Candace Cameron Bure told ABC’s “Behind The Table” podcast she has post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from her time co-hosting ABC’s “The View.” “The stress and the anxiety — I actually have a pit in my stomach right now,” Bure, who co-hosted the show from 2015 to 2016 across two seasons, said during the most recent podcast episode. “There was only one type of stress that I’ve ever felt in my life, that came from that show. And I [have] PTSD, like, I can feel it. It was so difficult, and to manage that emotional stress was very, very hard.”

A retired Oakland Police Captain was shot and wounded during a robbery attempt at a gas station Thursday, the Oaklandside reported.
Ersie Joyner, an officer who retired in 2019 after 28 years of service, was pumping gas when three people in hooded sweatshirts and face masks tried to rob him. Surveillance video shows the three individuals grab Joyner and try to take his belongings. Joyner drew a gun, killed one of the suspects and may have wounded another before the three individuals fled the scene, the Oaklandside reported.
Procter and Gamble said Tuesday it is raising prices on a variety of popular home goods due to a sharp increase in freight transportation and raw materials costs.
The company behind Tide detergent and Gillette razors announced it would increase prices for beauty, oral care and grooming products, like razors, according to The Wall Street Journal. Procter and Gamble (P&G) announced in July that it would charge more for consumer staples like diapers and toilet paper.
P&G anticipates that the price increase, coupled with high product demand, will offset the increased costs of transportation and raw materials, according to the WSJ.
Democrats criticized Republican Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan’s plan for “refunding police” Friday, calling it “misguided” and “divisive rhetoric.”
Hogan announced a $150 million plan to provide additional support to Maryland’s law enforcement agencies and victims of violent crime across the state at a press conference Friday. The State Department released newly declassified information Tuesday about the number of nuclear weapons in the U.S. stockpile, reversing the position it took under former President Donald Trump.
The total number of nuclear weapons in active status and in long-term storage was 3,750 as of September 2020, the department said in a press release. I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea. But even within the friendly confines of CNN, it was a complete train wreck — even by Biden standards.
Naturally, most of the questions from folks in the audience were Democrats or softball questions. But there were some highlights and it was disastrous.
Let’s start with the creepiness and the incoherence.

Pfizer-BioNTech released data on Thursday showing a booster dose of their COVID-19 vaccine is highly effective against the virus, including the Delta variant. Initial results from a Phase III trial of more than 10,000 participants aged 16 and older showed booster efficacy of 95.6 percent. The study also found that the booster shot was found to be safe with no safety concerns or severe adverse events reported. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg still hasn't settled on a new name for the company even though a rumored rebrand could arrive in a matter of days, tech newsletter Platformer reported.
