Following an impromptu inspection of the D.C. jail, a federal judge has ordered the release of January 6 defendant, Christopher Worrell, over the mistreatment of detainees.
The surprise inspection of the jail by U.S. Marshals took place last month, but the report from the inspection was not made public until Wednesday.
Due to the findings, U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth said he has “‘zero confidence that the D.C. jail’ will provide the treatment correctly and not retaliate against Worrell,” who has cancer, CNN reported Wednesday.

Considering that ALL of them are being mistreated... Political prisoners, guilty of misdemeanors at the very worst, they ALL should be released.... All but the ANTIFA-FBI-Deep State instigators, that is...

I keep asking- What’s the matter with all the lawyers representing the 1/6 people imprisoned outrageously for most of the year for next to nothing??? And where is news coverage letting Americans know what’s really going on. A total miscarriage of justice and it seems our DOJ is worth less than a warm bucket or spit.

#10,
I think the proper title for the attorney general is:
"SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer Garland"
It's best we "toe-the-line" with the prescribed conventions;
you know how they are up there.

The Article includes:
“I don’t know if it’s because he’s a January 6th defendant or not, but I find this matter should be referred to the attorney general of the United States for a civil rights investigation into whether the D.C. Department of Corrections is violating the civil rights of January 6th defendants … in this and maybe other cases,” Lamberth said.
Judge Lamberth, appointed by Ronald Reagan, has been a great judge since 1987. It's been a disgrace that the abuse of the Jan 6 defendants has existed one single day after the abuse was first discovered, which was many months ago.
He also said: “It’s more than just inept and bureaucratic shuffling of papers,” Lamberth blasted. “Does no one care? Does no one follow up?”
He's 100% correct! Only a few Republican Senators and a few Republican Congressman has said a word about this national disgrace. These Jan. 6 detainees are political prisoners and very few people seem to give a damn, but this abuse could easily happen to each of us. It's far too similiar to 1933 Germany when residents of Germany remained silent and meekly allowed Nazis to abuse Jews, believing the abuse would never happen to them.

Here's the sad fact why the political prisoners on the "Right" are languishing: the majority of members of the Bar are flaming lefties who have little or no allegiance to the Constitution and have no desire to protect and defend the rights of any defendant, equally. This is especially true in such deeply leftist regions of the country as DC, and where a defendant is not in the "acceptable defendant" category.
Hubby is a member of the legal defense Bar in the northeast. I can tell you that on the local Bar news blogs there is no righteous indignation expressed for the 1/6/21 political prisoners (or any person or entity on the Conservative or LEO side of things). They have NO curiosity about or interest in the facts of 1/6 and instead abide by silly pontifications coming from biased and stupid pundits on MSNBC etc.
Add to this scenario what Durham is finally CONFIRMING which many of us here have known from real investigative journalists that Justice Department entities and agencies colluded with a Dem candidate to, first, bring the defeat of Donald Trump, and second, when he was elected, to bring about the ouster, the overthrow, of the duly elected President... an act of Sedition.
And we should note that this ordeal revealed the remarkably STABLE man our President Trump was, through years of torment of false accusations and betrayals and treacheries, and how much he was able to nevertheless accomplish for the benefit of the American people.
So, the Justice system is in deep doo-doo.
And this leads us back to the education system, all the way back to elementary school (and to infancy if the Dem/Left gets its way) has been utterly corrupted and deformed by the Left, the end goal being the overthrow of our Republic. Like termites which work undetected until the house begins to shudder and collapse, these leftists have been eating away at the Foundations, and our nation is in trouble.
More people are waking up. Virginia may be the proverbial shot-in-the-arm to stimulate parents out of their self-indulgent stupor to guard and protect their children and to re-energize their own patriotism.
"The price of Liberty is eternal vigilance." It will take this and more to bring education reform which will in the long run revive a legal system to be newly dedicated to the protection of the rights of all Citizens.
The matter is urgent.

I don't know who had the Temper Tantrum about the detainees being tortured, but I suspect it was the Grand Dame Pelosi, who determined to treat the Capital Hill tourists like she did the SOTU script of President Trump. Instead of scissors she had to make do with a uniformed flying monkeys patrol.

They say justice delayed is justice denied. In the case of the Jan 6 demonstrators this is painfully true. The treatment of these political prisoners has been deplorable. The abuses at the D.C. jail are more like Stalin's Russia than the United States. Calling the 6 hour demonstration on Jan 6 an insurrection is absurd. The vast majority of the demonstrators were not armed. Unheard of in the history of insurrections.

Nancy Pelosi has committed perjury and is guilty of false arrest for all of these detainees who were doing nothing but protesting the stolen election while hordes of blacks and antifa goons burned cities and looted high-end department stores. They are still out there doing their daily $1000 worth of shoplifting while real Americans sit in prison. Ashli Babbitt is still dead. Maintain the anger. FJB

We will be hearing from plenty of Republican congress people when time for their reelection rolls around. That will be the time to tell them to go pound sand and do not donate to any of them who lived the good life while innocent people languished in prison. Their job is to represent the people. How about the J6 prisoner at the DC jail, Ryan Samsel, who was brutally beaten by prison guards and lost and eye and suffered brain damage as a result of the beating. Why hasn't he been released. As well as the other prisoners who were dragged out of their cells in the dead of the night and beaten severely.
Have Nanie, Chuckie, the Shifter, biden the cheater, Kamalie, and aoc among others spend a night or two at the prison and try it out for size.

All of them should be released on bond. They aren't flight risks or dangers to the community. Most are only charged with misdemeanors. Judge Lamberth is a conservative judge. Why is he only doing the right thing now?

Why Judge Lamberth would you send to AG Garland, also known as accuser of parents as domestic terrorists, your report on the D.C. jail holding the J6 prisoners? You do remember that Garland is just a mouth piece for Obama/Biden/Susan Rice/Valeria Jarrett? And others of the 3rd Adm. of Obama? Their hatred of anything connected to President Trump is so deranged that it's in the mentally ill range. A 12 step recovery program for them would be useless. We would suggest Judge Lamberth try to go to someone on the Supreme Court that might care about Civil Rights for those J6 prisoners. GOD HELP THE U.S. IF THESE J6 PRISONERS AREN'T RELEASED SOON. GOD HATES injustice and evil. There is a Day of Reckoning is coming soon. PRAY!

While I agree with the sentiments and frustrations here, we must be slow and patient. The only way that our efforts to get ALL of the peps in jail is to slowly chip away at the lower levels.
Start with the DC Jailers, who obviously know a lot of facts.Burn them if you can, and them move up. Each level will dump on the next. No home-runs just lots of serious convictions. Conspiracies should be taxed on to all charges. There's way more of us to raise money to hire the best "Friends of the Court" lawyers.

Supposedly Reps. Gohmert and Taylor-Greene were finally supposed to have been allowed in last night to see and talk to the prisoners. They had been turned away for months. I haven't heard what came of it yet. However, that surprise Marshall visit was still fooled by the jail staff. Apparently, the staff scrambled at the last minute and showed the Marshall those who already had been to court (who had been held in better conditions) first, while a truckload of employees went to where the pre-trial folks were held and did a quick emergency massive cleanup and scrubbing before being inspected. So, the Marshall said the people in the first place they saw should be moved because conditions were deplorable. After seeing the quickly cleaned up section, the Marshall said it wasn't much better but it was ok enough that they didn't need to be moved. They were fooled by the rotten jail staff. If anyone should have moved it was those who had not been ro court yet.
