Report: Nancy Pelosi Offers Far-Left $2.1
Trillion Reconciliation Package

Original Article

Posted By: Dreadnought, 10/1/2021 12:41:45 PM

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) reportedly offered the radical House Democrats a price tag of $2.1 trillion for the reconciliation package, down from $3.5 trillion but more expensive than Sen. Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) topline of $1.5 trillion. The offered package to the House Democrats includes items such as child care, paid leave, health care, and climate change, according to Politico Playbook. The offer presents which measures may survive the trimmed but still large package and which measures may be removed. “For instance, there was no mention of things like free community college or affordable housing or even Bernie Sanders’ prized expansion of Medicare to offer dental, vision and hearing benefits,” Playbook reports.

What does child care, paid leave, health care, and climate change have to do with "infrastructure"? This is nothing but a way to make surfs who own nothing out of kids and grandkids. Get ready for $5 - $6 dollar gas

"Inexcusable": Did Biden's infrastructure
meeting with House Dems backfire?

Remember that Pelosi will need all of the moderates in her caucus plus a few centrist Republicans to eventually pass the bipartisan infrastructure bill. That’s because some — not all, but some — progressives are demanding that the Senate pass a reconciliation bill before the House votes on anything. But there’s no chance of that happening. The most that Senate Dems like Manchin and Sinema will do in the near term to reassure House lefties that reconciliation will ultimately get done is agree to an informal public “framework.” That may not be good enough for Pramila Jayapal, the Squad, and a few other hardliners.

The latest Associated Press/NORC poll numbers were released yesterday and the news wasn’t very encouraging for President Joe Biden or his supporters. Following several weeks of consistently bad headlines, it would seem that people are beginning to sour on the “Build Back Better” presidency. This poll has consistently been a bit kinder to Biden than some of the other major polling outfits and that was once again the case this week. The report from the AP also seems to try to paint a somewhat more charitable picture, but the reality is that Biden’s numbers were down across the board. But the decline we’re seeing isn’t coming from Republicans and conservatives

The Hampton Roads Black Caucus (HRBC) endorsed Republican Glenn Youngkin in Virginia’s gubernatorial race, Youngkin revealed during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Saturday. Youngkin, who is facing former Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) in the November 2 election, said he had just received the endorsement Saturday morning. “I am so honored and humbled, and it just reflects the fact that there is broad-based support for a platform that’s going to bring down our cost of living and cut taxes so people can keep more of their paycheck,” Youngkin said.

Digital media firm Ozy Media abruptly shut down Friday following allegations of fraud and a reportedly toxic workplace environment, leaving big-time investors, including Laurene Powell Jobs — the powerful leftist billionaire widow of Steve Jobs — in the dust with their multimillion-dollar investments. The company, founded in 2013, abruptly shut down this week following the publication of a damaging New York Times article, reporting that someone at Ozy allegedly impersonated a YouTube executive during a business meeting with Goldman Sachs investors, who were apparently considering a $40 million investment in the company. “Once everyone had made the switch

The progressives have been throwing fits over the reconciliation bill. They forced a stalemate when they refused to vote on the bipartisan infrastructure bill without having a vote on the reconciliation bill first. Moderates are refusing to move the reconciliation bill first and they have issues in general with the price tag of the bill. The reconciliation bill is generally reported as $3.5 trillion. But as we’ve reported, it’s actually likely far more than that — closer to over $5 trillion — although Democrats are now trying to argue that it will cost “zero dollars.” On top of the spending that we’ve already had this past year,

A handful of Afghans living temporarily on United States military bases, as part of President Joe Biden’s massive resettlement operation, have been reported for robbery and theft, U.S. Air Force General Glen VanHerck says. During a press conference this week, VanHerck confirmed that there have been criminal instances at several of the U.S. military bases where the Biden administration is currently housing about 40,800 Afghans. “In six weeks in Operation Allies Welcome, in a population of 53,000, there have been eight reported cases of robbery and theft,” VanHerck said, downplaying the cases by comparing them to crimes committed by American citizens.

President Joe Biden will travel to his home in Delaware on Saturday, according to the White House, after his agenda stalled in Congress due to Democrat infighting. The president spent Friday afternoon meeting with Democrats on Capitol Hill to try to advance his $5 trillion spending agenda, but to no avail. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi failed to meet her Thursday deadline to hold a vote in the House to pass the Senate infrastructure deal, as Thursday turned into Friday without a vote being held. Biden visited House Democrats on Friday afternoon, but he left after an hour of meetings with no certainty

President Joe Biden deflated the air of urgency around a bipartisan infrastructure vote and tamped down liberal dreams of a $3.5 trillion spending bill in a speech before House Democrats Friday. Hours later, Democratic leaders conceded defeat — at least for now. After weeks of trying and failing to find a legislative solution both the progressive and centrist wings of the caucus could support, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her team passed a bill temporarily funding expiring transportation programs and sent frustrated members home until they can find a solution. “It’s not a success,” House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said in a brief interview Friday night.

House speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) said Democrats need more time to pass a $1 trillion infrastructure bill and potential $3.5 trillion resolution to be passed via budget reconciliation, in a Dear Colleague letter released on Friday evening. “While great progress has been made in the negotiations to develop a House, Senate and White House agreement on the Build Back Better Act, more time is needed to complete the task,” Pelosi wrote. “Our Chairs are still working for clarity and consensus. Clearly, the Bipartisan Infrastructure bill will pass once we have agreement on the reconciliation bill.”

After the Democrats failed to pass their massive spending bill late Thursday night, the liberal news networks on Friday morning woke viewers with panic, fretting that a left-wing “civil war” and a “failure” of leadership by Joe Biden would lead to “chaos.” CBS offered a half-hearted attempt at salvaging the situation, saying that the President is a “couple stops away from humiliation.” Quite the compliment, huh? Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie opened the show by warning, “Civil War. Democrats fail to come together on a deal for that massive trillion dollar infrastructure package.” She breathlessly related that “President Biden’s agenda hanging in the balance

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Yasmin Vossoughian Reports,” Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) argued that the $3.5 trillion price tag for the Build Back Better Act reconciliation package “is a modest investment” for an economy the size of America’s. Torres said, “[T]here’s misconception about the price tag of the Build Back Better Act. The Build Back Better Act, the original draft, it is not 3.5 trillion over the course of a year. It’s over the course of ten years. So, it’s $350 billion. Which, for a $20 trillion economy like ours, is a modest investment. So, I think it’s shortsighted to focus on the price tag.”

The anti-Biden chants came during Brown’s post-race interview. After Brown told a reporter his victory was a "dream come true," the crowd began to loudly shout in unison their displeasure with the president. The reporter acknowledged the chants and claimed the fans were shouting "Let’s go Brandon!" NASCAR initially posted video of the interview with the chant but later deleted the tweet. Fox News reached out to NASCAR to ask why the post was taken down but did not immediately receive a response.
