It's come to this, according to NBC Chicago: The City of Chicago is installing hundreds of kits in city buildings to treat bleeding gunshot victims under a new program officials say could help save lives in an emergency. Chicago's Office of Emergency Management and Communications announced earlier this month that the city has begun installing 426 wall mounted "Bleeding Control Kits" in 269 buildings across the city.

We already see soaring prices, empty store shelves, shortages of critical products, factories shut down, workers unemployed, and people freezing in their homes. Leftist elites, utterly appalled by the mass-market luxuries of America, are obsessed with making the hoi polloi give up. COVID's been a useful shibboleth for it -- to force us to give up our freedom of movement and body integrity. Global warming works even better. Based on satisfying that ravenous god, they'd like us to give up our cars, airline flights, single-family housing, income (to goverrnment taxes), and ... meat. Facebook has shut down advertising for a new song by John Ondrasik, called "Got Blood on My Hands," about Joe Biden's disastrous pullout from Afghanistan. They did it on the typical spurious grounds of "violation of terms of service." One of the best is a story receiving almost no coverage in the larger press: the Venezuela elections this November. The democratic opposition has agreed to participate after years of boycotting the Maduro regime’s rigged voting.
