The Texas Supreme Court Tuesday voided a district judge's temporary restraining order that blocked the threat of arrest for Democratic lawmakers who fled the state last month. Republican Gov. Greg Abbott threatened to arrest the nearly 60 Democratic representatives who fled the Texas legislature in order to block Republicans from establishing a quorum and passing a contested voting reforms bill. The state's Supreme Court ruling came after Abbott and House Speaker Dade Phelan petitioned the court Monday to overturn the protection order, meaning the lawmakers could all face arrest if they return from their month-long hiatus. I think that district judge issued his order a while back, so the Texas Supreme Court didn't really act swiftly. However, they did act to overturn the probably Obozo appointed judge order.

One of the Democrats whined about being arrested and taken to the House Chamber/jail against their will. Jail is usually what happens when you get arrested. You can prevent your arrest by returning to work and doing the job you were elected to do.

Gov. Abbott blew it in his over-reaction to the Corona virus last year. And he knows it. So he has worked overtime to try to earn back his conservative credentials the last few months. The Demon-Rats blew it thinking that he was going to fold like a wet card when they ran away like spoiled rotten children. They are going to get blasted by everything he has. And they know it. Their last grasp (using a bought and paid for lie-beral activist judge) failed. Now they are going to get the shame of being dragged into the House chambers in handcuffs, or they are going to have to show up on their own. But either way, they are going to be back in the House chambers for a vote on election integrity!!! And that is going to be sweet!!!!

Sen. The bill is basically a wishlist of every Democratic agenda item to help them hold onto power. While Manchin voted yes on a procedural vote to move the bill forward because he wanted discussion on the fiscal policy, he said that he was not in favor of the bill as presently constructed because of the huge cost:

Zalmay Khalilzad, the U.S. diplomat who negotiated a withdrawal deal with the Taliban last year, is back in Doha, Qatar, desperately trying to cobble together some kind of face-saving agreement for the Afghan government that would allow them to leave the country alive. The reason for Khalilzad’s haste is that the rate of collapse by the Afghan army has accelerated beyond anyone’s imaginings from just a couple of weeks ago. The Taliban took its 7th provincial capital on Tuesday and show absolutely no sign of slowing down their military offensive in order to negotiate a power-sharing deal with the Afghan government. The Biden administration admits the situation is desperate.

And according to Fox News, Cuomo seemed to threaten the reporter with arrest by state troopers, which his brother controls. Cuomo also refused to answer if he believed his brother’s accusers. The video began with the unnamed reporter greeting Cuomo at the dock and asking him about his unethical counseling of his brother while also working for CNN. In the past week, Democrat governors and other Democrat Party elected officials throughout the country have launched a coordinated effort to threaten Americans’ economic security by issuing hasty “do what we say or your job gets it” Covid diktats. This, at a time when it looks as if there is precious little that can be done about the virus, save perhaps shots and precautions like one would take for a nasty version of the yearly flu.
