Team US regained the Ryder Cup on Sunday following a historically dominant performance over Europe at Whistling Straits. Having been beaten convincingly in 2018 at Le Golf National, France, the hosts were on top from the outset, racing into a 9-3 lead after the first three sessions. Although the visiting Europeans hinted at a comeback on Saturday afternoon, the US was able to enter Sunday leading 11-5. And during the Singles matches on Sunday, Collin Morikawa claimed the decisive half point to ensure the US had the required 14.5 points to regain the Ryder Cup and the famous trophy remained in the US.

We American television fans had a pleasant three days watching the great play at Whistling Straits--not that the European team didn't play well--they did. But the Americans outplayed them, and did what they had to do in winning the Ryder Cup by the largest margin since the EU superseded Great Britain as our opponent. This morning on #1 tee, Bryson "Bison" DeChambeau hit a 354 yard tee shot that finished on the green, 41 feet from the hole. DeChambeau made that putt, and I knew the rout was on, no matter how the EU played. Captain Stricker said, "Brooks and Bryson came together." Great news! Paul Azinger called the American young team--the youngest since 1927 in the inaugural Ryder Cup--"a monster collection of phenomenal players." Exactly! I think we're going to win some more Ryder Cups, and Soon.

It felt so good to see this Win for the Ryder Cup. We showed the world we are still the United States of America and are proud to wear our flag with honor and pride. Congratulations to all the golfers who participated, especially our European allies. Golf is the Game of Gentlemen and should be an example for politicians to follow.

The American team put their foot on the gas and didn't let off all 3 days. USA USA USA made me proud!

The American golfers displayed their skills. The American crowd displayed poor sportsmanship when they cheered when a European golfer's shot happened to go astray. The American media provided a poor presentation by not showing a lot of the golfer's shots but were more than willing to display commercials at a moments notice. And despite the announcers who droned on about golf being a life or death sport, the golf course itself was the star. The only thing missing were the goats and sheep who, if in Scotland, would be grazing on such a layout. Well done American side. Well done European side. The Ryder Cup was a good golfing competition.

Despite his vow to “build back better,” China is forcing all of Joe Biden’s moves. The Asian giant’s decision to pursue its own climate policy, consisting largely of more industrialization with green trimmings, effectively kills the Paris accords, so long a part of the progressive platform. How could it not? Beijing produces more emissions than the EU and U.S. combined. “In 2019, China’s emissions not only eclipsed that of the US — the world’s second-largest emitter at 11% of the global total — but also, for the first time, surpassed the emissions of all developed countries

Victory isn't quite yet in sight for the United States at the Ryder Cup, but it's a lot closer than anyone would have expected at this point in the tournament. With all team play complete, the United States leads Europe 11-5, an all-but-insurmountable lead heading into Sunday's singles matches. Through the first three rounds of the Ryder Cup, everything turned up America's way. Three straight 3-1 sessions staked the U.S. to a 9-3 lead heading into the Saturday afternoon fourball sessions. The Americans scuffled, but managed to split the four sessions. Every Ryder Cup has its share of heroes, and Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. -- On the 13th tee box Friday afternoon during four-ball -- after Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton had hit their tee shots -- Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau huddled for a chat. Shortly after they finished, Bryson reached in his bag, pulled out his driver and turned to the crowd as he lifted it over his head like a triumphant medieval lieutenant returning from the field of battle with his sword raised to the city. The gallery, of course, roared its approval. DeChambeau proceeded to try and drive the 394-yard par 4. Golf's foremost exhibitionist had finally found a perfect event for his skillset and his disposition.

The British energy industry is headed for a big shakeup as wholesale natural gas prices have been climbing since the beginning of this year. The latest gas price at the Dutch TTF hub, a European benchmark, gained on Monday to trade at 73.150 euros ($85.69) per megawatt-hour, close to the record high seen last week. The benchmark has risen a whopping 250 percent since January. British Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng felt it necessary to assure the British public that there would be gas to heat their homes this winter. “There is absolutely no question of the lights going out or people being unable to heat their homes,” Kwarteng told the House of Commons.

One does not wish to join the pandemic of viral fear whipped up by our political leaders, collusive medical “experts,” and the grossly irresponsible and programmatically ignorant media conglomerate. And yet, there is good reason to fear being inscribed in the category of “the unvaccinated”—the New Jews at risk of disenfranchisement and worse in the increasingly fascist temper of the times. From my perspective, this is not a frivolous analogy. Growing up Jewish in a small town in the north of Quebec under the sway of an ultramontane clergy, I know what it is to be publicly mocked, prohibited as an undesirable from entering certain local establishments, and fighting my

One recalls C.S. Lewis’ dystopian novel That Hideous Strength, a longtime favorite of mine, where he speaks of “false writings” and “men maddened with false promises and soured with true miseries.” Lewis held to an apocalyptic vision of moral and intellectual surrender to the idols of mere self-sufficiency and hedonistic indulgence, of a time characterized by the death of meaning and the weakening of belief in a just and merciful God. “The shadow of one dark wing is over all Tellus,” the human spirit is being progressively “enclosed,” as he describes it. There is not much of the Rapture here, little indication of the new Jerusalem prophesied in Revelation.
