Treason as Highest Form of Patriotism

Original Article

Since the early 1970s, when the Baby Boomer acolytes of George McGovern took control of the Democrat Party, the Left has been telling us that “dissent is the highest form of patriotism.” That is to say, the more strongly you oppose the policies and moral values of your country, the more you love it. Like a devoted parent disciplining a wayward child, you are only showing it tough love in order to correct its ways, “fundamentally transforming” it (as Barack Obama might say) in order to improve it. For those of you who did not come of age during the 1960s, this is a sloganized version of Herbert Marcuse’s infamous notion

One of the first pieces I have seen mentioning the beginning of this cancer with the vulgar boomers of the McGovern campaign, that included both Clintons.

Wow. for years I've been saying that the democrat party was taken over between 1968 and 1972 by people who hate this country and the freedoms she stands for. Their first win was legalizing abortion. I bet they thought that would be the hardest thing, to convince women to kill their own children. After that, it was pretty easy. We have normalized homosexuality, and not content with that they are telling us it's possible to change your sex and convincing people that men can get pregnant and give birth, even the drug laws are now falling and using drugs is normal. For years, I've been saying that the democrat party is the most corrupt organization in the history of this country. It's a criminal enterprise masquerading as a political party. Exactly word for word in this article. From the Civil War, to killing Lincoln, to the terrorist arm of the party, the KKK, every time Congress tried to make it a Federal crime to lynch someone, the democrats voted it down. I feel as if I'm a prophet.

Magnificent piece. What are we going to do about it? We must recognize, first and foremost, the urgent need for fair elections. Only with fair elections can we to put leaders in place to right the ship. And therefore our task -- which is very do-able -- is to lean on our state legislators to ensure safeguards are put in place so that the stolen election of 2020 will be a one-time occurrence.

#7 That ain't funny. Those helicopters fly over my head, a couple of hundred feet above the ground, most nights while practicing. A couple of them could blow away half the county before anyone knew anything was out of the ordinary. I used to enjoy seeing them practicing before desert storm and at other times when they would be facing enemy fire. I wanted them to get trained well because I wanted to see them get home safely after fighting for me. It isn't so much fun watching them any more.

America lost a great patriot and one of its foremost public intellectuals yesterday with the untimely death of Angelo Codevilla at the age of 78. Professor Codevilla, whose career spanned the Navy, the foreign service, the intelligence community, academe, think tanks, the blogosphere, and the literary world, was one of the the sharpest and shrewdest observers of the contemporary political scene -- hardly surprising, since the Italian-born scholar produced a notable 1997 translation of Machiavelli's The Prince. The core of his appeal -- for his students, for those who heard him speak

A pivotal feature of dictatorial regimes is the institutional lie, expressed as an unfounded message of millennial hope, an ever-changing set of legislated policies, and the tendency of authoritarian leaders to violate their own axioms and edicts. We see this happening before our eyes as a Covid-19 tyranny takes root on our own soil. The manifold inconsistencies and deceptions that circulate regarding the draconian mandates and coercive measures imposed by Big Government to combat the Covid pandemic should by now have alerted the public to their suspicious nature. We have observed the extent to which these ordinances are regularly flouted by the authorities

To the surprise of only the Biden administration and its top brass, the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan last week after 20 years of frivolous American adventurism. It was a spectacular failure of American diplomacy, statecraft, intelligence and, most of all, military capability. In short, mission very much not accomplished. But that’s pretty much standard operating procedure for the nearly useless behemoth called the Pentagon, which hasn’t won a war since the kinder, gentler American government changed its name from the War Department to the Defense Department shortly after World War II. If you’re always on defense, you’re losing.

If President Joe Biden’s no-questions-please press conference on the collapse of the American puppet government in Afghanistan and the end of the American imperium in the Middle East felt like a funeral, that’s because it was. The ignominious defeat after 20 years of fruitless, half-hearted warfare marks the end of the federal geopolitical Leviathan state that emerged during and in the aftermath of World War II. Good riddance to it. It’s fitting that the end should come with Biden [snip] Over the past seven months as chief executive, however, he has ruined the economy, expanded the welfare state, encouraged anarchy, criminalized dissent,

Despite the steady drumbeat from the media, government agencies, Big Pharma and the established medical bureaucracies attesting to the safety and effectiveness of the COVID vaccines, those who remain skeptical of their trustworthiness advance a range of countervailing arguments. The vaccines are really panaceas, essentially unreliable, innocuous or even useless. Favorable trial results are statistically manipulated. The Pfizer math is shifty and the “per protocol” method is frankly disingenuous, constituting a violation of bioethics laws. The vaccines are potentially harmful, yielding dangerous side-effects, aka “adverse reactions,” that are routinely underreported in passive, voluntary sites like VAERS in the U.S. and Yellow Card in the U.K.

One of the many traps into which conservatives routinely fall is thinking that their ideological opponents don’t fully understand the nature and the consequences of the ruinous policies they advocate. Cries of, “don’t they realize that…” and “surely they can see the hypocrisy” fill the air as the well-meaning but utterly naïve Right tries to make sense of the rabid, foaming Left and its dynamic plan for “direct action,” that is, force and violence. How else to explain the events of the past nine months, the astonishingly fast descent of the United States of America from a muscular Republic confident of its history, purpose, and mission

Back in 1943, the British novelist Graham Greene published “The Ministry of Fear,” a thriller set in World War II London involving mercy killings, exploding suitcases, seances, Luftwaffe air raids, outright murder, insane asylums and undercover Nazi spies. It was successfully made into a movie the following year starring Ray Milland as the troubled protagonist, and directed by Fritz Lang, himself a refugee from Hitler. Both novel and film capture the paranoid atmosphere during that troubled time, with danger lurking even in something as innocent as a cake. Whom or what can you trust?

One of the things the Left hates most about the United States of America is that there are 50 of them. A leftist revolution is more easily accomplished in a country in which power is already consolidated in a single place among a small group of people. Despite the vast territory of the Russian empire under the last of the Tsars, Lenin was able to hijack the initial anti-Tsarist revolt and turn it into a Bolshevik seizure of power. With Donald Trump’s reappearance on the political scene a few days ago at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, the former president has once again emerged as the activists’ choice for the 2024 nomination—if the election were held today. Trump won the votes of 70 percent of the attendees, followed by Florida governor Ron DeSantis at 21 percent; the others, including Ted Cruz, Nikki Haley, and Mike Pompeo, each collected less than one percent of the straw vote. The presidential election, however, isn’t going to be held today or any other day except (nominally) Nov. 5, 2024. At least the Republicans had better hope that’s the case.

The vaccines are extravagantly touted as reliable antitoxins; at the same time the disease apparently continues to surf from wave to wave and variant to variant. [snip] Cases are up, fatalities down,

Three glistening new buildings in downtown Seattle with 165 studio apartments — originally to be rented at market rates — will instead house the homeless. The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) is buying the buildings with taxpayer dollars for about $50 million, with federal COVID-19 relief funds splitting the cost equally. Seattle City Hall is contributing about $25 million, while also using “American Rescue Plan Act” funds. A large portion comes from Washington State’s Department of Commerce.
