Washington — A revamped bill aimed at strengthen voting rights and overhauling the nation's election systems failed to advance in the Senate on Wednesday, as Democrats couldn't overcome unanimous opposition from Republicans who criticized the bill as federal overreach. The procedural vote to begin debate on the Freedom to Vote Act was 49 in favor to 51 against, far short of the 60 votes needed to advance the measure. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer changed his vote to "no" as a procedural maneuver that allows him to bring the bill to the floor again. All 50 Republicans voted against advancing to debate.

I think most Democrats in the House are aware that they are NOT going to be in power after the 2022 election. Therefore, they probably don't want to do away with the Filibuster at at time when Republicans will thank them for handing over that kind of power! They're kind of in a Pickle! Chuckie can bring up the Bill at a later date, but I'm guessing NO Republicans will have changed their mind. Too close to THEIR re-election!

This is not about voting rights. This is about POWER. The Dimocraps want to cheat. They want to count ballots, not votes. They do not care for or about the people. They care about being Masters of the Universe. Why worry about votes when you control the ballots? You can print up as many ballots as you need, then give them to Dominion and Smartmatic. Presto. You win. All the time.

All 50 Republicans and 1 Independent, Rep. King from Maine. No need for any Federal takeover of the elections, just a cleaning up of the voter registration rolls, and strong chain of custody rules, particularly for all drop-box locations. Just those two items could have a huge impact. Then, make sure all counting locations are swept for any "additional" boxes or backpacks. Ensure all electricity is turned off if there is a "stop" in the counting, or other emergency that requires "clearing" the room. Never leave a counting room until everyone has departed and the doors firmly locked, but leaving cameras on to record anything that may happen during the down time.

On August 24, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin issued a memo to senior Pentagon leadership announcing that he was implementing a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all military service members. The day before, the FDA had issued full authorization to Pfizer for their Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine product(snip). At first glance it would seem that the mandatory vaccination policy, while scientifically unsound and strategically foolish, was at least a policy being implemented according to both the letter of the directive and in accordance with the law. But a further examination of the facts(snip)makes clear that the military’s implementation of this order is illegal and highly unethical.

But their recollections of key moments during these critical days — according to their family attorney — have been inconsistent or conflicted with law enforcement authorities’ version of events.(snip) from September 13 to 17. Sometimes even New York Times columnists tell the truth. For instance, a recent article by Jennifer Finney Boylan was headlined “Abortion Rights and Trans Rights Are Two Sides of the Same Coin.” Yes, and the coin is currency from Hell. Although there are abortion supporters who oppose transgenderism and vice versa, Boylan is correct that the justifications for abortion and transgenderism share most of their ideological DNA. Both are rooted in hatred for the givenness of human embodiment and its limitations. Both should be rejected in favor of something better. Boylan, who identifies as transgender, objects to giving “the state the right to limit what you can or cannot do with your

Preliminarily, it is tragic that 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins, a rising cinematographer in Hollywood, died yesterday on the set of Rust, a movie being filmed in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My thoughts are with the loved ones she left behind. Having said that, I cannot escape a feeling that karma had a hand in this one because the finger on the trigger of the gun that killed Hutchins belonged to Alec Baldwin, a hysterical leftist who is fanatically opposed to the Second Amendment. To give a sense of Baldwin’s hostility to gun rights, in 2018, the smug and constitutionally illiterate Baldwin had some harsh words for Dana Loesch, an NRA spokeswoman

Deaths due to causes unrelated to the virus were up to three times more likely in unvaccinated people than those who got either the Pfizer or Moderna Covid vaccines. And non-COVID-19 fatalities were nearly twice as likely among Americans who were not jabbed compared to those who received the one-shot

First things first. National Review Editor Rich Lowry is not a “die-hard” Trump fan. We’ll offer several examples later in the article — but let’s first get to the business at hand. As Lowry sees it, it’s a fool’s game to overestimate Trump’s dominance of the Republican Party this far in advance of the 2024 election. Lowry writes, in an op-ed posted by The New York Post on Friday, that Republican politicians who think the Republican Party belongs to Trump can be forgiven, given that he not only survived two impeachments and the January 6 attack against the U.S. Capitol; he has since continued to thrive.

Let’s start with the creepiness and the incoherence. Here’s Joe Biden claiming that top corporations “don’t pay a cent” in taxes with that creepy stage whisper voice.
