'My 12-year-old has to get vaccinated
but a teacher doesn't'? Fury as Gov. Newsom
mandates shots for ALL California students
from 7th to 12th grade - but exempts staff

Governor Gavin Newsom has been condemned for his 'wrong and cowardly' mandate which demands all California students from 7th to 12th grade get the COVID-19 vaccine but does not require their teachers to get the shot. Social media erupted in outrage Friday night as people pointed out the alarming difference between the rules for children and staff, with many accusing the governor of being influenced by the powerful teachers' unions. 'Kids must get vaccine, but teacher don't have to. The lesson? Kids need a better union,' one person tweeted. Newsom announced Friday that all elementary through high school students will be required to get the shot

Comments:

Are members of California's state legislature also exempt from the mandate, as they are on the federal level? Not that it matters much; important people have access to providers who wouldn't have a problem simply writing out a vaccination card if that's what they want.

I am effing furious at the posters on this site that keep telling us patriotic, conservative Californians that we deserve what we supposedly voted for. California is corrupt. Who should be blamed? Let’s start with one of my heroes - Ronald Reagan. He was the first to give amnesty to illegals and the die was cast. Some of us cannot move and it would be helpful if some of you would inflict your venom on more worthy characters.

Keep your children safe, parents. And grandparent, help them stay safe. For young people, the risks of this shot harming them are far higher than the possibility that it will help them. British research shows six times more young boys got heart damage than the number that were hospitalized with the virus.

The teacher is part of a union that gives money to the left. In return for these contributions they get to do pretty much what they want to do. The poor citizens just get to pay for everything with limited voices. The citizens has a choice and this is what they chose

It should be obvious by now the majority of people are NOT voting for these scum. Eight million signed to have this governor removed. Only two million votes showed up to do so. There were things in the pipeline already, such as this, and there was no way the woke would let him be removed. Just like 80 million of us voted for Trump and by the morning after the election, Bide miraculously had 81 million. We might be able to do the physical act of voting, but we aren't electing anyone.

The Teachers Union pension and retirement fund was Tax Exempt until 1997, now is "Non-Profit", even though they had $40.8 BILLION in revenue last year. Ditto, #4. New Jersey here. Why do I "deserve" this government I endure? I live and vote with my and all our best interests in mind, hoping that somehow sanity and HONESTY will prevail. Sorry, I can't move from state to state every time an election doesn't go my way--and there really are no "safe" places for us anymore, anyway. There is a push in every state to make it forever Blue, so watch your own backs! Just because a state is Red today doesn't mean it will forever be Red. Plus, aren't we supposed to be fighting wherever we are, instead of cutting and running? A little more understanding from posters here who so easily toss off snarky remarks would be appreciated. All of us are in the same fight, struggling against a monstrous and corrupt government. Maybe those who do it should identify their state of residence, as well as congressional district. If we're going for purity tests, then lets see their credentials. We are, at least for now, still supposed to be UNITED States.

I was a citizen of California. I saw the hand writing on the wall back in 96 and ran. Increasing taxes, regulations, illegal immigration, pollution, riots, earthquakes, fires, and crime. And this was with a republican. When I say "the people" I mean that collectively. The "people" of California has chosen this path. Just like New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Massachusetts etc etc. Majorities of people of those states pulled the lever for complete democrat control and find themselves surprised at the results. Worse, the "people" seem incapable of putting 2 and 2 together. Conservatives are under assault in every state, including red states. "WE" collectively are every bit as responsible for our current condition as the morons who vote for democrats. "We" have largely allowed this to happen. We vote every two or four years, send in campaign donations, complain on sites like this and occasionally write a letter to an elected official. What percentage of the 75 million Trump voters actually took to the streets, worked on a campaign, went door to door, actually stood up in public and said "Stop! No more!". How many have put their careers, reputations etc on the line? How many will accept the jab to save their jobs? I am every bit as guilty as the vast majority here. So yea...... I'm getting what I deserve too.

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases head and chief White House medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that Republicans need to “face reality” and realize immigrates are not “the driving force” of the coronavirus pandemic. Anchor Dana Bash said, “Doctor Fauci A new Kaiser Family Foundation poll asked Americans what they thought the major reasons for high coronavirus spread are and the top reasons the Republicans gave was immigrants and tourists bringing COVID-19 into the U.S. Are immigrants a major reason why COVID-19 is spreading in the U.S.?” Fauci said, “No, absolutely

Dr. Fauci on Friday was grilled on CNBC about so-called Covid ‘breakthrough’ cases. “Dr. Fauci, you guys have been pushing the vaccine and I understand why – I’m vaccinated, but I also have Covid and it spread through my entire family in the past few weeks,” CNBC host Sara Eisen said from her home office. She continued, “And I just wonder about the public messaging around vaccinations. Three vaccinated people got Covid in my house, two unvaccinated children got it. Are you too casual about the limitations of the vaccine? Because it does feel to me that breakthroughs are happening, they’re happening regularly

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Yasmin Vossoughian Reports,” Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) argued that the $3.5 trillion price tag for the Build Back Better Act reconciliation package “is a modest investment” for an economy the size of America’s. Torres said, “[T]here’s misconception about the price tag of the Build Back Better Act. The Build Back Better Act, the original draft, it is not 3.5 trillion over the course of a year. It’s over the course of ten years. So, it’s $350 billion. Which, for a $20 trillion economy like ours, is a modest investment. So, I think it’s shortsighted to focus on the price tag.”

Benedict Cumberbatch is reflecting on playing a closeted cattle rancher who falls in love with a young man in 1920s Montana in his new movie “The Power of the Dog.” The Oscar-nominated actor plays Phil Burbank, a hypermasculine rancher who inspires fear in awe in those around him—a reign of terror that comes from a deeply closeted sexuality. His made-up persona runs into some trouble after his brother (Jesse Plemons) brings home a new wife (Kirsten Dunst) and her queer son (Kodi Smit-McPhee). Phil torments them until he finds himself exposed to the possibility of love.

A black woman has been charged with posing as a member of the Ku Klux Klan and posting notes through neighbors' doors threatening to kill their children. Terresha Lucas, 30, has been charged with eight counts of making terroristic threats, according to the Douglasville, Georgia Police Department. Investigators allege that Lucas wrote letters describing herself as a ‘six-feet-tall white male with a long, red beard who did not live in the neighborhood.’ In March, residents of the Brookmont subdivision of Manning Drive in Douglasville, some 23 miles west of Atlanta, began receiving threatening, racist letters in the mail. 'I received one two days ago and I was alarmed

Despite having the highest vaccination rates in the country, there are constant reminders for most New England states of just how vicious the delta variant of COVID-19 is. Hospitals across the region are seeing full intensive care units and staff shortages are starting to affect care. Public officials are pleading with the unvaccinated to get the shots. Health care workers are coping with pent-up demand for other kinds of care that had been delayed by the pandemic. “I think it’s clearly frustrating for all of us,” said Michael Pieciak, the commissioner of the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation who monitor

With all the different people involved in the current chaos going on in Washington, one name you wouldn’t expect to hear is Hillary Clinton. After all, she’s not a relevant figure outside of her cult fan base. Yet, the two-time failed presidential candidate — who lost the 2016 election and then blamed Russia for four years — decided to weigh in, and I’m pretty sure she’s lost her mind. Trump well and truly broke this woman. [Tweet] Before we get to Hillary, I just want to point out that this staff writer for The Atlantic claims to be genuinely afraid of the fall of our government and “minority rule.”

Traditionally, dogs have been seen as impure, and the Islamic legal tradition has developed several injunctions that warn Muslims against most contact with dogs. Unfortunately, many Muslims have used this view to justify the abuse and neglect of dogs, even though cruelty contradicts the Qur’an’s view that all animals form “communities like you. Having dogs as pets is considered to be Haram. Hunting dogs are fine for Hunting game but as pets, no no. It’s a filthy animal. I guess this is why people get mad or scared because of their beliefs.
