Recently on the America Moment podcast, Michael Anton named names regarding Conservatism, Inc. The wide-ranging interview goes on for over an hour and a half, but the best clip is here in which Anton says, Now I’ll name names. If you’re at National Review, AEI or Heritage Foundation, your job is to pretend to oppose but really support; your whole business model as staff and management collapses if you don’t do that. It’s an open question why the donors donate to these places. I actually believe they’re deceiving their donors for the most part; that is I’d like to believe most donors to Conservatism, Inc. I’ve been watching this play out for YEARS. Same letters. Same sentence structures. Same type font, complete with same method of underlining. Same salicious phrases. Same use of recipient name throughout. Same doom and gloom message. I suspect my mom is on 75-100 different mailing lists. I am now writing “Return to Sender” and hopefully start eliminating the pile of trees in my mailbox every day. I just wish Ned had written this 15 years ago.

Ever since the 2020 election, I've been taking the post-paid envelopes from these organizations, packing them full of cut up catalogs and sending them back. On a good day, Zephyrman can get a pound of paper stuffed in them. The only one I supported was the Heritage Foundation, but never with much money. I've stopped completely now. The same goes for the NRC, the NRCC, the NRSC, and any organization with "Republican" in the name. I'm also slowly winnowing out all the begging emails from various faux conservative politicians. I'm done with liars.

They are only different as a matter of degree. Even if the election next year is fair (and thats a stretch), we will simply be choosing our own mugger. Nevertheless, we are living through and battling pure evil right now. No time to battle partial evil.

There is no UNIPARTY. There is no UNIPARTY. There is no UNIPARTY... What Ryun wrote is right on...and the suckers just won't believe it. Politics is a huge industry that churns billions using conflict and false premises to drive collections. They're like "charities" who spend 90% of their funds on administration and promotion...many of them "big names" and still part of the annual drive so many companies and the government push each year.

Is Terry McAuliffe ‘losing it’? 7 replies

Is Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe really “losing it”? Last week, McAuliffe snapped at a tracker who asked him if he really believes that parents shouldn’t have a say in their children’s education, demanding to know if the tracker is vaccinated and questioning why he wasn’t wearing a mask. It was a bizarre exchange and suggested the stress of the campaign may be getting to McAuliffe. His Republican challenger, Glenn Youngkin, responded to this revealing moment during a radio interview with Larry O’Connor and me on WMAL last week.

President Joe Biden said Thursday that first responders and police officers who refuse vaccine mandates should be forced to remain at home or be fired.Biden issued vaccine mandates or weekly testing for private companies with 100 or more employees in early September. The president also announced a stricter vaccine requirement for federal workers and contractors in September that limited the loophole for unvaccinated individuals.Other mandates have been put in place across the country by cities. Police officers and first responders across the country – including in places like Chicago and Washington – have voiced opposition to the mandates, with some leaving the job over it.

A creeping sense of worry among Democrats about the Virginia governor's race spilled into the open on Wednesday, after the release of a new Monmouth University poll showing former Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe deadlocked with Republican Glenn Youngkin less than two weeks before Election Day. And the panic may be a good thing, some of them say.The Monmouth poll was the latest in a series of data points to increase concern about McAuliffe's prospects. While other recent polls in Virginia have shown McAuliffe staked to narrow leads, President Joe Biden's national ratings have slid into majority disapproval

Now that human remains have been found alongside Brian Laundrie's backpack and notebook in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park, attention is shifting to his parents' actions following Gabby Petito's homicide and their son's subsequent disappearance. Chris and Roberta Laundrie left their North Port home early Wednesday to search in Myakkahatchee, which sits alongside the T. Mabry Carlton Jr. Memorial Reserve. While they were there, "some articles belonging to Brian were found," according to the family's attorney, Steven Bertolino. Michael McPherson, special agent in charge of the FBI's Tampa division, later confirmed that human remains were found in an area that had been underwater until recently.

We’re still a long ways away from the double-digit inflation of the early 1980s. However, while prices of specific things like healthcare, college, or gas have been political hot-buttons from time to time, the issue of inflation writ-large has barely registered as a major issue during my lifetime. This makes it notable that inflation is emerging as a key worry for voters and that many are tying the inflation specifically to Democratic policies. The Biden administration is struggling with voters as of late, and disappointment in the state of the economy is a major piece of this dynamic.
It’s not just McAuliffe vs. Youngkin.

Alex Askew knows firsthand how tight elections can get for Democrats in Virginia. He barely won his seat in the state House of Delegates, defeating his Republican opponent by just 802 votes in 2019. That’s why Askew is campaigning furiously ahead of the November election. On the first Sunday of “Souls to the Polls” early voting over the weekend, Askew, 36, attended two church services before an afternoon of campaign events and canvassing. He was joined by a colleague, state Del. Nancy Guy, who clinched her seat by an even closer margin of just 40 votes.

Usually, when Washington is at a decisive consensus that one party is in disarray — that its next election cycle will be messy, that its wings can’t agree, that voters aren’t convinced by its standard bearer — its candidates follow a simple formula: Ditch the national party and focus instead on local issues. But with three weeks until Virginia votes for its next governor, the electoral equation has been scrambled. From Richmond to Virginia Beach, it is Democrats who are working to nationalize the campaign despite President Biden’s dipping approval ratings and Republican optimism about next year’s midterms, a move Biden’s White House has dialed into in recent weeks, CORRECTIONS*

According to the Democratic Party, the corporate media, and some ostensibly nonpartisan think tanks, vote fraud is nonexistent in the United States. Last year, during the post-election controversy caused by the unique vote counting practices adopted by certain swing states, the New York Times summed up the conventional wisdom, “Claims of voter fraud are common. It’s the fraud that’s rare.” It must, therefore, have been vexing for the editors of the Gray Lady to run the following headline last Monday: “Election Workers in Georgia Are Fired for Shredding Voter Registration Forms.” The fired workers had been employed by Fulton County, where questionable election night conduct attracted nationwide attention in 2020.

Anti-carbon Democrats don’t learn: They continue to push to close pipelines and power plants while ignoring the dire consequences, now on display across Europe. On Thursday, more than 40 New York officials, including likely next mayor Eric Adams, demanded Gov. Kathy Hochul nix permits for a natural-gas plant to replace two in Brooklyn. The facility would “undermine” New York’s “aggressive renewable energy goals,” their letter says. “Aggressive”? What an understatement: A 2019 law calls for 70 percent of renewable power by 2030, a goal that could cripple the state. And it came amid a years-long crusade by ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo to oppose gas pipelines,

It is difficult to imagine a worse time for massive increases in taxes and spending, yet that’s exactly what Democrats in Washington, D.C. have in mind. We are all aware that, as Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated this week, President Joe Biden views the COVID-19 pandemic as an opportunity to "make fundamental changes in our economy." But the changes he has in mind are about to drive us over an economic cliff. Businesses of all sizes are already being buffeted by seemingly intractable supply chain constraints, along with labor shortages, and unusually high consumer demand—all driven by pandemic-lockdown conditions that are only going to cause prices to soar

Preliminarily, it is tragic that 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins, a rising cinematographer in Hollywood, died yesterday on the set of Rust, a movie being filmed in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My thoughts are with the loved ones she left behind. Having said that, I cannot escape a feeling that karma had a hand in this one because the finger on the trigger of the gun that killed Hutchins belonged to Alec Baldwin, a hysterical leftist who is fanatically opposed to the Second Amendment. To give a sense of Baldwin’s hostility to gun rights, in 2018, the smug and constitutionally illiterate Baldwin had some harsh words for Dana Loesch, an NRA spokeswoman

Somehow, someone made the decision to let Joe Biden out and to go to a CNN town hall. I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea. But even within the friendly confines of CNN, it was a complete train wreck — even by Biden standards. Let’s start with the creepiness and the incoherence. Here’s Joe Biden claiming that top corporations “don’t pay a cent” in taxes with that creepy stage whisper voice.

The study also found that the booster shot was found to be safe with no safety concerns or severe adverse events reported. Pfizer had said its two-shot vaccine's efficacy drops over time, citing a study that showed 84 percent effectiveness four months later after a peak of 96 percent-and said this is evidence that a booster is needed to sustain protection

The new test is believed to have taken place on August 13 and involved a similar 'hypersonic glide vehicle' to one launched into space on board a Long March rocket back in July, which was first reported earlier this week. Beijing has acknowledged one of the tests, claiming it launched a 'peaceful' civilian spacecraft. But analysts believe the craft can actually be tipped with a nuclear warhead which would be able to evade missile defences. Even government scientists are struggling
