MSNBC host Tiffany Cross argued Saturday that white women should be held responsible for laws restricting access to abortion. During a regular segment on her show titled “Make It Make Sense,” Cross argued that white women who voted for Republicans were responsible at least in part for laws that limited abortion access like Texas’ recent heartbeat bill. “The stress and the anxiety — I actually have a pit in my stomach right now,” Bure, who co-hosted the show from 2015 to 2016 across two seasons, said during the most recent podcast episode. “There was only one type of stress that I’ve ever felt in my life, that came from that show. And I [have] PTSD, like, I can feel it. It was so difficult, and to manage that emotional stress was very, very hard.”

NBC’s Chuck Todd asked Sunday former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, who wrote a tell-all book about her time in former President Donald Trump’s administration, to explain why she deserves the American people’s trust.
“You admit that … many times in Trump world you were asked to misinform or perhaps lie on behalf of the boss. So, you’re doing a tell-all now. Why should we believe you?” Todd asked.

The State Department released newly declassified information Tuesday about the number of nuclear weapons in the U.S. stockpile, reversing the position it took under former President Donald Trump.
The total number of nuclear weapons in active status and in long-term storage was 3,750 as of September 2020, the department said in a press release. The number is a roughly 88% reduction compared to its maximum of 31,255 warheads in 1967 and a roughly 83% reduction compared to 22,217 warheads near the end of the Cold War in 1989.

According to Outkick, a new Texas law took effect September 1 that requires all pro sports teams to play the national anthem or repay any government money received. Seeing as how most pro sports arenas are at least publicly funded in part, teams that refuse to play the national anthem could be on the hook for an outrageous amount of money. For those of you who might not remember, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban tried to stop his team from playing the national anthem and his choice caused massive backlash.

Central Maine Medical Center, a key hospital for regional healthcare, issued a dire warning about the need to shut down critical care services last week if they are forced to fire or lay-off all the unvaccinated workers. In new draft guidance, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (UPSTF) said that recent evidence has shown the risks of side effects far outweigh any potential benefits for seniors. This means that low-dose, or baby, aspirin should only be taken daily by patients have had a heart attack or stroke in the past or by younger adults with no bleeding risks. Southwest CEO Gary Kelly had a major announcement on Tuesday about the vaccine mandate the airline recently issued: His company won’t be enforcing it.
During an interview with ABC News on Tuesday, the CEO said that no employees would be fired over the company’s vaccine mandate. Earlier, the airline announced that all employees needed to get vaccinated against COVID-19 by November 24 or face termination.

The White House on Tuesday warned Republican governors of Texas and Florida that President Joe Biden would override their efforts to fight coronavirus vaccine mandates in their states.
“We know that federal law overrides state law,” she said referring to state attempts to ban vaccine passports.
She accused Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott of playing politics by issuing executive orders that fight vaccine passports.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas issued new orders Tuesday halting ICE from going after large numbers of illegal immigrants at job sites, saying it is a waste of resources and actually helps unscrupulous employers abuse unauthorized workers.
Mr. Mayorkas said he wants his department’s three immigration agencies to come up with new strategies to target employers while leaving the illegal immigrants unscathed.
