday to protest the company’s vaccine requirement. Boeing has imposed the requirement because, as they are federal contractors, Joe Biden has demanded as part of his vaccine mandate executive order that federal contractors comply by Dec. 8. The employees have until that date to get vaccinated or lose their jobs. The crowd of protesters was a raucous one, not afraid to express their opinion, waving Gadsden flags and raising signs reading: “My body, my choice” and “F Joe Biden,” with some of them saying they would rather quit than comply.

The “F Joe Biden” movement has become a national movement, showing up from college football games to protest marches, making it to concerts and onto live television. It’s even become so popular, it produced its own spin-off chant — Let’s go, Brandon — in part because of the refusal of an NBC reporter to acknowledge that the crowd in the stands were actually shouting “F**k Joe Biden.” When the chant broke out while Kelli Stavast was interviewing the winner of that day’s NASCAR race, Brandon Brown, Stavast claimed they were saying, “Let’s go, Brandon.” A meme was born, perfectly encapsulating not only the disgust with Joe Biden

Attorney General Merrick Garland made a stunning announcement about having the FBI and U.S. Attorneys’ Offices coordinate with federal, state, and local law enforcement to deal with “threats” of violence against school boards and people working in schools. This immediately prompted cries from critics that Garland was trying to suppress people objecting to pandemic restrictions and CRT — two of the hot button issues that have caused many people to come out and object at school board meetings. While Garland spoke about “threats,” he didn’t identify any threats or concerns which would qualify as federal criminal action requiring such interference in the parents’ rights to express themselves.

Last week, we reported on how the ACLU went full cringe in a tweet they posted where they altered a quote from the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg to eliminate all references to women. To quickly recap, Republicans and even some Democrats ripped the organization to shreds for posting a revised quote from the former Supreme Court associate justice and feminist icon on the one year anniversary of her death, a quote that was specifically about an issue that directly relates to women (abortion). As of this writing, the tweet is still up. Here’s how the ACLU changed a dead woman’s words to make them sound more gender-neutral, erasing women in the process.
