Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin on Tuesday issued an executive order banning vaccine mandates and required coronavirus testing in schools and colleges in the state, prompting Gov. Brad Little to say he had not authorized her to act on his behalf while he was at the U.S-Mexico border. Little said he would "rescind" any executive orders McGeachin issues while he is away and she is acting governor, including her attempt this week to send National Guard troops to the border. "I am in Texas performing my duties as the duly elected Governor of Idaho, and I have not authorized the Lt. Governor to act on my behalf," Little said

Both Republicans. It would appear that Little is of the Pierre Delecto stripe.

#1, not really true. Little is not the most conservative governor we could have, but he generally does a good job. As for McGeachin, I'm all for conservative firebrands, but this girl is a self-serving embarrassment.

It’s becoming clear we are running out of places to go to live in relative conservative peace, which is why we must fight for what we have.

Hmmm, one official bans mandates(which are UnAnerican) and the other swears to reinstate them and the reinstater s the conservative one? Methinks that definition of ‘conservative’ may not jibe with the one we all know. Not real sure how that works.

I don't know anything about this situation, but I think Maybe the Governor's place is back in his own state, and taking care of business.

simple solution to this matter - just don't allow the governor back in the state and just tell him he's not longer needed in the office

Idaho media and her poltical opponents are smearing McGeachin, just as Sarah Palin was smeared by media and ruling elite. McGeachin speaks out, speaks the truth--- oh no, the cronies in Boise, including Little Brad, cannot allow that. Little Brad bears a striking resemblance to Jed Clampett.

Truman Show presidency’: Biden mocked

Joe Biden is being ruthlessly mocked for continuing to pose in front of a fake White House window framing a Rose Garden in impossible spring bloom. The digital recreation of the famous White House scene, staged across the street from the genuine White House, hasn’t updated its software to reflect the reality of a Washington DC in the fall. “Truman Show Presidency,” tweeted Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec, referencing the 1998 Jim Carey classic. “They gave Joe Biden a playschool desk and a fake Oval Office in a fake White House,” he added.

Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin, locked in a margin-of-error race with Democratic former Gov. Terence McAuliffe this fall, told Fox News he is not surprised his opponent admitted President Biden's popularity is collapsing in the Old Dominion. On "The Story", host Martha MacCallum noted Biden won Virginia by more than 10 points, and contrasted that with McAuliffe's admission during a leaked videoconference with Democratic activists that "headwinds from Washington" and "Biden [being] unpopular in Virginia" could hurt his campaign if they do not get out the vote.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki attempted to walk back a statement by presidential climate envoy John Kerry which claimed President Joe Biden "had not been aware of what had transpired" following a submarine deal with Australia that upset the French. "Of course he was aware of the French being upset," Psaki said in response to a question on the matter from Fox News' Peter Doocy. "He of course was aware, the president, of the French being displeased about the deal with the Australians. John Kerry also speaks regularly to the French as part of his role as the climate envoy. He's someone who also served as Secretary of State."

So this is crazy. Monday, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the FBI would investigate a "disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation and threats of violence against school administrators, board members, teachers and staff." A disturbing spike? Are we talking about legitimate charges or Trey Gowdy’s hair? In the memo they decry threats of violence. But is it actual terroristic activities, or parents trying to get to the bottom of a lousy education? Which, in the long run, is more of a national threat - than China, Russia and Iran combined.

In a rare instance in which House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was unable to do what she needed to do to win a vote, progressive House Democrats secured a major win last week by blocking the passage of the bipartisan infrastructure bill the speaker promised would make it through the chamber by Thursday. It was a stunning failure for the speaker who's been known for years for her iron grip on her caucus and her ability to win major votes by the slimmest of margins. It caused President Biden's two biggest agenda items to come to a screeching halt in Congress.

President Joe Biden desperately needs a win. He has spent hours trying to jawbone Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., into supporting his $3.5 trillion "social infrastructure" bill. Why hasn’t he hauled progressive lawmakers into the Oval Office as well? Why not sit down with Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., the head of the uber-liberal caucus that has stymied progress on his bipartisan infrastructure bill? Why no late-night calls to Bernie Sanders, the Vermont socialist who is clearly the shadow president and who has resisted calls to trim Biden’s monster spending package? We know why: there’s no point.

Afghanistan’s capital could be plunged into darkness as the winter sets in because the country’s new Taliban rulers haven’t paid Central Asian electricity suppliers or resumed collecting money from consumers. Unless addressed, the situation could cause a humanitarian disaster, warned Daud Noorzai, who resigned as chief executive of the country’s state power monopoly, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, nearly two weeks after the Taliban’s takeover on Aug. 15. "The consequences would be countrywide, but especially in Kabul. There will be blackout and it would bring Afghanistan back to the Dark Ages when it comes to power and to telecommunications," said Mr. Noorzai

A new Treasury Department report tells us what we already know: Child care costs are unaffordable for many families. In response to this, lawmakers have included $250 billion in child care subsidies in the $3.5 trillion spending bill currently under consideration. While this effort might strike many Americans as a well-intended “hand up” to working parents, it comes with a significant downside, and not just the price tag to taxpayers. The most serious problem with government-funded child care is the downstream effect on the quality, variety, and independence of child care providers in today’s robust — although expensive — marketplace. In other areas, government funding has proved to function like a

Four-star General Mark A. Milley, 20th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and highest-ranking officer in the United States Armed Forces, is a walking answer to the unasked question, “What if Jim Mattis were fat and dumb?” With his fellow four-star and President Trump’s first secretary of defense, Milley shares a powerful but muted arrogance, a strong but less than rabid hawkishness, a clear political ambition that nonetheless defies immediate identification, and the obvious desire to be seen as a 21st-century warrior-scholar. Divorce usually isn’t a good idea, and that’s especially true of a nearly 250-year-old continental nation. The notion of a national breakup has long simmered as a fringe argument, but it is increasingly popular in certain precincts of the political right and has gained at least some traction with partisans of both sides. A recent survey by the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia found that about 50 percent of Donald Trump voters and 40 percent of Joe Biden voters agreed to some extent with the proposition that the country should split up, with either red or blue states seceding.
